Hebal giggled pulling Zadina into a hug "There there, he wouldn't be mean enough to convince your uncle to give you an arranged marriage. I think the whole moral he was getting at there was not to show off too much your royal privelages. But sure he likes archery silly cause he obviously has the magical abilities to develo further if he wished. I was referring to how you shouldn't change to a red mage" she explained swinging him around off the floor.
Seph rolled her eyes unimpressed "Stupid hippies, bet none of them stand up for horses and dragons being used for battle and anyone who stole a chocobo of mine would face a heavy beating. It's not like they are treated poorly or anything and some enjoy fighting just as much as we do" she argued while she attempted to clean her claws

Hayate chuckled surprised by Zadina's reaction "Hey calm down, I wasn't serious about arranging marriages for you although there are soe very pretty princesses looking for someone I bet. Kurgans more likely to get that hassle though, it's what usually happens with the head of the family" he reassured Zadina patting his bow "Sure I love my bow silly even if it is whats got me into trouble so much. Parents wanted me to use knives way back in Tesedor and then in Yithra everyone insisted I became a black made" he explained.
Satoshi smiled shrugging her shoulders "It probably doesn't help for him that the elves are so spread out around the world but maybe he's just so laid back because he's been ruling for centuries. Probably was king at the time the demons were fighting it out against everyone which was a massive war so probably has a good idea of what needs to be done" she pointed out poking Terrato's head until he eventually turned away from boredom "He's got good staff too from what I saw even if one of the generals I saw looked even younger than Zadina"
Alanu shook her head more optimistically "I dunno about that, the elves are good with magic so could probably get others up in good speed or would just put up lots of little ones up. Would it make you feel better if I said we had a load of soldiers on our way for reinforcements? Only we weren't exactly needed in the end" she informed her wondering to herself what this Alex person looked like.

Zadina scratching his ear in thought "Well are you any good with knifes? I bet Miss Satoshi and Oassu are super with their knives but how did you learn to use the bow?" he asked returning Hebal's hug.
Itaka chuckled "I dunno look at Chobi, how happy and free she is, I doubt Chocobo's are violent by nature unlike demons and humans and some other races, they might not enjoy it" he said shrugged "All the same I'm not bothered by them, people pay good money for my battle chocobo's they go out expected to get hurt which may mean they get put down. If they release one into the wild it's probably going to be pretty safe" he admitted "It's trained for combat and isn't being pitted against immense danger could probably do well in the wild unlike a household pet chocobo." he said.
Mari sighed "I suppose so still the little barriers wouldn't have survived I think more than a few white mages were lost under the pressure and if the ground forces had reached the temple then the barrier would probably have fallen" she said thinking about it.

Seph blushed feeling slightly guilty about what she had previously announced "I suppose your right really about that. I just really hate the idea of someone stealing stuff from you full stop. Plus I hate it when folk try to tell you they know things so much better than you but lets not get into that. I'm pretty sure if you have any other battle chocobos like Boco they will be very happy at the farm"
Hebal giggled finally releasing Zadina once she was satisfied she had spun him around enough without him getting too dizzy "Of course he is good with knives cause pretty much all red mages can use them and the odd short sword but Hayate likes to be different and break all the trends I bet" she told him looking at Hayate for confirmation.

Hayate shook his head feeling slightly self conscious by Hebal's staring at him "I dunno what I'm like with a knife. I used to be quite good with it being trained as a thief and all but I rarely need to use one so have never really tested out any skills I might have left. Not had any problems in more recent knife fights so far at least. It was my uncle who first taught me to use the bow as a way of entertaining me while all the older people when on a heist or something similar" he cheerfully added poking a glass sculpture of a chocobo.
Alanu rubbed her horns picturing the layout in the head "Well I am no stratergy expert but I? would split them into little groups or units and have them create lots of barriers in different locations. That way one jumbo dispel couldn't leave the whole city defenseless. Though you shouldn't be so negative, look at it this way; the Agralians were probably expecting an easy battle only to take a massive beating themselves"

