Oni meandered towards the centre of the village, right by the table where the elder sat, and he decided to wait there for the festival's end. He sat down, watching all around him.pfft... nothing else to do, might as well wait and observe others.

::Hinata lead Kotai to the center of the festivities. The elder was sitting not too far away at the table with the other leaders. Venders all around were selling food and other nifty gifts::
Hm...wonder how the teams are doing...
::hinata muttered softly::
: surprised utside of the village fo shadowy forms perched in the trees, watching a fifth run up the path towards the village::

*with the festival and all...it seemed for just a brief moment that Konoha would someday return to its prime...*
Shunketsu: it seems we may have some good old R & R after all...

arrow inside some kind of command center-like thing
Male Voice 1: Maam, we've reached our location.
*A Male officer pushes a few touch-screen panels on a podium-like control panel*
Male Commander: Confirming...Yes...we are just about a mile outside a village hidden in the leaves like in His prophecy...your orders?
*a sole woman sits in a captain's chair, resting her head on one hand, the other hand tapping the armrest...*
Woman: My orders have always been the same...we must rid the world of all evil...Annihilate them...
arrow Back to the forest scene
*the trees and soil shifted...as if something were emerging from below...a funneling effect seemed to occur as something silver and shiny started emerging from the center...it was a tip of a building of some sorts...and it grew taller and taller...and within a minute, an enormous, futuristic-looking tower stood in the forest where nothing but trees existed before...its base was huge...and at the base, hangar doors slowly opened...*

*Heavily armored soldiers were the first to exit the hangar bay...about 100 on foot...they marched in 10 rows of 10, spaced well amongst the trees...The armor looked as if they belonged to England's Medieval Ages, except that on the front of each piece of armor was a special compartment of which a large semi-sphere of an orb was placed...there was a Ying-yang symbol within the orb...Weapons consisted of giant battleaxes, but instead of the usual rod-like center, at the tip existed a small sphere...from behind them came another 10 individuals...cloaked from head to toe in black...nothing about them was revealed...no sign of weapons or armor could be seen...just the black clothing...they all started their march towards the village...the black figures vanished in the darkness provided by the trees*

arrow Festival Grounds
Kotai was laughing over a bowl of sake when the warning signals came... the Forest was his to command, after all. Green fire laced his eyes in a gridwork of Chakra.
"Trouble... lots of it." He sent out a Kikai to every Jounin in the area, telling them of what was coming... but doing so secretly, there was no need to cause a panic.
The Aburame looked across the table to Hinata and frowned sadly... these assholes just ruined a perfectly good night.
Above his head, a cloud of Kikai arrived, carrying his equipment. It didn't take long for Kotai to get changed back into his old battle gear. He looked over to Hinata when he was finished and extended a hand. "Join me, Hinata-chan?" There was a quiet smile on his face.

*Being the lazy idiot that he is...Shunketsu was fast asleep in a tree even though he was supposed to be on guard duty...and totally ignored the kikai in his unconscious state...*
arrow outside Konohagakure
*whether they wanted to cause a ruckus or not...it was going to happen...one of the cloaked figures reached the wall of Konoha first...*
*he placed a strange device on the wall and ran for it...*
Cloaked figure: 3...2...1...
*a large explosion blew apart the wall and some of the trees where the bomb was planted...*
*2 other bombs simultaneously exploded at other points along the wall*

::Hinata gave Kotai the same tired and resigned smile that she had sported since Cloud's initial attack on Leaf. She stood, stretched for a breif moment and then nodded. She breifly grasped his hand an gave it a squeeze before taking off towards the wall where the threat was coming from::

arrow Konoha Wall
Kotai smiled briefly as she gripped his hand, before disappearing himself... darting towards for the breaks along with several Jounin behind him, his own squad. Beside him traveled two ANBU of the Wolf Mask.
He stopped suddenly, before the middle breach, and sent his squad to the right, assuming that Hinata and her squad were attending the left wall.
Kotai stood between the two ruptured sections of wall, hands on his hips as he awaited whatever assassin or force dared to attack Konoha again.
This isn't good, we just received word that Sand had recently been attacked, and is apparently under attack again so quickly... we still haven't recovered from the War, ourselves. But we can handle this.

((well...after a lot...of...uhh...i won't say nagging, but I can't think of a better term, I figured if I was going to put some action into the threads, I'd make it something out of the ordinary...))

