The reason it is slow is because SiN got a bit of writers block with the Princess, and most of the rest of the characters are waiting on the rest of their teams, Since the Goddess and the King are missing it's hard to get started. And I don't mind pushing forward, I usually have to do more then a bit of that myself and Senko would be your main partner as it stands. I am sorry you don't feel like giving it a try but I find your reasoning silly.

No one in the plot is strictly speaking 'evil' The High Mage is a little power crazy, being the only one I could possibly consider evil, the Assassin is in many ways a lover not a fighter, her dedication to the King rising from more then duty. And the God is a whole 'nother story, IF you read his back story he is far from evil. The Cunning One is not even close, and considering his position as central to that side of the story doesn't The King out of everyone there have the highest chance of being able to change the initial nature of the characters? It is an impossible situation to begin with, with the characters as they are, but the progression of the storyline can change as the characters change. I have had it end peacefully once before, and never in all the times I have reset it has there been all out war. I have always found one of the most intersting and moving plot methods the growth of characters through adversity and the choice to work against the flow for what you truly believe in.

I am not trying to force you into something you don't want to do, I was just suprised at your comment since that was not the intent the starting role was meant to portray. I have a zombie RP that is moving along quite quickly, and I have PMed all those in both of my Chapter Three RPs to see what is slowing the play, one member is in the hospital (as I was informed before she left) and one has some writers block, that is not uncommon. I could always make another character but I wanted to give people a chance to select characters before I started making them myself.

I do not intend to let any of these roleplays die, even if it means, removing writers if they chose not be active after being requested and warned (within a reasonable time frame such as a month or two), and taking on more roles myself. As for the story being 'fresh' I don't believe that is quite the case, the story only really begins once the characters interact, there is no driving plot, only the ones the characters bring into play, as such the Goddess's intent to get back her islands, or defeat the God, or kill the King, are all contingent on the style the writer of that specific character choses to go, which is why each time it is started it is a new story, with new motivations and a new plot. To draw an example from Dark Hearts which has a similar structure, if not theme, in one version the Lord of the City hooks up with the Lady of the Night, and dumps the Maid (who is his 'current lover' according to the starting profile), where as in this version the Lady is uneasy around him and he is content with the Maid. The starting positions only give the writers some basis upon which to base interactions with charcter, not a set storyline they are to follow. It is much more free form then that.

For me, I find most often with the 'role' format, I am very slow to start until I know my partners, since so much of the 'present' character is formed from their interactions, the 'past' being defined by the role and the future unlimited with my choice of how they can grow. It's a bit of a change from completely free formed characters, it seems most people are more used to.

I will be returning to your team as the "Cunning One" soon enough, and Senko is already there as the Assassin, I am debating the High Mage... but I may leave that dormant for a time, until someone else takes it. The God might also join in but not for a time... None of my characters have reason to inspire a plot, but if you have some idea, go ahead! Who knows you could have a 'nightmare' that the queen still lived, and ask the God to look into it... and send an assassin after her to keep a war from breaking out if she were to start a rebellion, or the Goddess could start it, or the Princess could start it herself when she finds out who she is. (Which I am going to tell her as soon as the Sorceress is home and the Cunning One has left...)
