Tac chuckled, "I think I'm going to nickname you John Kaney. Flippity Floppity, sir. Flippity Floppity. Tall enough, anyhow, just don't got the gaunt look about you. As for myself, I'd be torn between ya calling me Tacitus and Jordan. As you said, another name, another life. I doubt you meant it anywhere as literally."

[Then, as if time herself had run out of ideas for dialogue, given up on the script, deleted the draft, and gone for a latte at Starbucks, Tacitus and Hunter suddenly faded away]

*Luke fades into a chair, sitting as though he's driving a car (which he was). He appears to be calling out the window.*
---...you want to be a hood ornament?? Go on, I dare you!---
*Luke cuts off as he looks around. He scratches his head and relaxes his posture.*

:::Cora walks past the threshold of the guest hall and into the main room. She's carrying an empty bottle of wine and a couple of books. Her hair is braided back in nothing very ornate, just enough to keep out of her eyes
She turns and realizes that she's not the only one in the room:::
Luke! :::She smiles in surprise::: How is it you feel?

Hey. *Luke smiles, gets up, and walks over.* Not bad.
*picks up one of the huge books* Doing a little light reading?

:::Included in the title of the book was a line that read Logic and Principles of Metaphysical Phenomenon. It really was light reading for Cora:::
Yes, well, I have a limited number of things to do while I'm here...
:::Her smile wavered a bit, and she was not being sarcastic:::

:::She scratched the back of her neck:::
I've memorized most everything in there. That and there are...important things to do. :::She clutched at the book a little bit:::
Is this your first time here since we last saw each other?

*squints and thinks* *confirms* Yeah.
After you juggled ping pong tables around the room ...
How long have you been able to do that, Slim?

Well, I told you... I don't know how long anything. But...I'm pretty certain that it's been over half a years since I've taken up practicing again.
And so, I suppose you haven't been present here in order to practice your own ability?

I haven't been here all summer, and I just found out last week. So no.
*pause* But if I could learn to show-off like you, I might actually be able to do something next time the Seraphim comes into this place.
I'm still ******** either way in my own time, but .... at least here, I'll have something.

Well... I've been thinking about what your ability entails, and what sort of focus would work best. I remember the Captain instructing me my first time... but what did he tell you to do when he asked you to attempt your ability?

Like I've been saying, he told me I could "move" things. *He's speaking about it calmer than last time.* The TV in the rec room was on the stand one minute and down by my feet the next.
I mean you can call it telekinesis. *uses Cora's word* Spacial distortion. Using "the force". Whatever it is, he said I have it. *shrug* I just gotta figure it out, that's all.

Hm... ::Cora wrapped her fingers around her chin, and then walked over to the bar. She picked up a shot glass, and came back to where Luke was. Then she placed the shot glass on the table, at the very edge:::
Alright, here is what I want you to do. I want you to imagine that the air immidiately on this side of the glass is solid. :::She waves her hand at the end of the glass opposite the edge of the table. The part of the glass you would push if you wanted it to fall off the table:::
Pretend that you are making the air solid by just looking at it. Then, I want you to make the air right in front of that solid, so that it's in the way of the glass, and the glass falls down. Do you understand?

**Enter Luana**
Luana faded in at a table. With her right hand she was writing a note with her usual untidy scrawl, and her left was held out to the side with three of her finger nails painted shimmering yellow.
