THEYRE MUCH MORE THAN A RAP GROUP (thanks for posting their famous song) but the main thing that makes them good is that they use tons of insturments. Like in some of their songs the main insturment is the violin, others its trumpets, etc, and one even has A FIDDLE!!! Other than that, the rap is very political not the typical guns, sex, drugs. Alright this is sort of topic a little here but does anyone else here HATE the Beastie Boys like I do I mean it's one thing to just suck but the fact that they call themselves a rockband is just too much. Don't get me wrong the instrumental part of their band is fantastic but it is wasted on that garbage spewing out of their mouthes
But that just a personal opinion

I like a handful of the beastie boys - mainly thier original stuff and one or two from the last decade - but most is pretty under par
