actually by the letter of the rules the only way someone automaticly becomes a deamon prince is with stature, in the points limit section it says that if he spends over 50pts he MAY become a deamon prince so if you dont want him to be one he doesnt have to

Yup. He may become a daemon prince, and be modelled apropriately.

So fi I give him Stature, but keep him under 50 points, he#' not a daemon prince at all.

no other way rouynd if you give him stature he automaticly has to modeld onto a larger base and becomes a deamon prince but a lord can have 100pts of demonic wargear and still not be a deamon prince

Butbutbut...

The model with the Daemonic Stature must be modelled as such, but only takes on the *aspect* of a daemon prince. Dictionary.com says that aspect means "A way in which something can be viewed." So just because he looks like one, it doesn't mean he is. Like if he has the powers and abilites of one, it doesn't mean he is.

So a model with Daemonic Stature *can* be a daemon prince, in the same way that a model with 50+ points of Daemonic Gifts *can* be a Daemon Prince.

The way I see it, he can only be a Prince if he has both of those, but even then, do doesn't *have* to be, as you're not forced into it in any Codex that I know of.

If he *is* a Daemon Prince, then he is weak to the Daemon Specific weapons. But as a Lord, he isn't. Just a lord with 50+ points of Daemonic Gifts, including Stature.

I was thinking of a Lord with Speed infiltrate Demonic Strength and furious charge as a base, with Mutation and a pair of master crafted lightning claws and spikey bits making him quite a tasty combatant fairly cheaply. Definatly having me some raptors though!

Id suggest swaping out the Lighting claws for the Dark Blade. 2+ strength, demonic strength, and furious charge will make you S8 on the charge 3nodding

true but he doesn't really need S8... the re-rolls to wound are a godsend sometimes especially as he'll probably hit with all his attacks due to the two re-rolls...

I think you only get the one reroll to wound, though you get two to hit

All wounds can be re-rolled thats why you pay 30 points per pair...:S or 25 for a single one...

What would make a better Abaddon? A Plastic Termi or the real mini

What'd make a better Marneus Calgar? The real mini, or some power/terminator armour?

Well I dont like Calgar period. I know the accutal mini would be good, but I should be comming into some plastic termis soon, and I figure if I take the hair off the heads and a few extra bits, I could make Abaddon

I wanna make some plastic terminators for Chaos, but they're fair expensive.

It is true, but the work is pretty basic, alittle clicing and fileing and bam, youve got yourself some traitor Termis right there
