Alfred---Orion

"How ar-" Alfred started, and then caught himself with a frown. His confusion could be resolved later. The Bulbasaur seemed to be intelligent enough now, he could ensure that his message made it to Tolin unaltered or mistranslated.
"When Solaris lead his guild back in time he said Orion had a pendant that radiated Psychic energy. With the pendant he was lucid and unaltered, when it was taken Solaris said there was a sudden change in temperment. I may not be able to locate the pendant, but I believe I know an artifact that will help greatly considering his ties with Arceus."

All the while Alfred spoke, Orion had leaped onto Tolin's bed to wave a paw over the Scyther's face and giggle.

"And? What is the artifact? Do we already have it, or at least know where it is?" Serrin was mildly impatient to hear the answer, given what a poor place Alfred had chose to pause his sentence. He also hated looking up--when did everything else get so big?

Puer's still all confused and stuff. He's really wondering what the hell is going on!

Alfred---Orion

Alfred had paused for a reason. It was the strangest thing. He'd known exactly what he was about to say and suddenly his thought process stopped completely.
Now he couldnt recall what his intentions were to begin with.
Hanging out with Orion too much?
No, that couldnt be it.
It was as though some force had pulled the idea right out of his mind.
"I...I dont..." The Gardevoir's face twisted in bewilderment. "I cant remember..."

Orion lifted his head from taunting the sleeping Scyther and glanced around as though having heard something. His ears twitched a few times and then with an almost visible shrug he returned to his taunting.

"You forgot?" This was absolutely unreal. He had forgotten? "This is... Hold on." Serrin hopped up on the bed and promptly extended a vine to start poking Tolin in the face. "Hey, wake up." The Scyther was unresponsive. Another sharp poke was met with silence.

This time, the vine trailed downwards to the stomach. It was right around here, if he recalled. One sharp poke where his softer stomach and green exoskeleton met had his eyes wide open. "God dammit!" His scythes stopped just short of stabbing his companion who wore a silly grin across his face. "Good morning! We have a bit of a problem, how alert are you?"

Tolin shifted his muscles individually, taking a check on how he was. His muscles didn't seem to want to respond fully, but his mind was at least somewhat there. "A bit woozy still. How long have I been out and what's wrong?" Serrin turned from his position on the bed. "A few hours? Gardy-boy was saying he had an idea on how to fix that one, but he forgot what it was. Some artifact. I don't really know what's going on, though." He signaled to Orion as he spoke, who had since been catapulted off the bed from Tolin's violent awakening.

"Oh. Hello, Alfred."

Alfred---Orion

Orion giggled from the chair he had been thrown into.
"DO IT AGAIN!"
The Gardevoir, however, was far from being in any good mood at the moment. A hand was raised to his mouth thoughtfully as he seached his mind depserately for what he'd been about to say earlier. So lost in thought he did not notice Tolin's awakening yet.
How could he just completely forget something so important? It wasnt like him. He rarely forgot anything. His memory was perfectly organized and his ability to recap events was unmatched.
A blaze of pain wound around his shoulder and he gasped at it, once again he found fire in his memory and that quickly transgressed to his first time at the Guild of Rebirth.
AH! There it was!
"Yes! Tolin! I know how to fix it, I think if we use-" No-no-no-no! He felt a tug in his mind, the idea slipping away again and finally it was gone, leaving him with just the faint whisps of possibility.
"DAMMIT!"
Lost it again.
How was this happening?!

"Nnn. What did you say exactly, Alfred?" He was too drugged for this crap. "Something about his ties with Arceus." Tolin rubbed his temples lightly with the back of his scythes. "Alright, then. Something with a strong connection to Arceus. Something with a strong connection to Arceus..." Tolin let his scythes drop and tried to consider the question carefully. "Ah, hell. I'm too woozy for this." He laid back in the bed, apparently too tired to stay sitting properly.

Alfred---Orion---???

"I believe the word you are looking for is 'Plates'."
"Yes, that's it! I know where to get the Mind Plate! It should have strong enough Psychic energy to help-" Wait...
The Gardevoir turned, as did Orion. Perched on the windowsill was the strangest Jolteon. His long lion-like tail flicked back and forth and a green bell chimed at his throat as he stepped in.
Instantly guarded, Alfred stepped on Orion's tail to keep him from bounding happily towards the stranger in greeting.
"Who are you?"
"My name is of no importance. You are the Rebirth master, is that correct?"
Pushing Orion back with his foot, Alfred nodded slightly.
"Excellent. I'll get to why I'm here soon, but for now I am content with waiting until you are through with your business here."

Whether it was the drugs, some kind of 6th sense or just being too tired, Tolin didn't seem to mind the intruder in the slightest. "I think that's everything. Lloyd thankfully lacked the foresight to cuff me." He turned his head to Alfred. "Did you need anything else while we're here?" The tone of the question carried the subtle suggestion that, so long as he was conscious, he felt like leaving.

Serrin nodded. "Good! I hope the plate is within convenient reach?" It would be good if the old man could get his memory back, one way or another. It would be... terrible if he couldn't. Serrin had a unique empathy for someone forced to live in their mind. He, also, seemed unperturbed by the Jolteon.

Alfred---Orion---???

The Gardevoir was quick to protest.
"You should stay here, Tolin. It's not like I have to fight through a horde of deranged lunatics to get to the Plate. I'd prefer you not DIE, because then I would have no one to talk to."
He didnt like worrying Lucinda and Sasha usually didnt like being in the same room as him.
"It is right before us and yet out of reach." Alfred commented cryptically, rather uneasy with the intense green eyes starring right at him.
"It's at Rebirth, those file cabinets I found can be moved and there is a glass door there. You can sense the Plate inside, but it wont open. It wont break, you cant cut it. It's 'out of reach'."
It was then the Jolteon stood.
"May I come as well? Sinse you are busy, if I assist it will cause this business to end quicker and I may ask my questions then."
The Gardevoir naturally seemed hesitant to trust.
"I...I suppose." He'd have to watch this electric type carefully.
Raising a hand to cover his shoulder self-consciously he quietly sorted through his thoughts.
Relieved when he found himself collected once more.