Mari nodded "Ah but little barriers are weaker and easier to take down still I get the feeling Alex could have destroyed us if he wanted....." she said remembering how the city was raised in the air "I don't know if the Gria reinforcements got close enough to see but he had raised the elven city high into the air tearing it from the ground" she said.
Zadina giggled "Bet there's loads of thief games you can play still I bet the bow is fun enough for you still have you ever like won a super archery contest Mr Hayate?" he asked.
Gil nodded "I suppose so though I bet I'd have totally helped in the demon war, I've killed demons before you know?" he said happily "Zadina could probably be a little general himself one day being powerful and an elven noble if he wanted" he said
Itaka nodded "I keep one of my favourite battle chocobo's on the farm to protect them, she's a black one as well named Tzata really muscular but since it's just a farm and it's not like its being thrown into battle everyday no hippies come calling since she's treated well" he said

Seph smiled waving her hands at Chobi hoping it would encourage her to perform a trick "Oh really? Do black chocobos make the battle chocobos then? Or are golds just seen as too valuble to risk training them up for battle? You'll have to show me which one Tzata is some time and I'll also look after her for you to keep the hippies away" she chuckled.
Hebal raised her eyebrow but pulled her friends in for one last group hug regardless of the staff rolling their eyes at them "You need to practice using your knife more often as it may be useful for close range combat. Though what kinda games do thieves play that they are good at other than hide and seek or capture the flag"

Hayate shook his head brifly at Zadina then poked his eyepatch as he started to explain "I'm not allowed to enter any archery related tournaments for health and safety because apparently slightly blind people couldn't possibly fire an arrow without it hitting something else. Though thief games are exactly the same as normal games with one or two exceptions like digging and mass sandcastle building"
Satoshi laughed failing to form a realistic image of Zadina as a general leading a good portion of the elven army to battle "Somehow I doubt he will be a good general you know, seems too kind hearted and would get really upset upon losing people/failing whatever assignment was given. And no doubt you would be good at killing demons whether experienced or nor but that was long before your time unless theres something your not telling me"
Alanu shrugged somewhat in disbelief "So in that case why didn't he just destroy the place. Could have just raised it us and then slammed it back down again making everything smash on impact" she pointed out scratching her head with confusion "I still thin you should give yourselves more credit"

Zadina frowned "Hmmm shame I think you are still an awesome archer even with one eye" he said "Should ask Uncle Ellie to make exceptions for you since you guys are such pals" he said.
Gil smiled "Well I wouldn't want him to be geared for battle" he should be able to have a fun childhood" he said stroking Satoshi's tummy happily "but no I wasn't around back then" he chuckled.
Mari shrugged letting Sophia emit a small hiccup from the milk before letting her wander on the bed "Who knows he could easily have destroyed it the way you said but sure we did some good jobs, they summoned Shiva and me an my friends had to defeat her" she said proudly.
Itaka shook his head "No....not all battle chocobo's are black, they just tend to be more muscular than most and know choco flame which is useful. Chocobo knights normally act as a unit so Choco Meteor isn't practical and can result in friendly fire but choco flame is more effective than a line of rifles when used well and golden chocobo's are too rare to be used like that besides Chocobo Knights have always been viewed as a land based force" he shrugged "They are traditional like that" he explained.

Hebal groaned pulling an unimpressed face ashe she let everyone go one last time "Well they are just silly smelly people then. Should at least challenge them to an unofficial one just so you can show them that your even better despite the lack of an eye. Not to worry, we all know the truth plus everyone else gotta admit you have some skill to become a commander" she assured him with a thumbs up.
Seph nodded concentrating on tickling Chobi's neck while Itaka explained "Shame that since the ground is a thing of the past now, flight is totally the way to go as it feels so much better when going long distance" she stated as she shuffled closer towards him "I think I would risk the meteor in the face than have the chocoflame. Me and fire just don't tend to mix all that well"

