Yeeeeeeeeeah. Granted, I do buy stuff from the cash shop, mostly because I am addicted to making my avatar look 'pretty' and I like to buy art and stuff that I can't afford without cheating and buying cash because everyone's overpriced things out the wazoo to be able to buy these items in the first place or because they think they're entitled to it. But I feel like a whore every time I do. Which, given this is me, is normal.

There's nothing technically wrong with them selling premium items for real money, but I just kind of feel like gaia sold out. Maybe it's because I was raised on the internet (and yes... I pretty much grew up here) in such a way where you didn't pay for anything, except maybe once and a while to aquire web hosting, and of course your internet connection.
(also... ZOMG There's someone here at the same time as I am! smile smile smile smile )
And now... off to class! I'ma lern me sum ethics.

Well its odd to have Gaia promise that it will remain a free site, and yet all the decent items are only for cash, or super gold expensive. I remember when donating was an optional thing. Now they're raking in gold because its literally a business transaction.

Exactly. I used to donate because I wanted to help gaia, now you basically have to if you want any good items.
