What the Seer did do, was violent. She paused, her body encased in air holding her still, and was thrown at a nearby building wall. Not enough to kill or really damage, but enough to make the point. She was then pulled towards the Seer, right up to his face. /Leave here now. I'm giving you a chance to return to the dogs that sent you here, so take it/ His voice seethed in here head as he released her.

The combination of momentary asphyxiation and slamming against the wall--and the fact that she hadn't had anything to drink in a while--turned A.C.'s vision black and starry for about a minute and a half. Facing him with absolutely no expression, the surface of her mind was very, very still. Finally, a single thought rose up to float on top, plain for any telepath to see. Are you the one who protected Ora from me?

((In Ora's room thread. Some time ago, but basically: Just before A.C. died the last time in that dumpster, when she was weak from poison, she followed Aaron through a portal between the AA and the other dimensional mansion Ora has. After Merlin grabbed the kid and split, she was left stranded there with Ora and Ashura, dying of poison and wounds. Her last act was to shoot Ora in the back--which killed Ora, except there was a take-back--and fall mostly unconscious. With the take-back, Master of Puppets slammed A.C. up and down against the ceiling and the floor and told her not to try that again.))

A.C. again went on autopilot... but an older one than that which had developed from spying. This autopilot dated back to her time in the Union... when one followed orders without question, without thought. Without remorse, or consideration for the morality or principles of it. Mind cycling deeply upon everything that had happened in the past year or so, latching onto nothing and unable to rest until something significant to the present had been found, she walked listlessly out of the AA base. At only one point did she stop.
At the front gates, only two feet from leaving forever--in her mind, for it seemed this place would now be as forbidden to her as the AoS was--A.C. turned around. "Jean," she called out to one of the guards, someone she had never spoken to or seemed to notice, but whom A.C. knew had noticed her when she first came in. "Please. Keep an eye on the boy. He gets into trouble, and no one can afford to mind him these days."
And with that, she was gone.

Si1ver Streak Ruby St.Claire Ruby walked back into the base, a blank look on her face. She ignored the guards that gave her curious looks, and with the movements of a zombie headed towards her tree. She passed by the elevator and paused. She looked at it, and then back at the ring on her finger, and then back at the elevator. It would be quick, and effective, there would be no gore, nothing for Aaron to stumble across. The thoughts immediatley as Aaron came to mind. She couldn't do that, not to him. Ruby let out a choked cry and fell backwards against the wall, slowly sinking to the floor. She stayed there for a while, her sobs coming in trembling gasps, and then a soft small hand laid itself on the back of her head. "Mom? What's wrong?" Aaron's gray eyes glanced down to Ruby's, concern evident in the slight tilt of his lip. He was trying not to frown. She tried to smile, tried to be brave, but her reply came out voiceless, barely a whisper. "He left us." Aaron just stared at her, not quite understanding. In his left hand Ruby noticed a piece of paper. It was a handmade card, with a crayon version of the bus, and a misspelled 'father's day.' Ruby wiped her own tears, and gently took the paper away, as Aaron started to realize what she had meant. Ruby took him into her arms, as the five-year old who never cried, began to sob. She kissed the top of his head and hushed him, even as she cried too. (( eek Did I miss a post somewhere?)) ((Ovah drahmatizatiohn, mah friehn'))
