FoxeyFoxey Jordan Caboose Crayola Cupcake French Horn is the second sexiest instument ever!
:] Then what's the sexiest? The Melophone of course! 8D ~Foxey lol! The Mellophone is sooo easy to play. ^^ Except I use my horn mouthpiece + adapter when I play it. I can't figure out how to use the official mouthpiece! <_<

The french horn is so F**king ausome. I still play it too. Exept lately it's been playing kind of funcky. My B.D. says its a leak.

Soidie The french horn is so F**king ausome. I still play it too. Exept lately it's been playing kind of funcky. My B.D. says its a leak. Ugh. I know the feeling. I had to get the joints on my horn resoldered cause they all popped off and the horn started to unravel. confused

is a real mello mouthpiece just like a trumpet? cause i've always just used a horn mouthpiece... doesnt it effect the sound using a different kind of mouthpiece?

Something very strange happened to me today . . .
About two weeks ago, a screw came off my french horn, and the string in the back unraveled. My BD made me look for it for like 15 min. before he would accept we couldn't find it and I could leave. Then today, I put my hand into my hoodie pockets . . . and guess what I find?
The screw . . was there . . . in my pocket . . . for TWO weeks . . . after being washed and all . . . multiple times . . i'm confused . .
Hehe, wow I'm going to be in trouble . . .

So, is it bad to wash a French horn? Mine isn't too pretty on the inside sweatdrop .
I'm kinda scared to find something really gross in it though...

No, you can wash your horn =] Just make sure you find out how to do it properly first . . .

No, you can wash your horn =] Just make sure you find out how to do it properly first . . .
I don't know if anyone here has ever washed a trumpet, but is it the same process? Like the slides seem pretty basic, but the main body scares me because of the values xp . I think I should be o.k. washing the slides this weekend and then asking this awesome old guy that comes in to band and helps me out about the rest. I would hate to have to tell my band director I broke that lovable old horn even more. He's pretty intolerant of us freshmen, sadly.
Or at least I hope? Ha, this reminds me of something. I was on the phone with someone and de-spitting my horn. Next thing I know, I had 6 slides and no idea where they went. I know now thanks to that. xd

It gets stuck in the mellophone and the mouthpiece falls out when I snap my Horn down. So, I'm stuck with a mellophone mouthpiece.
