My God those people on the Ed board makes me laugh. I used info from my MEDICAL dictionary, that says a fetus is basically an un born off-spring or baby and then they say i'm wrong and that their dictionary from online that's not a medical one says something different yet when I read it, it said the same thing.

lymelady http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=1753331 Seems they're mad that we actually care about Keeran. Wow. First of all, if abortion's nothing to be ashamed of, how can we shame anyone into anything? Secondly... What the heck? "They think a fetus is a person. They make a memorial to someone they feel is a person who was aborted. They make no mention of the mother. This must be an attack on the mother!!!" That's the reasoning I see. (Sorry I'm necroing a bit) "This is exactly how it should be. Choice being supported, not matter what that choice is. icon_3nodding.gif " WTF? So, they are supporting her choice no matter what choice she made... But wait, she chose abortion. So how is supporting her supporting all choices?

Haha, seriouslly they said that my dictionary was wrong, had no scientific facts and was a Christian one, yet it was a medical and webster dictionary that said the same thing, word or word. and they even wrote what it said after I wrote what mine said. And to them i'm stupid, wrong, evil, pro-punsishment, black mailer, hearts, and a brat....all in one day. Amazing. edit- since obviously they didn't know what a fetus is thing that it's just cells and DNA or what a human is, a put a picture of one so they can learn.

But when I showed to them that I no longer believed every damn thing they tried to throw at me, they, well, acted strangely. O.o But in a good way.Lorysa Temporary Ecstasy (A Pro-lifer! <3 Please invite her?) Name Censored (A different Person) Lorysa Name Censored APP's fetus was a fetus, not a baby you half-wit! I think I can help you though, *throws a biology book at your a** because she's sure that's where you head is* (Catches the biology book, throws it in the trash, and shoves a dictionary in your face)Diciontary.com A very young child; an infant. An unborn child; a fetus. The youngest member of a family or group. A very young animal. Now, do you argue that there are no fetii in abortion? =) By that definition, I am a baby. So that doesn't seem like a real good solid definition there. Of course it's a good definition. You may fit the category, but you can't deny that FETUS fits that category as well. Yes, you are a baby. I am the youngest of 7 kids; therefore, I am a baby. Also, it plainly said that fetus = baby, so, no, it's not a bad or wonky definition.

alot of people confuse Zygote and Fetus. The Zygote is the "lump of cells" the fetus is when those cells actualy resembles a human. I think the zygote stops being a Zy and starst being a fetus after 8 weeks of development.

On another note, Hooray! You've got clothes on! ;D

I think the zygote stops being a Zy and starst being a fetus after 8 weeks of development. *points to terminology thread* Once cleavage takes place, a zygote becomes a blastocyst. 8 weeks starts fetal stage, but until then, it is referred to as an embryo. An embryo differs from a fetus in that it doesn't have all its organs in the works, yet. A fetus has all of its organs and systems forming, though they aren't fully developed. The circulatory system, although primitive, is functioning by the end of week 3. It needs to be, otherwise the embryo would never get the nutrients it needs.

So I noticed yet a show them a picture of a fetus and give them the deffanition a they still call me stupid and that am wrong, yet I know what a fetus and lot of the obvious don't. They must think a dictionary much bite or something.
