Kawi on the other hand was a bit more kind "Yugi beat me in video games. Im not that good" kawi chuckled "Atleast im better then ember!"

"Which isn't really something to brag about." Khalid said, then realized he was still holding Kai. He set him down on the floor, deciding to give the kid a little freedom to move around. "But don't feel bad about it. I've never gotten the hang of video games either."

Kai squeeked happly and started crawling around the house. Kawi giggled "Yeait's just not anything im good at."

Khalid ran a hand through his hair. "Well, everybody's got their own little advantages and disadvantages. It's sort of like..." Khalid trailed off, his eyes suddenly growing dim. He stared off to the side, completely silent, standing utterly still. He blinked after a few moment, looking shocked and-- scared? He took in a sharp breath, as though he hadn't inhaled in a while, and then looked to Kawi, his eyes wide. "I'm sorry. What was I saying?"

Kawi blinked "Video games....I think..." Kawi then folowed kai into the livingroom.

"I... um... right." Khalid muttered, bringing his hand up to his forehead. Was that just...? He couldn't believe it. It had been so long since he had been required to do something with the Millennium Items. Why was he being directed now? He reviewed the information in his mind, and his fears were confirmed. The Millennium Eye was to have a new owner... He had no problems in the past with giving it to a person. But why that person? Khalid felt himself going weak.

"That... would be a good idea..." Khalid muttered, rubbing his temples. They throbbed painfully. He knew he would have to start acting in Fate's will, lest his body get possessed by forces greater than his own. The job would get done, one way or another. He could either work with it, or surrender his body. Yugi scowled. Khalid was acting freaky. What was his problem? "What's your problem?" He asked, voicing his mental question.

Khalid stayed quiet, his head buried in his hands. Finally, he rose to his feet. His expression had completely changed; his eyes were cold, his face showing no emotions at all. It was like he had been before. "The child and I will be leaving now." He said, in a soft, empty voice.

Khalid tilted his head to the side, a half smile crossing his face. "He's been chosen, woman. Do not try to interfere." Yugi, getting spooked, tried to reach his yami through a mind link. Khalid rounded on Yugi abruptly, seizing him by his throat, raising him up. "No other people need to be involved. Stop trying." Khalid hissed, kneeing Yugi sharply in the stomach and letting him drop.

Khalid held out one hand, palm down. "I can kill you. I would have no regrets in doing so. Just give the child to me. Either way, I'll get him. The choice is yours whether you live or die."
