Again with the scary thing. >< My mom blew up when she caught me reading fanfiction... Gaia takes so much time though! Typing+reading=forever. Okay, not exactly, but to actually get something in > 45 min. Which is a lot. I suppose.

That's not very comforting, I know, but still.

Ohoh! So, today we were learning about high school and college. Then, the counselor goes, "In college, once you reach a certain number of credits, you advance to the next year."
And then Xuebiii (who sits next to me in Biology) was like "That's JUST like in Haven!" It was sort of funny.
So how's everyone doing nowadays?

I don't know, but you're lucky being the oldest and all. My older brother is really smart/lucky whatnot and so my parents have EXTREMELY high standards for me because I have a higher IQ than him and all that. I mean he's the guy who got into Lakeside and got a 3.5 (which isn't too good) and then went to John Hopkins and had all As and 1 B it was like a 3.86 or something and the average GPA is 3.3 at Johns Hopkins or something and he took Sophomore classes in his Freshman year.
And I'm expected to live beyond that, too. @.@ That's why I'm not focusing on sports because that's where my brother excelled. That's why I'm directing more of my energy towards the arts: music, drawing, writing, debating, etc. Yes, I consider some of the humanities as arts, too!

KitaAmaya Yes, I consider some of the humanities as arts, too! Don't worry Kita, so do colleges and universities. Basically they just seperated everything into 2 catergories: science and art. Some odd topics like History got thrown into Art for I don't know what reason, but I know for a fact that my brother is studying History and the university calls it 'a art program'. What's so artistic about memorizing a bunch of dates xp ?!

I don't know... o.o I'm not good at history though. I ADORE writing. I mean, I could just sit and write if I wanted to, but I waste half my time doodling, too...Haha... What IS art though? 'Cause technically, if you just claim that art is an expression of your feelings, than ANYTHING is an art. Literally.

Oh really? Writing is evil...it eats my brains. Memorizing stuff is too, but at least you don't have to think XD Er, I suppose, but you have to be able to express your feelings through whatever you're using/doing. If you take a rock and go "this is art" and have no reason, it doesn't really count...Also, people have to appreciate it. I don't think many people would find an ordinary rock very artistic. You could, but definately not as 'artsy' as other stuff...

Hmm, it's a great question actually - art is different to people, depending on what they define art as. smile
Everyone having a great evening?

People who can't appreciate a rock is a rockhead. [Bad] pun intended! Remember Sophie's World? Philosophers are equipped with the "faculty of wonder", etc.
War is considered an art by most standards. Analyzing war and stratagems are fun and all, but...eh...not my thing.
OK, I'm going to go play the cello and Rebecca's still playing Jigsaw...Emily said that she would play now...o_O Oh, which should I choose? The scarf thing you got or the assassin?

NUP! I don't want to study... @.@ I want to sleep. I came home and I was ALMOST asleep and then Rebecca jumped into my room and literally jumped ON me. It was a bit painful...I should really get to playing cello now...