Tolin & Puer & Serrin

Tolin shook his head. "No. Wooziness aside, I'm alright. Judging from where they opened me up, there shouldn't be any issues as long as I don't get into a fight." He chuckled. "As you said, there's hardly a horde ahead of us. Besides, I would rather see the results first hand; I'm sure Orion will have much to say." His gaze switched from Alfred to Orion, and then finally to Serrin. He wasn't sure how far along the Bulbasaur was, but if he had even an inkling he would want to come as well. It was important that Tolin got a proper read on him as soon as possible, even under the influence of the drugs. Not to mention he had his curiosities about the Jolteon.

"I would like to come as well." Serrin looked at Orion with a gaze of pity. "I would hope he can retrieve his memories... and I would rather not wait. Would it be alright if I came along, Alfred?" That was his name, he believed. Tolin had addressed him as such earlier.

Puer was the only one of the three with the sense, caution or fear to raise objection. "Are you sure you'll be alright?" Tolin had, afterall, just been through a complicated surgery. The drugs hadn't yet worn off, leaving a certain doubt about his ability to judge. He had very nearly died. "It... seems risky to move around so soon."

Alfred---Orion---???

The Gardevoir seemed unconvinced. Nodding to Serrin's question but not to the Scyther.
"I actually agree with Puer on this one." This statement may, quite possibly, never be uttered again.
"You're not coming." It was said with finality as though Alfred could ensure the Scyther not come along.
"If it makes you feel better neither is Orion. He'll stay here with you while we attempt to obtain the plate. Then we'll bring it back here."
"Why do I haaave to stayyyyy?" Orion whined and sensing the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone Alfred smiled.
"Because if you dont stay here and watch Tolin carefully he may do something to cause the existence of pies to end."
"...WHAT?!"
"That's right, Orion. As a matter-of-fact, if Tolin so much as moves the next few hours then you can kiss your pies goodbye."
"YOU FIEND!" The Espeon whirled to suddenly lunge at the Scyther.
Being needlessly fluffy he would do no harm, but the sudden offset of weight would inevitable send Tolin falling backwards back onto the hospital bed.
A Psychic flared out like chains to pin the Scyther down and almost immediately afterwards Orion forgot he was angry at all and curled up on Tolin's chest to nap.
"That was...strangely diabolical."
"I know, I'm actually really tempted to try an evil laugh right now."
He felt only slight shame at tricking the poor, confused Espeon but it was needed and Orion would forgive him when he managed to get that damned plate.

Tolin & Puer & Serrin

This... Tolin saw what was coming at the words "watch Tolin". The shove back into the bed wasn't unexpected in the slightly. It was a dirty trick to say the least and also entirely ineffective. Tolin would have had absolutely no problem at all picking up the Espeon and sticking him somewhere else. Orion would likely forget that he had been picked up and promptly sail through the window, considering how he was lately. But, if Alfred was determined enough to use a trap such as this, he was rather set on not bringing the Scyther either way. So, disturbing Orion's nap wouldn't do much good. "Alright, then. Serrin will probably be more helpful than I at the moment, regardless. Just be sure to explain a few things to him." His ability to sort through problems and find the optimum solution had been second-to-none in the past.

"Thank you." Serrin approached the Gardevoir, extending a vine. Group-teleportation typically required physical contact, right? At the very least, that's what something at the back of his mind told him. He shook the thought from his mind; if he tried to grasp onto it too deeply, he would start questioning things again.

Puer was, of course, silent but grateful. He was genuinely concerned for his leader, partner and friend. Tolin was old and much more frail than he treated himself; that was becoming increasingly clear.

Alfred---Orion---???

"Mwa-ha-ha-ha!"
"I'd stick to being a good guy, boy. You've not the voice to do that properly."
"I suppose..."
Alfred was smiling. Granted, Tolin might have listened to reason regardless but why bother ruining his fun?
At least he was thorough.
Anyways it didnt matter in the least so long as the Scyther quit pretending he was fine.
"We'll be back momentarily then."
His Psychic suddenly swept out in the faintest visible outline of green that slowly traced over the Bulbasaur and Jolteon.
Without a sound they were suddenly gone.

Orion's head snapped up instantly.
"Excellent, thought they'd never leave." He stretched, leaping off Tolin and then with a wink he shattered the Psychic he'd used to pin the Scyther.
"We've things to discuss..."

Tolin & Puer

Ah, there definitely was no rest for the weary or the most of the way dead. He'd been most of the way in the grave at the end of the fight and he still had a foot in. Yet, when he was declined one type of work, another fell into his lap. Not that it mattered; it was much more interesting than taking a nap. He leaned back forward into a sitting position. "Well then. What have we to discuss?"

Puer watched on in silence. He wasn't... pleased that Tolin was being kept awake. But it was better to the alternative, and unlike with teleport there was no method to prevent him from speaking.

Orion

The Espeon sat on the very edge of the be so the tips of his paws could hang off the side.
"I will be brief, as you need the rest..." Orion paused, glanced back and narrowed his eyes knowingly.
"The plate will not work on me. In this moment of lucidity I can assure that. It is BECAUSE of my connection with Arceus that I will never have access to my memories or thoughts again, but due to the upset of the balance his power has waned and I am given longer moments to think. Before it passes I must tell someone. You've heard of Semi-legendaries have you not? The lower class of legendaries that exist by pure mistake..."
