((Now hold on. How can you tell what's going on behind you? You have no eyes in the back of your head; all you would have heard was an explosion-like sound. And, as far as I can tell, we're quite close to the ball of ice, and any sort of outside force would come far too late. Keep in mind I only read up to that in your quite lengthy post.
And no, I did not forget about the walls of water.))

((As I stated; the walls of water enclose us into what is a small arena in comparison to the main one, but plenty spacious compared to us. Thus the walls would be wide spread. Secondly, he has to control his water doppelgangers somehow, so logically he would be able to at the least send thoughts back and fourth with them, if nothing more. He positioned one of them at either side of the giant block of ice. What's more he can manipulate H2O, and you just caused a lot of it too move. In anycase, the ice block was purposefully placed outside the walls of water he inclosed us with using three of his six towers. Which now leaves three unused. As he can manipulate the water in complex manners without requiring sight of it, just a sort of supernatural sixth sense for where it is and what it's condition and flow are like, it would be easy for him to feel the disconnection and motion of the ice blocks, as well as catch them in the wall. It was an intelligent menuever, just there were other factors about that made it inneffective.))

((EDIT)) ((Okay, here we go. First and foremost, if you're going to have an affinity with your water, it would be good to know it beforehand. This is what profiles are for, when you put your major abilities down. Yet you have chosen not to do this, so I feel that sometimes things are kind of pulled out of nowhere and just pasted to your character. Secondly, I would think an exploding ball of ice surrounded by walls would act like a firework in a closed fist, as in kaboom! It would at least do some damage into the innards of the ice and dopplegangers, I would think. Furthermore, does your guy never run out of chakra? You're doing some big moves, and you're pretty wounded, considering how much blood you're describing and how much you stress said wound. I've seen and read plenty enough Naruto to feel knowledged about chakra, and I feel you're defying certain little rules. When you deal with me, you can deal with a very a**l RPer. Normally I keep it hidden, but when things start to pile onto each other, this happens. It's nothing against you as a person, it's just what I feel proper RP etiquette involves. Now, in your post... Psychofish Cheater. Not that it matters, attacking me with my own ice, but that means the scythe will me close behind, so... As the ice flew into the walls of water, he had them hold the ice firmly to the center, where they were melting quickly, and brought the water from the walls shooting in to surround him, and down him to cover the opponent he had physichal contact with, holding him inside the water, covering him from head to foot. Rivven was betting he didn't have the ability to somehow breathe water as he did, but he wouldn't want to wait for that to do the job either. As the water quickly piled into a second giant sphere around the both of them, his doppelgangers each shot out an arm, snapping as like the tendrils of water did, which would make sense since they were made of water, and he could thus manipulate them, hands clasping onto the scythes handle and restraining it for as long as they could, which would undoubtably be a while if they didn't die. Back where Rivven himself was, he knew his opponent wouldn't be able to get out of his controlled sphere by any traditional means unless he allowed it, the water would hold him where Rivven wanted him, and if he managed to fight away from that without anything to push off against, as the water was lifting them both off the ground as it piled around them, the membrane would stretch out rather far with him to hold Chauffeur inside. While inside, Rivven held the complete advantage, utter control of his own movement, and a strong influence on the other man's. With the man bracing himself firmly still, Rivven had no trouble spinning about, floating abit off the ground in the water, so Charles' back faced the scythe which would no doubt be coming soon, and grabbed the man's hair to pull his head up and stretch his torso out straight, proper for Rivven's attack. He slammed his palm once into the man's soloplex, and immediatly a second time, holding the water like concrete around him so it wouldn't absorb any of the vibrations as it normally might have. I'm ending it there. You're starting to get greedy in your amount of movement choices. I'm even giving you some leeway here. Again, sorry, but it's how I've been taught by many seasoned Gaia RPers, and I felt it was time to get my foot in the door. Nothing against you, remember that. I'm a friendly guy, really ^_^))