Hayate grinned gently placing Hebal's hands down by her side "Right I'm going to go pay for these. But anyway, as we were saying I'm not overly fusssed about entering the archery tournament. It's more satisfying to see to people get beaten by myself in unofficial archery competitions anyway" he cheerfully replied slinging the boots over his shoulder to buy later.
Satoshi snickered leaning further back into Gil to relax "Nah, Zadina is fine as is; a cute little mage kid who is so smart that no doubt that one day he is going to be one of the best in the land of the elves. But you know, I still had a reasonably fun childhood despiste having to do ninja training constantly" she added slightly defensively before kissing his neck.
Alanu paused landing on the bed in thought "Maybe in that case... Yithra has something to hide or theres something of value that he wants his hands on at the very least. Sounds impressive that you can fight shiva and stay alive unless the environment was wrong for her? Summons tend to be stronger if in an environment they are suited to" she rambled on until producing a loud yawn from tiredness

Zadina giggled "Yeah cause your still a super Archer Mr Hayate" he said looking at the boots Hayate wanted "Have you seen anything you really like Miss Hebal?" he asked looking out the window to a special elven cuisine shop.
Gil smiled "I'm sure you did" he said stroking Satoshi's thigh happily "What sorta things did you do as a kid that were so fun, I'll bet you had all the boys chasing after you in your village" he chuckled.
Mari nodded "Well one of our number can summon Leviathan but we're still all really strong you know?" she said not wanting to give Satoshi all the credit "Besides Alpha is a fire demon so helped a good bit there" she said catching Sophia rolling off the bed "You can take a nap if you're tired" she said noticing the yawn.
Itaka chuckled "So you'd think but most races are still ground bound and chocobo meteors are coated in fire and explode y'know?" he said "At least as far as I know there's no Gold Chocobo units would cost a fortune to assemble them" he said.

Seph sighed patting Itaka on his back "I suppose a lot are but moogles aren't and they have the highest chocobo knight population. Shame you couldn't just sprout wings and try flying my way for once but Chobi makes things easier" she grinned poking him where wings would be if he had any "But a gold chocobo would certainly look like impressive if a knight had one"
Hebal nodded her head turning away from the displays and racks of goods "Sure theres lots of lovely things in here but they are all more than I could ever afford as I need to be sensible with the gil I have. They probably weren't really my style either" she added noticing some of the full length dresses with sleeves.

Hayate chuckled following Hebal's gaze to the dress in question "Thats just the traditional clothes, bet the more modern ones are more your thing though if theres something you like that much just grab it and I'll pay for it" he offered moving slightly away from the queue.
Satoshi shook her head "If you mean they ran at me with knives sure because that was ninja training. Boys just usually didn't bother with me or ignored me with the exception of my team which initially was me plus 3 guys. Though with the other girls I used to play games like dress up, ninja then hide and seek, which could last for days and other little things like that" she informed him ignoring Terrato's squeezing of her arm.
Alanu frowned and shook her head rapidly "no no no I can't take a nap while on duty or at least not while your not battling and Sophia is awake or else I will get in trouble. The fire demon could give Shiva a tough battle provided they can produce very hot fire but she should easily be able to beat another summon like Leviathan, could freeze him"

Zadina cheered "I'll chip in too Miss Hebal! It's the least I can do to pay for you carrying me everywhere while here" he giggled "I'm sure we can find you something you'll look super cool in!" he said happily.
Itaka chuckled "Maybe someday I will be able to for a bit" he said nuzzling Seph "Sure it would look impressive but Gold Chocobo's are delicate things I doubt many would appreciate being made to fight plus you run the risk of them damaging their wings and losing the ability to fly." he said sadly.
Gil sighed "I'm surprised at that thought you would have allsorts wanting to court a beautiful girl like yourself still when did Hitomi join the gang?" he asked letting Enkidu climb up and rest by their feet.
Mari shrugged "Ok ok if you insist but if your working the morning shift make sure and get plenty of sleep tonight wouldn't want you too tired to do your job properly but yeah Alpha is good with fire so we were ok" she said giving her a thumbs up.