*From within the darkness of the trees, Kotai's stare would be met by strange glowing lights, as well as streams of fire and bolts of lightning from his front...rains of icicles from above...and earth spikes shooting up from the ground towards him from behind...*
*the same would happen at the other wall gaps to the other squads*

Kotai looked annoyed, if anything. He stomped the spikes back into the earth, ignored the fire, let his scarves snatch away the icicles and throw them back at the attackers... being made of water, the icicles drew the electricity and thus electrified ice spikes were flying back at their creators.
When the dust cleared, Kotai was still standing there.

Each elemental attack was met with an opposing elemental jutsu from the Jounin stationed there.

(ooc: I'm sure that I had something planned for this thread but its been so long that I kinda forgotten hehe)
::a pair of large wings spread out above the group that Hinata directed, the ice from above hailing down onto the mostly solid wings of the chakra bird that she summoned, its mostly silent cry echoing only in her ears. The rest of the nins on her team did their best to block the onslaught from the front. The bird then turned its head towards the woods, where Hinata's gaze went as well::
::She easily activated the byakugan now, scanning the darkening woods with intent eyes, waving a hand here and pointing in a few places, placing her team wordlessly as she watched::

*as Hinata looked into the forest, once she set her gaze upon one of the cloaked figures, her vision would immediately be repelled by a ominous yingyang image...forcing an unnecessary strain on the Byakugan...*
*the sounds of falling axes hit the floor, and soon, the ground beneath Hinata's group gave way to a huge chasm...*
arrow wall breach 2
*the electrified icicles impaled themselves on trees and those that did not deflected off the armors of the soldiers...*
*from within a darkness, only a glowing blue blade was seen...the figure was hidden in the darkness of the knight...only barely visible with the flickering of the flames from the bomb...with a quick sweep of his sword, the fires went out...and hiding his blade with his cloak he was once again unseen...*
*light footsteps would be heard, as the figures approached, and the next thing Kotai would see were 2 blue blades headed for him...*
arrow Wall breach 3
*slammings of axes to ground could be heard, and the ground beneath the squad gave way...2 cloaked figures jumped amid them and slashed away as they approached the other side of the chasm*

::hinata winced at the pain that hit her head, releasing the byakugan quickly, so as not to drain herself too quickly. Before she could fully recover herself the ground open. Several quick hand signals and wings, built from her own chakra exploded from her back, the bird above her disappearing just as quickly::
Sheild yourselves! Quickly!
::her hands grasped the edge of the chasm, the wings faded as she hauled herself up to the surface, falling flat on her stomach for a few seconds before springing up again and quickly moving to what remained of the wall. She pressed herself against it, the rest of her team positoned on either side::
::she braved a peak around the edge, wondering only for a breif moment if the other teams were experiencing the same thing::

Kotai could see quite well in the dark, actually, and simply awaited the two black-cloaked figures to attack him. "Hurry this up, I have a party to get back to."
arrow Wall Breach 3
Two of the Jounin leapt quickly back out of the chasm they had momentarily fallen into, and on top of the two attackers assaulting their comrades. Two further scissor-kicked the attackers' legs with considerable strength while the last two brought in a coordinated heel-drop onto the sternum of the enemies.
The scissor-kick would likely pitch the two attackers into their own chasm.

*the front line of the soldiers present at Hinata's location had their axes glow a cold blue and slammed the ground, and in front of them, ice pillars emerged...their axes then glowed a bright yellow, and they slammed their axes into the pillars...*
*the pillars shattered...and going with the momentum, the now electrically-charged ice shards flew in the direction of Hinata and her squad...*
arrow wall breach 2
*while one blue blade attempted to slice him from top to bottom, the second blade instead sliced along the ground...sending shockwaves into the ground..at the same time...the soldiers back in the forest simultaneously slammed icy blue axe-tips at the ground...the added combination provided enough energy to the 2nd blade to send a wave of quickly-forming ice that would attempt to form over Kotai's feet and get him stuck to the ground...*
arrow Wall breach 3
*jumping upon the figures and scissor-kicking them would prove difficult as the figures were not fully diving towards the other side...in midair, as the shinobi tried to counterattack, the figures would curl up into somersault-like balls, blades sticking out...spinning with a decent speed...landing on this would prove fatal...the legs that attempted to scissorkick them would also be met with a cold blade...*((think of Sonic the Hedgehog...or...better yet...a circular saw-like thing...))

::Hinata a several of her team created quick hand seals, throwing their hands up to create a sort of sheild out of their chakra, it was only a quick fix, something to act as a block against the projectiles that were coming their way. After a few moments, one of her team took her place and Hinata moved backwards. ::She flexed her fingers for a moment and then started a new set of seals, summoning the bird again that gave it nearly silent shriek as it turned, took flight, and aimed itself in a dive towards the approaching force::