((That's true, I did let myself get sloppy when I wrote the profile, I laid down the basics instead of going into detail. As he uses chakra and roughly ninjutsu, I should remove the bit about his healing and heat and really described his affinity for water more. I have a plot reason as to why he controls water with barely any expense of chakra, as well as his other parts of his affinity for water, but as he doesn't know any of these I thought it best to wait to add them until he remembers/finds out. As to Rivven's huge chakra, there is first of all the fact that he is not only into rigourous training in order to increase his physichal state as well as his chakra use (Three days in the woods just recently building ice with his chakra and smashing it away with his hands, pretty much non-stop, but then he was rather tired.) but he is a construct, which I put some things in the racial listings about. It's someone who's revived through magical bonding shortly after their death. It makes them significantly more powerful, but they have to obey the one who bonded to them, until one of their deaths or being setting free, and then their okay until someone has them in a position where their unable to defend themself for a long period of time (Drugged to sleep, beaten unconcious, other things like that...) or they willingly accept a second bonding, at which point they can undergo the bonding again again with the new individual, and are then forced to serve them. Lastly to the chakra, I thought I'd have gotten rather far into my story by the time I had a match and wouldn't need to explain it before it is known, but the reason the clan Rivven was enslaved to is still after him, willing to waste other constructs for a chance to bond him again, is that he is sealed with a demon/spirit/minor diety, since I keep toying with each idea up to this point, of water, whom they beleive would be of incredible use if they managed to free it while it was bound to one of them. Thus extra chakra, his several affinities for water, and the later I progress into the story the more often he is tried to be killed and brought back, fights for sanity against the sealed entity, and at times completely loses control to it, which I was going to have lead to a point where he was very cautious in the use of his powers, meaning avoiding the ones that would drain him to the point where it might take over. I admit this is likely a bit much, now that I put it all down in one place. It seems I have made a collection of errors. I have read Naruto up to the end of manga 13, personally.
Secondly, we're surrounded by the walls of water, not the ball of ice, that is outside our miniature arena, with the other toweres inactive. I should have had the doppelgangers destroyed by it, that was my error, though I wonder how it is you seem to have some sort of a psycic conection with the scythe...
First of all, I would not have used autohits, I consider that bad rp-ing though I have never participated in combat except with my own npc's before, so I'm not all that knowledgable, except that you used them first. The other things I did badly, most of which I did partly because I was in a horrible mood when I typed it, bad day, and partly because you seemed to be declining yourself in terms of how you rp-ed the fight. Now, if I do anything wrong in the future I am open, and willing to take into consideration any and all peices of advice, especially aiming towards Chaos, who I agree with on how we should discontinue this, and yourself as long as you'll be reading this. I am not an experienced roleplayer, I don't know how I seem, but I began roleplaying mid December 2004, trying to figure out how Gaia worked, and using emoticons to show my character's emotions much of the time. I think I've come a long way, but as I've noted above, I'm inexperienced, and am receiving no guidance from experienced roleplayers. Both of yourselves seem very intelligent, so I would appreciate any help you can offer.
Also, please note that first of all, you stated that your character was going to sit and take the upcoming beating, and secondly, I didn't say all of my attacks connected, or even how far he went with them. I believe with your character wide open, and caught immediatly in my water, the strikes to the torso and the ankles would be acceptable, but I never said he actually hit any pressure points or blood vessels, only that he was trying to.
In anycase, do what you will, I want to return to IC rp-ing. I appreciate all of your help Chaos, and any further offered by either of you. Degobah, please post IC, or pm me if you must further discuss this. As to my error with the doppelgangers, please ignore them, and let us say the ice destroyed them.))

