Yeah see no one's really shown any interest contests yet so we haven't really worried about them at. Having seen very little of the anime (and what I do know I've read in episode guides from serebii.net) I myself am not fully comfortable with running contests just yet, and I'd much prefer it if we had more than just one person willing to compete, that way we wouldn't have to rely mainly on NPCs and we could actually assign members to serve as judges. Keep in mind as well that you have to practice appeals though - you can't just enter a contest and be perfect at it. 3nodding
But in other news I finally went up Stark Mountain in my Diamond (Yeah I'm lazy, I know) and have been training my Drapion, whom I love muchly. <3

The only Bug type I've traind is Scyther/Scizor. But they've been getting beefed up in every update. Maybe I'll have to check out Drapion once I train up my other guys.

When Skorupi evolves into Drapion it becomes a Poison/Dark-type. 3nodding

Well that sounds pretty cool. Better combo than Bug/Steel. Scizor rocks, but even an ember seriously damages it. Of course Poison Dark removes the Fire weakness, and Psychic. Wow that is a good combo Fighting and Steel are the only super effective types that I can think of. I'll seriously have to look into one now.

The only weakness a Poison/Dark type has is to Ground. 3nodding Poison-types are resistant to Fighting, so Fighting-type moves end up doing normal damage instead of double.

Poison is my favorite type, and Draion is definitely one of my favorites. He's a key member of my team. I know I have to practice of course, I wasn't planning on jumping in there all cool. My first idea was to enter, not having really practiced or anything, fail miserably in the appeal round, and learn that contests are some seriously hard work. A good life lesson for my character and motivation for the next contest. I watch the anime like a religion, not because it's particularly good but because it's pokemon and that's all I need, and I'm no master but I feel I have sufficient contest knowledge under my belt, just saying. *cough cough* Maybe you should find someone *cough hint cough* to be in charge of contests. Someone who has no other real responsibilities at the moment *cough* and is willing to take such a job upon themselves.
Boy, does anyone have a Ricola?
Though there is the problem of no other members participating in contests, and I would feel all lonesome if I were the only one. Oh well.

I'd love to have Kasiya try contests, but I don't think she'd be very good at them at all. xD Maybe though, when she gets a few lower-level Pokemon. I actually had been thinking about getting her a Trapinch sometime, but I can't see her heading off to the desert anytime soon though. xp

Same goes for me. I can't really run a second character since my activeness wavers so much, but I can definitely run an NPC like I did with Jeremy. I watched two episodes of a contest, so I think I get the jist of it.
