Tokeru lurched out of his world, as the elevator doors opened, only to be greeted by cheering shadow stalkers. He turned to edith and said. "Wrong floor." and closed the doors, and it was the wrong floor, they were headed to the garage before, and now wanted to go to the cafeteria.
The door opened, this time to an empty hallway, with the cafeteria completly empty also.
He grabbed her arm, and ran into the cafeteria, draggin her behind him.

Reno arrived infront of the Chapter house with his weapons in hand. He took a few breaths as if he was letting out his anger before he would go in. Right before he had arrived he had seen Will take off in a hurry. Taking out his phone he dialed Eden's number. He waited as it rang. No answer so he left a message."Eden.......it's Reno. Im outside of the Stalkerhouse. Let me in. Im here to pick up what stuff I brought here last time."

Edith certainly did notice Tokeru jump from one concious to the next, thinking deeply one minute then jumping out of it the next. "Apparently so," she commented, not really feeling self concious at all about what they'd done though she was not sure if the Shadow Stalkers thought that they were just making out or if they had gone all the way. Since she did not particularly care, she did not bother to probe them, it took her a lot of work still and it was much harder to probe people that she did not know, gave her bigger headaches.
When the door opened she half expected to see another group of cheering Shadow Stalkers but there was no one there, thankfully, otherwise she probably would have knocked a few over to get out. She smiled as Tokeru took her hand, running along behind him though she felt more like skipping since that would make this little scene that much more old school.
Her phone was ringing, but she decided that the person could leave a message, that she would phone them back if needed. The phone was set to play her messages automatically so she did not have much of a problem leaving it ring. However, when she heard Reno's voice she was a little unprepared to hear it again so soon. "You're the bossman," she said to Tokeru, "you decide whether he's in or out, whether I bring his s**t to him or he comes in and gets it."

Tokeru shook his head. It was a dilemma, should he allow reno to come into the base? His answer to that was no. Neither did he want Edith talking to him, not because he was jealous, but because he was afraid reno would take her as a hostage, to draw him out. He wasn't afraid of fighting him, but the hunters did not need a dead hunter like reno. Reno was capable, and should stay alive.
"Well lets see, he has maybe 2 days worth of clothes, and that's it. He wasn't here for long so he can't have that much stuff. I'm just gonna have someone ship it over to the NYHG haven. It should be fine like that, besides, we have a supper date don't we?"

The vampiress could more than understand why Tokeru would not want to allow Reno into the base though his reason for her not taking his stuff to him was not one she had predicted. She was a vampire, Reno was a human, therefore she was physically stronger than him by what, ten fold since she had worked out as a human and had likely been stronger than him then as well. Edith was not a petite chick and she was one hell of a tough fighter. That and she did not believe that Reno would take her as a hostage, it never crossed her mind.
"That's probably true. I'll phone him and let him know that you're gonna mail it to haven. As for the supper date, it'll be a short but sweet one since I'm starving and devour things eerily fast when I'm hungry and I want to get going, we've wasted a lot of time."

Tokeru snickered at the thought of his beloved devouring a full meal withing the span of a few seconds, though he tried to contain his laughter, with mild success.
"Thanks, i'm also kinda hungry. How hungry you ask? Hungry enough to ride a horse."
He paused, thinking for a few seconds. "I don't get it. Well, i guess i could ride it to the store. Maybe buy some food there and ride back, but thats about it. I don't even know how to ride a horse, so maybe thats the joke."

Edith did not know yet how to control whether she read Tokeru's mind or not, so sometimes, even if she was not trying to, she would read his mind. Right now happened to be one of those times and she received his mental image of her shoving her face, finishing her meal within seconds. "Ugh," she said, knowing that she had read his mind by accident, "that's nasty. How can you picture that without feeling nauseous?"
"Tokeru," she decided to correct, since jokes were meant to be said correctly or not said at all in her opinion, "it's you're so hungry you could eat a horse, not ride it. If you were starving you would not take the time to ride the horse to a store, you'd shoot, or just start gnawing at the horse if you were starving." She laughed heartily at his mistake.

