Always. >>He gently let go of her, trusting the females word on being back soon. Those eyes...he remembered when he could honestly look at them when they were upset, and not give in. He was a sad fool...but he was a love sick one. He hobbled towards his storage tree's when she left to take out the spare bandages and skinning knives before scootching back to the trunk. He proceeded his work on his foot<<

Calanthia looked up from her work at the pit and winced. "Jyn what are you doing?" She seemed a little squeamish to be looking on. Shaking her head she stood up. "I'm going to get us some fish. Feel free to explain it to me after we eat something." She smiled lightly before she hurried off for the fish. Jyn was a tough cookie, she could NEVER do something like that to herself. It didn't take too long, about ten to fifteen minutes to bring back to large fish she carried by their gills. She was curious to see if he had started on the fire yet.

>>The male slowly unwound the bandages, immediatly wincing at the sight that lay before him. Maybe he should start wearing a shoe on that foot. He proceeded to get out a thin slicer, and start carefully digging out the occasional splinter and even so much as a fragment of rock; sharp as glass. He took a little corner of bandage and whiped away the blood before re-wrapping it, though he wasn't sure how long until the rock-wound bled through. It had been small, but deep. The bites from the wolves looked evil from the constant moving and improper dousing of antibiotic on them. The infection however shouldn't proof fatal, and they would heal into scars. Granted he'd let them rest for once. He wiped the blood off of the knife onto his pants leg. He started to carefully arrange the wood in the blackened circle infront of him before brushing some dry grass up to the edge and taking up his old striking rock. Cala found him then, just as the sparks began to fly. The instant a few took hold, he bent over to gently blow on it until they caught fire, which in turn caught to their wood<<

Calanthia smiled seeing him having completed the task with such ease. She was more then grateful to have him back and just looking at the Jyn she remembered was enough for her. She moved over to where he was and smiled down at him. "Jyn, where would you like me to set down the fish for now?" Her voice held a gentle tone as she watched him and took in the sight of his every movement. If only he understood... Her ears folded back. She couldn't. All she could do was sing her silly songs.

>>He looked up from his work as he heard her approach, large genet ears twitching. The male nodded to a spot by the fire before reaching to his skinning knives and pulling out the biggest one<< Right there for now. >>The moment she set them down he picked one up, and proceeded to cut it in half. He took one of the spare sticks for feeding the fire and stuck it through each half in a shish-ka-bob manner, just like the first time they had eaten fish. It coated his hands in blood, and bits of intestine, but they were too big to be cooked whole. He sliced the other one in half and stabbed through the peices similarly. As the male worked, he was quiet. Calm. It was odd, how everything came so easily to him now, but just how easily everything had slipped away. The mind was an interesting contraption indeed. He glanced up at cala as he stuck the last fish-pole into the ground. She was watching him so intently, just like when they first met. As if he was the most interesting thing on the planet. He scooted to the side a little on the log, subtly hinting but never voicing for her to join him while their meal cooked<<

Calanthia had done as he asked then jumped back from the fire's warmth. Violet eyes watched him so intensely as to memorize his movements. To her, she couldn't believe this same man had lost himself. She remembered when Jyn couldn't remember anything. That was the one thing she had no idea of. Would he remember all the time that had passed between them? So many faces to one man who was quiet. When he looked at her, and scooted over a little, her head tilted for a moment. Maybe he DID remember. Slowly, she came over and sat down beside him. Cala couldn't help but to rest her head on his shoulder and nuzzle him a little. She felt as though the world was right for just this moment. How long would it last? She had no idea. "I'm sorry." Violet eyes focused on the fire as she let the silence fall between them. As long as she had said it to him, she felt she could move on from her guilt.

>>Warm. The fire was warm, the light basking the campsite with the contrast of the midnight trees around. The sun was setting, noted as he watched the sparks fly up to the dark blue sky. He didn't look long though, eyes quickly shifting to the head on his shoulder. A hand rose as if unsure of itself, whether to push her away or leave well enough alone. It moved up to brush its fingertips against her cheek, so tenderly. His gaze shifted to the fire, the silence so set in he couldn't rile himself up to break it with his forever voice record of denying her apologise. The silence continued, except from the crackling of the flames. He remembered very well that first night she turned from the heat. And how he unwittedly turned her away not long ago in fear because of it. He knowingly was setting it all up again, without him actively thinking of it. The genet cat was truly more intelligent then one would give him readily<< Cala... >>The name was soft, so very soft, to ease the transistion from silence. That hand rose again to catch her chin, and lift her face towards the sky<< I love you. >>His forgiveness. The male leaned down to claim her lips, so soft, it had to be a dream<<
OOC: >.>; sorry about the...uh...wordiness. Just spent the last 4 hours reading The Poisonwood Bible. Pretty high reading level

((XD No worries! Nyaa so cute! <3))
Calanthia would never tell him how much he was stunning her tonight alone. It was hard for her to see before but really, after being without this Jyn for so long, they had made so much progress together. For all the times she thought herself to be nothing but a nuisance. A pest to him. A plight on his life. When she was not pushed away, she was made more of this feeling that had grown for him. the fingers that brushed her cheek brought forth a purr from deep within her. She enjoyed how gentle he was with her and reminded her of those first few times they met. How different those times were to her and how foreign they seem now. One ear flicked at her name being spoken and pulled her free from her thoughts. She barely realized she had been moved at all when those words entered her ears. That soft kiss brought forth a flood of emotion. In one moment, she had melted into his kiss. Her arms wrapped around him hugging him tightly as she returned his gentle kiss with her true emotions. She broke the kiss to whisper, "Jyn, I..." She took in a deep breath, her purple eyes looked away as her body trembled. She was going to try. "..l-l-love.." the word shook with her bod, forced passed her lips with as much effort as she held. As if to try and calm herself and also get her point across, the bengal kissed him once more, with all the passion and love that she had in her heart. She broke free from him once more to whisper the word softly into his ear. "..you."

