Merc frowns, he hadn't thought of that. "I think so. I have a card." he takes out the card, and examines it. He turns it over. "Oh, there's a map on the back. I should be fine." he says. He hands the card to Seth, so the other man can examine it himself.

Sethos examines the card.. and adds the phone number to his cell, just in case, "Are you sure it's ok? You barely even know the guy."

Merc nods. "I know I may look small and innocent, but catboys have their defenses." he lifts up a hand, showing off his claws. "These aren't here to simply look pretty." the look on Merc's face is nothing like it's ever been before. He looks dangerous. "So I'll be alright. People underestimate us because we're so small, but you know." he smiles then, back to his normal self. He also doesn't mention the fact that he barely knows Seth, as well.

Merc puts the card in one of his pockets and nods. "You know what's funny? The shop dude thought we were on a date!"

"Really? How the heck did he get that impression?" Sethos asks. he's been trying to cut back on the swears, since you can get in trouble for swearing during a tournament.

Merc shrugs, and scampers ahead, having renewed energy. Also, theyre almost at the beach.

Sethos so wouldn't go on a date all sweaty from practice and in his workout clothes. But that's besides the point. He walks quickly enough to keep the catboy in sight. He was a bit excited too, at the beach he could go swimming... which would make up for the fact that he hadn't had a shower since practice.

Merc stops running when he gets close to the water. He doesn't like water, but he does like playgrounds, and that's why he was there. He feels slighlty upset that Seth had basically said that he'd never date the catboy, but Merc already knew that. Seth was straight, after all.

When sethos gets there he plops his racket bag on the ground and immediately takes off his disgustingly sweaty tshirt. He sees merc balk away from the water, "Aren't you going to go swimming?"

Merc's eyes go wide and he shakes his head. "I hate the water!" he says, taking a few more steps back.

"Well, I'm going in. I need a shower, so this'll have to do." He takes off his shoes, socks and shorts, leaving him in a pair of black boxers, "Why did you want to come to the beach then?"

Merc grins, trying very hard to ignore the sight set before him. "Playground." he says. He tries not to let his gaze linger on Seth's finely toned chest, or on his broad shoulders. He tries not to think of how good seth looks without much clothing on. He forces himself to stop staring.

"I'll join you over there after I feel clean, k?" Sethos is oblivious to the what he's doing to the cat boy. Without any further words, Seth goes into the water.

Merc again, tries not to stare at the other man as he slips into the water. He forces himself to turn away, and go over the the playground. He runs around and plays with some kids, but his efforts are halfhearted, seeing as what he really wants to be doing involves a very attractive tennis player who is currently in the water.