Tokeru smiled sheepishly.
"So thats why i never got it. Maybe you should correct all the jokes i don't know, or do know, but can't get em right. That way, i won't look like a complete idiot when i say them"
Tokeru smiled, and walked into the cafeteria with Edith on his arm, he sat down at a table, and waited for her to sit down also.

The young vampiress immediately smacked a hand to her forehead, not hard since she had learnt from the past, but loud enough so that a smack was heard.
"Yeah," she answered with a smile and a giggle, "that's why you never got it, Angel. Glad I could clarify that for you and that you finally see the true meaning of Christmas. Maybe I should, but you know what they say, ignorance is bliss. With me, I only agree with that statement sometimes because I'm so damned nosey, but yeah."
As she walked arm in arm with Tokeru and he sat himself down, she gently kissed his arm and flashed his a warm yet discreet smile and went to seat herself. She sat across from him as opposed to having a corner between them. For whatever reason, she was really hungry, yet she had never thought that vampires got hungry since they didn't eat.

Tokeru smiled at her, and called over a waitress, and as luck would have it, it was one of the female shadow stalkers from before, from the elevator.
Tokeru didn't even recognize her face, or that he had seen her before, but he knew something was amiss when she didn't stop flicking her eyes between the both of them. Being ignorant as usual, he just asked for two menus.

Edith, was not as ignorant as Tokeru was, and she, of course, remembered the waitress and easily placed her as one of the Shadow Stalkers that had been outside of the elevator. However, Edith was completely unabashed, after everything she had been through as a kid, she was pretty damned hard to embarass, that, and when she was she could at least laugh at herself. She did not take very many things too literally. In fact, most things she didn't, with the exception of her profession which she was not even sure if she professed at or not.
"Hello," Edith said plainly, casually, as if nothing had happened, as if this woman had not seen her and Tokeru in the elevator. "Would you mind getting me some water? I'm really thirsy..." She actually wanted blood, but she did not want to freak her out even more and she did not feel comfortable asking people for blood.

Tokeru smiled at his beloved. "You know" he said as the woman walked away to get the water. "We do have some vampiric hunters here, so it's perfectly fine for you to order some blood. I mean, it's not like everyone hasn't seen their share of wierd crap. So, go ahead and order some if you want."
Tokeru perused the menu, wanting to order another steak, but stopping himself as he had gotten one just a few hours ago, he did however, want spaghetti and meatballs, or just meatballs and rice. yeah, that sounded good.

Though she had figured this was likely that she was able to order blood and she knew that they had vampiric Stalkers, she still did not feel comfortable ordering it. It was weird s**t and it disturbed her. Not when others drank blood, just her. And to think that as a kid, she had lapped up the blood from her wounds like some hound dog that had just sniffed out a dead bird that was bleeding freshly still.
"I know," she said with a slightly uncomfortable smile, "but I still don't think that I feel comfortable going around and asking people for blood. It's one thing when someone I know does it, an entirely different thing when I do it. It's just... really whacked s**t. I mean, I'm whacked, but... never mind. I think I'm going to order two chicken ranch burgers, a milkshake, salad, and french fries. Can't have burgers without french fries, it just ain't right." She smiled at her preferrence, in her mind, it was not preferrence, but law.

Tokeru laughed out loud. "Well, I can see you're not one of those dieting girls." he said jokingly.
"I'm probably gonna have a platter of meatballs and rice, meatballs like my dad used to make when I was a kid." Tokeru's eyes grew sad, and he looked at the table. "Before they were killed, and I lost everyone I loved."
Tokeru shook his head, and smiled. "Enough about that, it's in the past and I've dealt with it, what happened has happened."

"Of course," she said, feigning outrage, "I'm not one of those dieting girls! I can't believe you would have thought that for a second! How do you think I grew up this tall and this ... proportioned?! Huh? You think people who don't eat grow up to be my size? I don't think so!" She smiled, letting him know that she had been teasing him.
"Hey," Edith said, deciding to open with humor but end in seriousness, reaching out to his hand from across the table, "don't make me come over there. You know, it's okay to think about your family. I mean, just because they're dead does not mean you should not think about them. Just think, if you never think about them you'll eventually forget all of your memories with and about them, then you'd be even more sad. Remember the happy s**t and the s**t where you learned something. Don't mourn their passing, don't deal with it, accept it and remember them."
