"I think I soooo get pouting rights right now," Fir said, bracing himself as Nemetona began to examine the wounds (under close supervision by a guard twice as large as he had before).

Sam jumped in surprise and looked up from where he had been painting with his watercolour set. He flushed and tucked his blonde hair behind his ear.

"He's trying to keep me safe," Sam replied shyly.

"Father is my friend," Sam said firmly.

He looked down at his painting. "I have my family," he said softly, though there was uncertainty in his voice. "Grandmother Nemetona has been trying for years to awkaen my 'korred' powers. I don't have any. And I don't like going outside. I either hide what I am or everyone stares at me."

"Baby, do you want me to act like the Rat King after you just said that?" Fir practically cackled.

"I don't have any powers," Sam said. "At least not korred ones. My human blood canceled it out. I can't do anything except paint and let people gawk at the only half-korred."

Fir just smirked. "And yet you keep comig back. You-OUCH!"

"Hold still ad keep quiet," Nemetona snapped. "This is hard enough without you figeting."

"Oh you have a Fianna blade shoved into you. See how the hell you take it!"

"FIR!" Nemetona snapped, pushing the elf down. "You keep this up and I'm goig to have to have you restrained."

"Then stop cutting me up, WOMAN!"

Sam smiled and shrugged. "I guess I can see why Bright Eyes wanted me to meet you. She thinks I have something, too. Not anything human or korred. Something different. Fir and she love you and their on Earth."

He raised an eyebrow at the lucky. "Not really. Any korred or human can handle iron." He sighed. "And mother and Grandmother get angry if I handle it at all. It's taboo. So Grandfather Janson's pocketknife to me o my last brithday didn't go over so well. Especially since the knife was a 'Janson family tradition'."

A spasm of pain flashed through Sam's eyes. "I...I don't think I'd be a very good healer," he said softly. "I...I'm bad luck."

"Well he IS Death incarnate," Fir pointed out, "And I am defiatly not. I am the unfailble Rat King. OUCH."

"Hush."

"You so did that on purpose."

"You know how I feel about you stylizing yourself as a god."

Fir took the opurtuity to flip Eara off. And Nemetona flicked him in the ear.

"Goddamit!" He hissed.

"Because my father and mother's family are always fighting," Sam said quietly. "I'm the heir of both families. And that means two very different things for both. And...and...if I wasn't here...Mother and Father would probably still be married."

Po-ar laughed, "Calm down, Kazu-kun."
"Hai... hai..." Ashuri winced, the boy's rapid speech and tone too much for her hungover mind to handle.
His otousan sighed, "Gomen nasai, Kazu-kun. I was just thinking over some things, and it took a while for me to grasp everything you just told me... and I still don't understand half of it."

Sighing, Watari looked at Yuki in exhasperation. "You know, I'm not really a fighter... things like this don't tend to happen." he spoke, shaking his head. "I really appreciate the care, Yuki-san... demo..."
He hated being useless.

Konton practically read Morrigan's mind. "I told you that you and your family would live, didn't I?" the demon smirked. "We'll just be taking his Shinigami power for ourselves. I think Genesis would make a wonderful Death God."

Morrigan raised an eyebrow at this.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh no. That had to be the most ridiculous load of bullshit she'd ever heard in her life.
It'd be one thing if Aoikage was actually just instead of his accomplice.

Kazuhiko nodded. "Bright Eyes is right." he agreed. "We need to hurry. He's taking Mum's power again Da..." he frowned. "She's not happy at all."

Nooooo, she wasn't.


Yuki raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms. "Are you trying to sass me?" she asked him gently, although there was a hint of warning in her body language. "Are you trying to tell me I don't know what I'm talking about? YOU need to take it slow for the next day or two. You can still work---I'm going to help you---but you surely aren't walking until I'm positive you're not going to wreck yourself more." she scolded him, leaning in close.
003 hopped over to Watari's shoulder once more, the woman moving in to kiss the bird's beak.
"Kawaii...!" she chuckled, straightening up. "Now, Watari-san, if you want me to keep worrying over you, you can go ahead and be stubborn, but I'm only going to nag you about it longer." she warned softly, wheeling him from the x-ray room. "Things like this don't tend to happen to you, but that means the few times they do we have to treat it extra seriously."

Kazuhiko nodded at Sam. "I know... I think I understand why now too. It's alright. We're going to bring her back I think." he picked at his toes quietly. The boy almost ALWAYS ran around barefoot, except when in danger.
Then it was boots! Yeaaah...!
"I think we're going to leave soon. I might not talk as much, but I'll try, ok?? I like being here with you."

Eara smiled. "Thank you again Nematona... Brightest blessings on you and your people. You have been most gracious. I'll be sure to thank Bright Eyes as well, don't worry."
How could she be so cheerful and friendly with the people Fir hated?
"May we meet again under better circumstances..."
She led Fir outside of the room, carefully supporting him. Naturally they'd probably be escorted out. "You poor thing, what are you going to do for the next few days?"
She could always heal him. Now that most of the Fiannan poison and the like was out of the wound, it would be considerably easy to heal the Korred, almost child's play.
He didn't need to know that though. She needed to stall for all the time she could.
"Where's Bright Eyes and Kazu-kun? Where's the Jeep?"
