Apparently, you're a producer raising up all of the CPUs to be idols in Gamindustri. o wo I have no idea what the plot reason for this is; there might not be any, or some of the characters thought it would be fun... maybe they were arguing and decided to find someone to do it (this has happened before, sorta), so... yeah. XD

Well, it's not like this is a new direction for the series. Mk2 had the Candidates doing an idol event in Leanbox, Victory has Purple Heart and Purple Sister doing a dance routine... I guess it's just very Japan to have this sort of thing happen?

Anyway, another company is helping to make the game, so it might not interrupt main series releases too much. We're not sure if we'll get the game over here or not, though...

They don't really like bringing these sorts of games outside of Japan, much to the frustration of those who want them. >.< But since this is Neptune, maybe they can work it through?
