As Edward walked into his office Vecente appeared to the side of his desk. He was tall, about six foot seven, with a very gaunt and worn face. He had slicked back black hair, white sharp teeth, and a regal way about him that was augmented by his luxurious clothing which was pitch black with royal blue undertones and trim that almost looked black. Vicente bowed and spoke in his deep transylvanian voice."Good evening Edward, I am here as we had arranged."

Edward moved quickly to his office bringing his wife along side him. Once inside He set her down in a chair in the corner of the room. "Just relax here honey." he smiled and sat down behind his desk and started doing paper work.

Edward jumped up from his chair startled from not hearing Vecente walk in. "Jesus..." Edward said trying to steady his breathing. "You startled me. Anyways, glad you could make it." He offered a hand to Vecente.

Vicente shook Edwards hand and nodded his head."I like to think that one enemy can unify an entire nation to fight side by side to get rid of it. Alas our enemy seems to be more powerful then we had first thought and we are paying dearly for it. Although we did not want to interfere with the Black Cross, loosing our top assassin has caused chaos within the clan and I am sorry to say that our regents have all fled or killed each other which makes Sergei the second most powerful vampire here. I will help where I can how ever, what is your opinion on the situation?"Vicente seemed to glow with an odd trust which had to do with his ability to manipulate emotions and seem genial.

"That is most unfortunate news. My regards on your losses." Edward took a seat and offered a chair to Vicente. "As it stands war is eminent, and Sergei is a loose cannon. We the Red Cross are ready to defend against the Black Cross, though personally I feel it is going to be a futile effort as long as Sergei lives." Edward had a flash back to this afternoon with the head incident. "That 'thing' must be stopped. I would like to make an alliance with your clan to put a stop to that menace." ((sorry it took so long I have a very annoying person on an IM))

Vicente bowed his head in thanks and sat down. He spoke in a fair tone and rather liked how easily they had come together."I believe that we are giving Sergei too much credit. He is but a pawn for now but he has his own agenda. But I am for an alliance and I believe we could prove useful to each other. You would keep hunters from killing us while we would supply any of your vampires with a home and resting place away from the sun, we also take it cruisniks, far be it from me to exile our long lost brethren. Oh and I would like to mention that we are now taking convicts and killers for feeding purposes, no innocents like in the older times."Vicente thought this would go over well and waited for a response.

Edward listened intently. "The order will be given to stop any and all attacks on vampires unless they are affiliated with the Black Cross." Edward pondered the rest. "Weather or not they will go, I will inform my Vampire brethren of your offer. I have a feeling that all will go well. And as for how you feed, that is fine. Take the criminals we have locked up here, just as long as there is no hunting on innocents I care not on what you dine."

((How would you be smiling at Edward and speaking with him, he went inside of his office and is in a meeting... Not to burst your bubble or anything just a bit of an oddity, I mean it would make sense if you walked in the office but you didn't say that in your post... You know what never mind I'm just overanalyzing the situation...))

Vicente was delighted and stood, smiling."Then we are agreed, very good. Also mention that I will offer any placement in the ranks for those who are strong but I reserve the higher ranks for those who have proven themselves worth of being given such power that is passed down through the years. I myself would not have the power I do today were it not for the ancient before me who grew tired of this world and became a spirit by willing his power to me has been done throughout all of eternity of vampire kind. I will be at my mansion should you or any of your friends need me. We will be watching to make sure your child is kept safe, I couldn't help but listening to your conversation with your wife using the bats earlier, for that I am sorry. May you live longer then most humans Edward."Vicente bowed and his great black bat wings enclosed upon him and he vanished warping back to his mansion.

Edward smiled. "Now we have a Vampire clan to help along with Rin's wolves." Edward moved to his wife. "Honey, things are looking up." He knelt down beside her, "Are you feeling well my love?" he asked concerned but not worried.
