With a grunt, he was on the floor. He didn't expect her to bail out like that. With Harley off to relieve herself, Dylon got himself up and winked at every lady that walked by. He wondered why he was getting dirty looks in return until he remembered that he was standing outside the women's washroom. Oh right. Probably not appropriate. His ladygirl finally came back out, and he whirled around with a grin. "Welcome back!" He began leading the girl back down the hallway. "So, this is the Life Labs building, one of the divisions here at Deus. You'll probably be briefed on all that stuff when a higher up assigns you one." He tried to make it all out as light hearted as possible. He was aware there was a darker side to living the life of a hunter. However, he wasn't one of those who'd seen the worst it had to offer. "First things first. I'm going to take you to The Cove. There, you'll meet get your very own weapon." Partner. But she'd learn that once she heard them. "You'll know which one it is when you hear it."

"Good to be back?" Harley stopped just long enough to rescue her green shutter shades from the floor, and put them on simply because that was what you did with shades. Plus, they were a gift, and she was always under the impression that you should use a gift as soon as possible.
Oh, she had questions. Many questions. So many. All of them went through her mind as she looked at her surroundings wide-eyed through the shutter shades. Divisions? Higher Ups? Cove? Weapon? So many things, but the most important one she focused on was the one that had been expressed last, because it seemed to be the one that had an immediate effect on her.
"Okay, first? Are you gonna be here when I get back? 'Cause I've got like, thirteen other questions and that's not including follow-ups." Harley started, holding her hand in the air as if calling out to a teacher, the other one pinned to her side close enough to hold a handful of her sweatpants. "But for now, how the blazes do you hear a weapon?"

"Sure, I'll stick around, if you like." Any chanced to chat up pretty girls was worth his time. "We'll grab terrible coffee, and I'll answer as much as I can." Her question made him laugh, not even considering hiding the surprise from her. "They'll talk to you, and only you. All inside your mind." He answered honestly. "It will be a voice only you can hear. A hunter's weapon will bond with their hunter, and that's what makes us stronger than normal humans." "Although, I will warn you. It's difficult to get used to." Vahn was a rather grouchy weapon from the start. His attitude carried strong every day, always bitching about Dylon's extroverted lifestyle.

"Sa-weet~" For more reasons than one, really. Her gaze then pinned on Dylon, staring at him thoughtfully for a long moment or two; the weapons talked? Like, in your head? Only to you? That was...
"Kinda annoying?" She suggested, suddenly second guessing the whole weapon thing. Surely it wasn't needed, right? Which was a downright lie, considering what fragments of battle her memory could piece together. She wrinkled her nose and tilted her head to the side, her train of thought propelling her down another, probably more uncomfortable path.
"So they're like, always in your head and stuff? Wouldn't it be weird when you..." She made a useless noise and an even unusual gesture to indicate a potentially awkward conversation, which ended with her linking her fingers together with the head of her palms pressing hard against one another. Another thought dawned on her. "...Is that the last time I take a bathroom break alone?" She shuddered a little bit at the thought.

"A little annoying, yeah." Dylon laughed, "But you do get used to it. It kinda becomes like a part of yourself. It's only awkward for the first little while." He hesitated to say it was like having two personalities, as that would not help anyone here. Her hands gestures made him snort, before giving a full on belly laugh. "Oh for sure! But I've found my own weapon kind of goes into his own little space in my head during that sort of thing." He assured her, still fighting off a giggle. "Yes, it was. Last time. But, without that weapon, you can't physically survive on the island. Or in many of the places we'll go as hunters. So it's a minor inconvenience." He patted her shoulder, "Don't worry. It isn't as bad as it all sounds. Trust me." Another winning smile was thrown at her in hopes of soothing her over.

Well, life was about to get...interesting...
"Damn. If I'd've known..." If she had known, though, what would she have done? Enjoyed the bathroom a little more? Realistically, she knew nothing else would have changed. But still, the thought was nice. Her linked hands parted and fell, swinging once before clapping together very quietly in front of her thighs.
"Sooo, guess I have no choice, then?" She could put two and two together, and hummed a moment as she thought. Then, she gestured down the hallway that lead to the cove with a thumb. "That way, yeah?" Blue eyes turned to look, lifting the shutter shades to rest on her head. Her cheeks puffed out before letting out a sigh so heavy it vibrated her lips.
"I guess...I'll be back, then?" She took a step towards it, and a second, then a third, before turning to look at him. "Remember, you said you'd wait!" She pointed at him, demanding the world, before turning and running down the hall towards the cove.
If she was going to do this? She was going to do this full tilt.

This was her first time being back since she woke up...and it wasn't something she wanted to do often. Sleeper pod duty was eerie. Just rows upon rows of potential sleeping hunters, who may or may not wake up. A walk up and down a few rows had been enough for her, and luckily she had good company to pass the time with. The trainee was currently seated in a chair, precariously balancing it on its back legs as her feet sat propped on a small table nearby. Her arms were crossed and her gaze lidded as her eyes slid over to Chance. "I think the welcome gift to Deus should be a complimentary bottle of lube." She started. "Along with: welcome, here you are, to make it easier to get ******** up the a** for the inevitable bend over." Her lips quirked up briefly. "Generous, no?"