>>He never wanted to wake up. The lips upon his was almost soft enough to be an illu-All at once he felt them, felt her, with arms wrapped so tight around him. The male had barely gotten over the surprise when she pulled away, those luminous eyes flicking from him as well. Then of all things, she began to tremble! He instantly wrapped his arms around her in support, trying to calm the woman down. He shouldn't have coaxed her beside the fire! Wait. Love? He froze, holding his breath unknowingly as this reality made itself a dream, and willingly kissed her back. He didn't even need to hear that last word. Just 'Jyn, I love' was enough to have him die satisfied. He kissed back with his own passion, eyes closed as he held her. The fish could catch fire for all he cared. All too soon Cala pulled away then, her lips finding his ear. His grip on her tightened<< and I always will. >>The male whispered, obsidian eyes still closed<< I promise.
OOC: AT LONG LAST!!! >>shoots off fireworks<<

(( xd took her long enough))
Cala's violet eyes watered a little from joy to know she finally found what she had been missing all along. She hugged him tightly, closed her eyes and nuzzled his neck. "I promise I will try to say it better. Its hard for me still but this is the first time I have ever spoken those words and meant it. With all my heart." She looked up at him. "I realized.. back when I tried to let you go.. that it hurt to not have you in my life. You are the only one who I have never wanted to let go or forget. That I can't let go, even if I tried." The bengal confessed all this to him, not knowing if he would remember what time she was talking about. She nuzzled his neck affectionately. She didn't care anymore what he did and didn't remember. "I never want to leave your side, Jyn."

>>He almost laughed, a show of just how happy he was. He didn't mind if he never heard it again! Just that once was enough. An arm left her so he could cup her face in a hand, eyes opening to look upon it. He used to dislike this face. Immensely<< I'm glad... >>He meant it. No sarcasm. No coldness. His hand left her cheek to now gently stroke her hair<< I'd be a poor man without my sapphire. >>Jyn whispered gently. He wouldn't be the first to pull away. He didn't have it in him<<

Calanthia's violet eyes looked up at him, tears of joy welding up within. The bengal hugged him tightly and kissed his cheek. She couldn't tell him how much it meant to her that she was treasured as much as a sapphire. All she could do was to kiss him again, very softly, almost shyly. "I have been practicing but whenever I thought I had enough courage to say it, I would lose you again and meet a new side of you." Her ears folded back, as her hug tightened even more. "I missed you so much, Jyn. It was interesting to meet your other sides, but none of your past is the man I want to spend the rest of my life with." She looked up at him with a smile. "I will always care so deeply for your past, but you are the one I want." She held up the necklace from around her neck to show him. "No matter how much we fought, and what we went through, I never took it off."

Good. I dont like the past me's either. I was a brat when little. >>His eyes traveled down then to the necklace, and his features immediatly softened. He remembered when he gave that to her. And while he'd never say it, he was relieved she kept it. It was a big step mentally for him with her. He felt an unaccustomed warmth spread throughout him, and it wasn't because of the fire<< redface The...the fish should be ready... >>He grumbled softly, the touchy-feely moment over with him. Though, he wouldn't mind eating side by side with the woman he loved<<

"I liked them, but there is only one Jyn for me." Calanthia giggled a little. "Your younger self was cute though you didn't care much for me. You actually liked my sister better, until she scared you." Hearing him speak of the fish, Calanthia smiled and released him to let him get the fish, but not without kissing his cheek beforehand. Cala smiled with a bright expression. For the first time in a long time, she finally felt things were going right between them. Despite his head injury, his ankle injury, and his new distaste for her sister, this had been the day with little trouble and she was grateful for that. However, with her hair down, she had to reach back and pull it up off her neck. She did miss her hair ornament and sighed. Maybe she should move back from the fire some more, just to be safe. The bengal rose and stepped over the log to scoot back more. Of course, between holding up her hair and all her thoughts and feelings swarming her head, she was easily tripped by this log and fell over, landing on the other side. She hardly minded though and even laughed softly.

Don't remind me. >>The male shifted his body to face the fire again before picking up two shish-ka-fish sticks. He turned to her with one just in time to catch her graceful trip over<< ... sweatdrop >>This was the woman who wanted to spend the rest of her life in the woods with him! He restuck the sticks into the ground before twisting his body and extending a hand to help her up<< If you had stayed on the log you wouldn't have fallen. >>He tried not to let the fact that she had been moving away from the genet irk him<<