((As far as what I've seen in the fight, Rivven is not in the wrong. Granted he isn't in the right and needs to alter some things such as his profile. In which it can be said that he isn't aware of certain things. Also, Naruto, though a good source of what chakra is, isn't a real place to reference yourself to when examining it. Here are some good sites to read up on Chakra and what it is, where it is, and such. Chakra MeditationLearning about ChakrasChakra QuizSacred Centers:ChakraSome techniques and how they are accomplishedAnd the definition is Energy centers within our bodies that are the openings for life energy to flow into and out of our aura. Their function is to vitalize the physical body, to bring about the development of our self-consciousness, and are associated with our physical, mental and emotional interactions. You may know all this, then again, your knowledge may be limited to just Naruto. Please, don't let that happen, think of the kittens, and the bunnies. Also, if you feel the need to discuss such occurances, take it to pm's, or to im's. If you need a second opinion, and or voice, find someone you know is experience, and/or/preferably a judge, to tell you what they know, and what they think about it. When you delve into an area, such as iaijutsu, you must know what it is about. That it isn't about just attacking with one slice. The spiritual mindset, and inner workings create a much more, intricate and deadly fighting style. There are multiple techniques and a person is trained in multiple fighting ways, but not just how to kill with one strike, though that is the goal of course. The amount of a persons' chakra, depends entirely on the person. It is possible to use large amounts of chakra, and stay standing, and even fight. Thank you for your time, this was a broadcast by your friendly neighborhood player of Jagan no Otoko. Have a nice day. ^_^ ))

((Back to IC fighting it is. I only started this in order for a judge to see the arguments on both sides. Now we're done, and I'm thinking about the widdle kitties ^_^
Oh crap, what was going on again? xd ))
Charles hurt like hell now, and he was running out of time. His opponent had been displaying powers that the Chauffeur had underestimated. On top of that, he couldn't get his scythe back in his current state. Times like these I wish I could just will my scythe back to my hands... he thought before quickly assessing the current state of affairs.
The only air he had was what was left after the two massive blows, and it wasn't going to last much longer. Well.... heh, guess I can't be to honoring. Then again, I'm not a professionally trained fighter; what do I know about honor?
He checked to make sure he could move through the water by making his left leg appear to be relaxed when he was actually seeing if he could move. He could. Next it was time to play dead, his head rolling back and his arms going limp. As they floated backwards shots of pain ran through his body. Damn, a bit more injured than I thought.
His arms had floated far enough back, far enough for him to reach in the back folds of his coat, grab his two Glocks, and aim them at Rivven. Not even taking the time to say, "Waterproof," Charles fired two bullets, one from each gun.

Rivven had been startled. Just about to release the water and make sure his opponent was still healthy, even help him to the doctor if need be, he pulled the guns. Flexing his control over the water, he lowered himself and lifted his opponent upward, leaning back as he did so, saving himself a great deal of pain. However, while the bullets weren't as fatal as the would have been, one caught his shoulder, near the surface, but more than a skimming wound or a nick. Spinning around and behind his opponent, he clasped one hand the the shoulder, blood coming out both sides of the wound in thin tendrils of crimson, he brought his body into a full spin, bringing a powerful kick ontoward Chauffuers right shoulder, the other leg was coming over the top to catch the left, hopefully enough to make him drop the guns. Meanwhile, Rivven's free hand shot through the jutsu signs. He was always weary, and cautious of his vitality as his method was generally to let the other man take the first move, and respond before he could do anything, so naturally when water was his defense, he was wary of electrical magic. He always kept the water immediatly around his body within a roughly ten inch radius free of particles of dirt, thusly elimenating it's value to enemies as a conducter, and truthfully, grounding Rivven nearly entirely. The rest of his water however, he didn't need to do so with, and naturally, one's greatest enemy was sometimes their greatest ally. As he finished the signs, the water by his hand didn't seem to react at all, but he could tell by the tingling in his arm it was working. As soon as he finished the follow through of each kick, he would pull himself away from Chauffeur with his water, and thrust his arm into the rest of the water body, pulling the clean water away from it momentarily, and putting a strong current through the sphere of liquid. This might work. If his guns are still functional, I need to be careful, but I should be alright if I don't bleed to much more. The old wound has slowed down to a near stop... and the new one isn't nearly serious enough, but if this guy really cuts me up or reopens the deeper one again, I'm not going to kid myself. I could quite easily get light headed and pass out, and fairly soon too. This needs to end in a few minutes, though I doubt it's much different for him.

