Kai was currently sitting in a wet diper and was very unhappy. His crying got louder as he saw khalid reaching out to be picked up.

Khalid bent down, scooping the boy up and then went to the changing table. "Poor kiddo. I told Ryou not to stay long, but he just wanted to talk to Kira." He grumbled, removing the fouled diaper and dumping it into the diaper trash can, searching for the clean ones.

Once the diper was off kai seemed to calm down. Hecooed softly watching khalid move around.

"Ah. Here." Khalid found the stash and went back over to Kai, cleaning him up before putting the new diaper on. "When are we gonna teach you about toilets, kiddo?"

"Lids are for soda." Khalid chided, picking Kai up. "Come on. Your dad has to be left alone for now. You want to do anything?"

"You want to see any of your aunties?" Khalid was, of course, referring to either Kawi or Ember. He had been completely unaware of Ryou's phone argument.

"Okay. We'll take a walk down there." Khalid said, then decided to dress Kai for a walk. After struggling some clothes onto the boy, he guessed that he was ready to go. It was cold outside, so he would have to walk briskly. "First we should say bye to your dad. He needs to be alone for a while, but we have to let him know that we're leaving."

Khalid smiled and then took Kai down by Kira and Ryou's old bedroom door. He knocked faintly, frowning when he didn't hear anything from inside. "Ryou? I'm taking Kai out. We won't be gone long." He called through the door, waiting for an answer. There was none.

Still nothing. "Come on, kiddo. I'm sure Yugi and Kawi will be happy to see you." He said, heading to the front door. He paused to put a coat of his own on, heading outside, surprised to find the sun almost setting. It was snowing lightly.
