Yugi struggled to his feet. "Kawi, Atem said he was going to go after Khalid. I need to go make sure he's okay. Do you want to come, or would you like to stay with Ember?" The medics had begun to strap Ember onto a stretcher, to take her to the hospital.
"Atem-- I-I'm sorry, I didn't do anything..." Khalid said, wincing as Atem slammed him against the wall. He could have taken his own pain away, not felt it. He could have easily overpowered Atem. But he felt like he deserved to have the s**t beat out of him. He deserved it.
"You tied Yugi, Kawi, and Ember up. You did something to Ember! You almost hurt Kai!" Atem shouted, his eyes flashing dangerously. "Where's Ryou? Or did you kill him?"

"I..I want to stay with ember." Kawi then gave yugi a kiss "Please be carful."
Kai's screams were getting louder and louder the were they were shook shrill screams that hurt the ears.

Yugi nodded briefly. "You too." He said, before hurrying out, hoping that Kai was okay.
Atem hit Khalid-- just to knock him out. For now. It took a couple of whacks to do that. Once the violet-haired man was unconscious, Atem let him fall, and turned to Kai, picking him up awkwardly, rocking him to get him to be quiet. He didn't really stall to make sure Kai was comforted, he needed to make sure Ryou was okay as well.

After a few minutes kai relaxed. He nuzzled to atem gently sucking on his thumb.

Atem soon found out where Ryou was. He unlocked the door fom the outside, wondering how long had he been locked in there, and opened it cautiously. Ryou was inside, sitting on the bed with his head bowed, his hair hiding his features. "Khalid's been causing trouble again. Here-- hold Kai. I have to go take care of him, hopefully for good." Atem said, going over to the bed, holding Kai out.
Ryou lifted his head, a bit slowly. He looked at Atem oddly; it was clear to see that he had been crying. "Oh... sure..." He said, his voice a bit hoarse. He reached out to take Kai from the pharaoh.

Kai cooed softly and grasped his father tightly. He was very happy to see his father "Dada" he had a bit hoarse from screaming.

Atem left, to go back to the playroom, where he had left Khalid. When the pharaoh was gone, Bakura felt safe enough to relax slightly. His hair flared out, his eyes narrowed, all that jazz. He flopped backwards, looking at Kai with a frown. "You don't even have a scratch on you."

Kai poped his thumb in his mouth sucking on it. He looked to bakura watching him innocently.

"Wonder what he would've done to you. Oh, well." Bakura thought that Ryou might have been rubbing off on him a little bit. He felt relieved that Kai was safe. "At least you're okay." He hugged Kai, hoping nobody would see him like this.
[Skip at all? To the hospital or anything?]

It had been an hour and after talking to a doctor Kawi sat in the waitingroom crying.

Atem and Yugi had soon made it to the hospital. Yugi had managed to talk Atem out of actually killing Khalid, though neither of them were really sure if they would be able to do that. Yugi saw Kawi in the waiting room and hurried over to her. "Have you heard anything?"

"Y-Yes..." Kawi studdered looking up to yugi her eyes filling up with tears. "They..They cant find out why she's bleeding...They..They said all they can do I-Is Give her pain medication and make her conforable I-Intill..." Kawi trailed off and burried her face in her hands sobbing.

Yugi's eyes widened in shock. Until what? She died? They couldn't just let her die! He hugged Kawi tightly. "Don't worry. They'll figure something out."
Atem's eyes widened, and then narrowed. His hands clenched into fists, and he turned without another word, storming away. He hadn't understood exactly what had been wrong with Ember, when Yugi had contacted him. If he knew it was this bad, he would have done something else.

Yugi patted Kawi's back, not knowing what he could do for her. "Maybe if they get her more stable they will. It'll be okay."