Charles's lungs were hating him so very much right now; he had little oxygen to work with and he was doing so much strenuous work. The next move had to work or it would be the end, and he really hated losing to mother nature.
As Rivven spun around and behind the Chauffeur, he had a bad feeling as what was about to happen. After firing one more bullet from the gun in his left hand behind him, aiming for the general area behind him, he let go of his grip on the Glock and readied himself for whatever would be coming his way. When he felt the foot in his left hand he grasped a tight hold upon it, a massive shot of pain flying through his right shoulder. It caused his right hand to spasm, releasing his grip on the glock.
Fortunately, because he was in water, the gun didn't get very far and was not out of reach. Charles quickly regrasped the gun while holding firm to Rivven's leg, pulling himself towards his opponent while pulling his opponent towards himself, his gun trained on the very big target of vital organs. The Chauffeur looked at his opponent with very serious eyes, eyes he hoped Rivven could read. Eyes that said, "I will pull this trigger, please stop this match now. Concede." It was a lot to read from someone's eyes, but there'd be no way for Rivven to avoid a bullet at such a close range.

Chaos Sakura ((As far as what I've seen in the fight, Rivven is not in the wrong. Granted he isn't in the right and needs to alter some things such as his profile. In which it can be said that he isn't aware of certain things. Also, Naruto, though a good source of what chakra is, isn't a real place to reference yourself to when examining it.)) (( The exception to that is, if he's trying to play the game 'Naruto-style'. There are really two ways a person can go about doing their RPing... They can do it by having their character and the powers that their charater uses influenced by some way of thinking/way of doing... Such as taking a concept from a show/movie/game and implimenting it into their character as a fudamental concept, but building on that a bit to make it more 'real' as opposed to a straight anime rip or whatever... And the other way would be by doing the straight rip. Adopting everything about said show/game/movie or whatever. If he's doing a partial rip, then, yes, he should put a little more thought in, and maybe learn a little bit about the idea of chakra outside of what is shown in Naruto. If he's doing a straight rip, though, all he really needs to do is watch a lot of the show, then, and conhere to the rules put down within it for how his character would react to things like being hit and fatigue and all that. - As for how you've described the character, Rivven, I can only think to say: "So you're Gaara of the Water?" While this is sound in theory and all of that, it doesn't work quite as well for multiplayer gaming (ie: RPing)... In the show, Gaara was a character that was supposedly 'strong like a monster'. He was by far an exception from the rule of how things worked... Now, I know that you wanted to make a character that is strong and all that, but, honestly, in all your time RPing on Gaia here, how many times have you seen a fighter character that HASN'T been an 'exception to the rule'. It seems like obscenely powerful has become the new norm for these 13-15 year old kids who want to relive DBZ or whatever it is they're watching. They want to be special, and they want to be the best, and they have decided that they will be 'the best' by ordaining that they are. "I'm strong! Stronger than you! Stronger than everyone! It's in the bio!" Doesn't really go to show that they earned any of it, does it? What right do they really have to simply say that they have a more powerful, or a better, character? Well... basically the right that anyone can make any character they want, really... you just don't have to play with the ones who've decided that this isn't going to be a multiplayer game, it's going to be a single player with everyone else being a side bit to themselves. A bit frustrating, no? razz Anyways, the point I'm sort of getting at is, in a game like this, it can't really be the same as you'd expect it from some anime or whatever. Unless you win someone's OOC respect, hardly ever will they 'allow you' to have a character that's head and shoulders stronger than theirs, yet still RP with you. If everyone is an exception to the rule, than the only exceptions are the ones who aren't, correct? If the world is full of people who claim that they have these obscene powers, then you can only assume that the new norm is that people have obscene powers, and that unless someone can prove to you (normally by being a generally nice person OOC, rather than some kid that continually shouts "I'm strong!") that theirs truly is special, then you can more or less assume that all characters are on something resembling equal ground in flat out terms of power/stamina/whatever you want to call it. With, of course, the exceptions being the ones who were made to be 'normal', rather than 'Gaia normal'. *Points to his clumsy little girl as an example of that, who fell over backwards and didn't get up after the first hit in her last fight.* I mean, whenever you hang out with a group of RPers, sometimes you notice that one of them is generally held by the rest of the group as the 'strongest'... A bit because they're well known, a bit because they're a good RPer, and a bit because they're a all around fun person to play with, so people give them some respect. 3nodding *Coughs* Back on topic, anyways... As for the 'training' that is so common for everyone to seem to do... It's a funny thought that a person can train their entire lives and reach a certain measure of 'power', yet if there is a strong fight coming up, they can apparently tripple the amount of power they have gained through their entire lives in just a week or so of training. Absurd thought, no? ))