Like Claude, Chance hadn't been back into the pod room since he'd woken up himself. The duty shifts just hadn't worked out that way, which was actually kind of a bummer since Chance was actually kind of interested in learning about the new recruits, however eerie it was.
Pod duty when no one was waking up, however, was incredibly dull, but at least he had company.
Chance was sitting across the same table in almost exactly the same position: chair tilted back, feet propped up, hands linked behind his head. He slid a sideways glance at Claude and snorted in amusement.
"Make sure you include some ointment," he added, lips quirking upwards in a smirk.

The first coherent thought that came from his mind was sensory.
His mouth tasted dry, as if saliva hadn't formulated in it for a long time. The second thought was the aches, as his arms and legs slowly came to wake. He didn't bother messing with them, especially not stupidly wiggling fingers or toes. That s**t hurt and he wasn't prepared to deal with what was going on and pain on top of it.
There was a soft whoosh of air as the pod opened, but Cameron laid there and waited.
If this was like predator or alien movies, he was best put in the pod and hoping it closed in mistake of him opening.
He rose a brow though as voices trickled around, but was he curious enough to see? Not really.

"Now that's very generous." Claude replied, and was about to say something else when she paused. A sound disturbed the macabre atmosphere she'd been used to these past few hours. It was soft, but it was distinct. She looked at Chance, and silently lowered her chair back to the ground until it was resting on all its legs once more. A brow quirked, and she quietly rose from her chair and moved towards the aisle where she heard the hiss. Spotting the open pod door, Claude looked back at Chance and jabbed a thumb to indicate a live one, and started to move down the aisle towards the open pod. "Go back to sleep." Claude drawled, giving whoever was in a heads up there was company coming his or her way.

"I am nothing if not a kind and generous soul," Chance deadpanned, but he and Claude both knew very well that most of the time it was the direct opposite.
He hadn't heard what the other had, but once Claude pointed out, a look of understanding appeared on Chance's face. He slowly lowered his chair back down to the ground, sliding his feet to the floor and stood up, stretching his arms up above his head to work out some of the kinks.
A lazy smile flitted onto his face.
"Good morning, sunshine," he stage whispered.

"I'm trying." He reached up, when he felt his arms had woken enough and hissed at the small pins and needles feeling. His fingers bumped his glasses and he sighed a little. Well, he would see well then. The first voice, a deeper sort of females, the one you want whispering in your ear after a long day.
The other was a whisper and he wondered if it was someone who was worried.
Instead he continued to lay there and crossed his arm, they were going to come to him, Again. Safer in the pod until said otherwise.
"But since I am awake, can you casually explain to me the location and predicament I am in at the moment? If you know what it is?"

Claude would vouch that Chance did have a kind and generous bone in his body, he did offer to make her curry, after all. Ah, okay, male from the sound of it. Claude walked by first, and came to stand in front of the pod, to Cameron's left, to leave room for Chance on his right. She stood a few feet away and crossed her arms, to give him ample space to amble out. Her eyes were lidded and she looked less than amused, but she did give the newly awakened sleeper a once over...and it wasn't bad. Not bad at all. Plus he was tall. Always a bonus. Her lips quirked up briefly at his question. "Your location is hell, and your predicament is ********." She dead panned, and the slid her gaze over to her Sun companion. "He wants it casual. That's you, Chance." Totally passed that off on him. Perfect.

Chance leaned casually against the pod, one arm used to prop his chin up as he peered down at the man inside. Tall and broad shouldered, and looking somewhat disgruntled; in other words, semi-normal behavior for someone newly awakened on Deus.
"What she said." Chance jerked a thumb in Claude's direction, and then pressed his lips together, rolling his eyes at her. He flipped her the bird (in a friendly sort of way), and then added mildly, "Cliff Notes version: you've been recruited to a militaristic institution where you will now be bonded to a weapon and use it to fight all manner of things creepy and crawly."
There was a short pause.
"And you get a cool coat."

"Charming." He frowned at the woman, "I particularly like the creativeness in your words and imagery." His gaze moved to the man's and he stared.
"Ah yes, I remember the sales pitch now. Save the world. Become a hunter." He scoffed, "Something about dealing with the shadows that haunt me." He sounded bored as he pushed himself up and out of the pod, and got a good eyeful of the pair.
"I suppose the benefits of the moment, out weight the cons." He ran his hand through his hair, "And I've particular enjoyed the coats so far." He was fond of the pirate-esque of the female, but the man wasn't bad either.
He smiled at them, much like a snake would.
"Are you both my welcoming party? Don't I get some sort of medical check to make sure all my parts are together and working?" He slid a hand over his buttoned shirt, "I like Casual......" He slid his gaze from Claude to Chance and it was very obvious what he was getting at.
