Looking around Marie said, "Yes it seems that instead of talking when we couldn't hear it they're saying it now out in the open. Hmph, This reminds me of when I was a child and I would hear others talking in the halls." Marie smiled. "So where are the messangers?"

Thinking Marie said, "Well I don't remember too much but they'd always gossip about others on the lower staff and that my mother was pregnant again. That rumor was going around for quite a while and she never was." Marie smiled as she thought of her happier days as a child. She squeezed Vlad's hand and smiled at him.

Vlad squeezes back, "How is your old lady? She hasn't contacted you in a while has she?"

Sighing, "No mother hasn't. I assume it's because she knows the creatures are here and are attacking. If they found out that we were still in contact like this and she was helping me, they would track her down." Laughing to herself as if to help ease the tension Marie added, "I've actually had to save her a few times, because they found out." Marie kept looking straight ahead as her eyes started to water.

Vlad takes his free hand and rubs Marie's cheek, "Don't worry. It will all be ok." We enter the room, several people are standing there. Their clothing obviously foreign.

Holding Vlad's other hand that brushed against her cheek Marie said, "Thank you." Marie entered the room with Vlad as they held hands and saw the foriegn men. "So gentlemen do you ahve anything to report?" Marie asked.

The closet looks at Marie, confused and startled, "Yes, but who are you to ask us miss?" He turns to Vlad and hands him sheets of paper, "These are our responses to your request."
Vlad takes them, "This is Marie, she's with me and an ally against the enemy. Please stay as our guests while I review your letters."

Feeliong a bit pissed at what the man said to her Marie was careful not to show it. "Thank you gentlemen." Marie walked outside the room with Vlad. "Wow I forgot men were like that. Well not you." She smiled. "So what does the report say?"

Vlad smiles, "Thank you. But an unknown person asking about private information. You can see how someone might not respond favorably." He walks into a nearby room and begins reading them, "Hmm, about what I expected really."

Vlad leans back, "A few denials of course. But most are willing to assist in exchange for certain concessions."

Sighing in relief, "Good at least most of them are willing to help." Because Vlad brought up her mother Marie hasn't stopped thinking about her, "I wonder how mother is now, if she's asleep or awake, if she's happy or not, or even if she has someone to help her? I miss you mother." Marie stared out a window as she held onto a necklace she was wearing.

"Yes. Better than I expected." Vlad feels a sudden urge to lighten the mood. He leans over and pokes Marie's hip while she's daydreaming.
