Nathan wagged a finger at him. "Sweetie, we're eating at the table. Maybe later we can lose the apron - but we need standards, right?"
The Angel grabbed a fork, speared some vegetables and offered it to his Demon whilst hovering over Mao's lap. "You eat and I sit...?"

"Yeah alright,"Mao replied as he somewhat reluctantly opened his mouth; ready to receive the hated food.

Nathan delivered the fork to Mao's mouth, gently seating himself on Mao's lap as he did so. "Make sure you chew and swallow, ok? I promise to kiss you if it really tastes bad - maybe it'll taste better that way?"

Mao wasn't all that fond of the taste but he did his best in order to make Nathan happy. After a few more bites, he had enough. "Okay, I tried and ate and did not like at all."

Nathan smiled gently and kissed Mao with both his lips and his tongue. Then he pulled back to nuzzle Mao's neck. "Tastebuds feel better?"

"Much better," Mao replied with a smile and then began to eat the rest of the food. "Not as bad as I thought but I still don't like those things though."

Nathan nodded. "We'll keep trying... and I didn't even have to properly encourage you yet..." he whispered, pecking his Demon's lips before taking a bite of ribs.

Nathan blinked at him. "I'll try anything just between us two, but... in general I'll still just try to help people - you try and stop me doing that and I won't be able to stop doing it..." he frowned and took another bite. "Did that make sense...?"

"A little," Mao replied with a smile an finished his food. "I'm gonna go outside and smoke while you finish eating." He then moved so that he could leave the seat empty for Nathan and when outside to smoke.

Picking up his plate, Nathan followed him and leant against his side as he continued to eat. "I want to eat with you, so...here I am." He murmured, nuzzling into Mao's shoulder before putting more food into his mouth.

Mao sighed and put out the cigarette. "You can't possibly eat comfortably inhaling all this smoke. Let's go back inside."

Nathan sighed, then put his plate on the floor. Grabbing Mao, he kissed him whilst his hands felt around the Demon's pockets for his cigarettes and lighter.