I was simply stating that Naruto isn't the most reliable source for how Chakra works, nor how it can be focused. I was providing the real life way it's used and where it is held and why people acknowledge it...all that nice stuff ^_^ Anyways, back to IC posting please. Keep OOC to the OOC thread whenever necessary. Good points though despite that ^_^ Now...I go to post in the ocean))

A hold on his leg and a gun pointed at his torso. Rivven's immediate reaction was to put a hand over the barrel of the gun, not that it could stop the bullet, but perhaps turn it away. But his opponent wasn't immediatly firing, he was waiting. Calmly, Rivven took his time to assess the situation. He looked first to his hand over the gun's barrel, then to his opponents face, skyward, to the gun again, upaward, and once again to his opponents face. There are several ways I could still end this... he's in the middle of my water... but any of them would kill him, and quite a few would let him pull that trigger. Killing is not worth it, even if he has no similair resolutions, I promised myself I would only kill in self defense. This is a match for fun. I can't kill him... so I suppose there's only one thing left to do... I wonder what he'll think of it. Rivven smiled, a small smile, partly friendly and in part a last show of his enjoyment of the match. It had certainly taken more out of him than he expected. He would have to spar with the other members some time, and perhaps this man again. The water began to drain slowly away from them, falling from a sphere down to settle over the ground again. "Looks like check. This has been an enjoyable match, Mister Chauffeur. I hope your feelings are likewise." Though the water still around them probably swallowed the sounds, the lip movements were there.

Charles felt that water begin to drain away, and all he could think was OH SWEET MERCIFUL HEAVENS, THANK YOU!!. He watched Rivven's mouth, his voice getting muffled by the water. He thought he got the gist of it, something about good match and such. He gave Rivven a nod, his head breaking through the water when it returned to an upright position.
Quickly and instinctively he drew in a huge breath of air, so much that it made his lungs ache. But he didn't care, he could breathe again!
"I felt it to be a very honorable match, Mr. Rivven," the Chauffeur said, extending his right hand, fighting through the pain so he could shake the man's hand.

Rivven took Chauffeur's hand and shook it firmly, smiling friendily as he also ignored pain, his right arm the one with the bullet wound, the left one the charged hand. "I have also enjoyed this match greatly Mister Chauffeur. However..." He turned his hand flat like a blade, and swung for his other wrist to knock the gun away as he slid atop the water again off to Charles' left, then away atop the water as soon as the swing was finished, buying himself distance. With his left arm growing ever more numb and heavy feeling as he fought to keep the charge from wasting itself by crackling in the air, he knelt quickly atop the water, reaching out with the hand beyond the pure water he rested on to put his index and middle finger onto the surface of the more common liquid, the charage jumping immediatly off through the surface of the water, and down into it, filling the miniature stadium of water walls and flooring, which he had not touched when he dispersed the sphere, with flowing electricity, with exception of the grounded bit on which he stood. "...it isn't over yet, sir! I said check, not check mate, and I never conceded. It seems we can both play dead." He said, twisiting his right hand through the signs more slowly than it would have before due to his injury, tension filling his chest as he prepared one sort of attack he didn't think his opponent would suspect in the least from him. He could hold it a while until putting up the last sign, and then he would see how useful it turned out.

"Son of a b***h!" he said aloud as he scooped up his Glock and ran towards the wall of ice, behind which his scythe now rested. ((You said it yourself in your post: Psychofish With only a quick call, the towers set into motion, water shooting between them in thick streams, keeping in motion to create a tall wall, As he ran, he withdrew his second ZMG, unrelentlessly blasting away at his opponent with both guns. How the hell was I supposed to know he said check? I could barely understand him underwater! Once behind the wall he was out of sight from Rivven, which could have been a good or bad thing. He picked up his scythe and awaited what his opponent would do next.
