♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri slept somewhat fitfully that night. He couldn't exactly classify his the disturbances in his sleep as 'nightmares' but they weren't particularly pleasant either. Maria's face seemed to crop up here and their in his dreams, always wearing that same hurt expression. Twice during the night, he woke up, made uncomfortable by one of the dreams. But some time later, he fell into a sleep too deep to remember his dreams.
When Dimitri woke up, it was slowly. He was aware only vaguely of laying on his back, and then, he slowly opened his eyes. The sun was already bright, pushing though the canvas top of the tent. Grogily, he rolled over onto his side and looked at Kedrick, who was lying on his stomach, the sleeping bag tangled around his feet, his eyes still closed. Dimitri smiled slightly at the sight of him, looking so utterly comical with his mouth slightly open and his arms wrapped tightly around his pillow. Smiling felt a little bit forgin at the moment, and Dimitri had to think for a moment before he remember what had happened a few hours previously. He frowned slightly as he recalled the details, and then looked up, making a snap decision. This camping trip was supposed to be fun, and it had been so far, but he wasn't going to let what happened last night bother him. Dimitri smirked and prodded Kedrick's shoulder. "Heeeey," He said quietly, "Wake up..." Dimitri scowled a little as Kedrick hardly stirred. He reached over, grabbing Kedrick's wrist and turning it so he could see his watch. Dimitri blinked in surprise. He knew they had stayed up late the night before, but he certainly hadn't expected them to sleep till mid-morning. It was almost ten o'clock already.Kedrick moaned slightly as Dimitri seized his wrist, pulling it out from under him. "Mhhhhh..." Kedrick blinked himself awake 'Mhhh?' That hadn't come out right. He had meant to say something along the lines of 'Dimitri, shove off and let me sleep.' He groaned again, propping himself up on one elbow and squinting at Dimitri. "Dem...Whadd'you doing?" He asked groggily. "Checking your watch," Dimitri replied, dropping his wrist and sitting up more. "Come on, rise and shine sleeping beauty, we didn't come camping to sleep!" He said cheerfully, crawling across the tent floor on hands and knees and unzipping his duffel, rummaging around for a change of clothing.Kedrick smiled sleepily. 'that's Dimitri for you...always a fast healer...' "Alright, he said, sitting up and running his hands through his hair. Kedrick didn't bother to dig for a fresh outfit for the day, he figured that could happen later. He was curious to see if the girl's where awake yet. He crawled over to he tent entrance and unzipped it, sticking his head out and looking around. A layer of dew clung to the entire campsite, the remains of the fire from the night before still smoking. Kedrick looked up as the sky, it was a bit more overcast that yesterday, a layer of thick, white cloud masking the blue of the sky. But it was mild, and the air was fresh. Kedrick stood, stretching gratefully. Dimitri came out behind him, a bundle of clothing under his arm, apparently ready to change once they got around to going up to the shower house at the top of the hill. He too glanced up that the sky thoughtfully. "You think we might get rain?" He asked mildly.Kedrick shrugged. "Maybe, weather report said we might, but you know what," He said, looking over at his friend with a smile. "I think that would be kind of exciting don't you?" Kedrick asked, cocking his head to the side.Dimitri nodded his agreement, smiling, and then walked over and began coxing the small leftover embers in the fire pit back to life. There wasn't much around that hadn't been toughed by the dew, so finding dry kindling was a bit of a trip, but Dimitri managed to get the fire going again, just in case they needed something hot for their late breakfast.

Arielle Shore
Arielle took awhile to wake up. Despite the fact that she wasn't back at the estate in her bed, she was still comfortable in her sleeping bag and enjoyed her rest. However, she new that at some point she'd have to wake up, especially with such fun to be planned.
Slowly, but surely, Arielle sat up from her sleeping bag, rubbing at her eyes. She yawned and stretched and took some time before she finally opened up her eyes. She looked around and saw that Maria was sitting on top of her sleeping bag, already dressed for the day, what she wore neatly folded up. To Arielle, she still looked distant from the rest of the world, but whatever was on her mind soon seemed to vanish as the young girl smiled brightly at her friend.
"It's about time you woke up, sleepyhead," Maria said cheerfully, the bright joy radiating from her face yet again, "I didn't know you were that tired. I was able to wake up, take a walk, and get dressed for today before anyone of you woke up. So, if this was a competition, I so definitely won~."
Arielle giggled and rolled out of her sleeping bag, standing up straight and walking over to Maria's tent. "Glad to see you up and like yourself again, Maria," Arielle said with a warm grin. "If Kedrick isn't beaming happy first thing in the morning to make my day, at least I know that I have you and your cheerful smiles."
Maria smiled and shrugged her shoulders like it was nothing. She was glad she had woken up very early before everyone else. It gave her time to clear her mind and thoughts before being with the rest of the gang for today. Plus, she was also able to puke because of her held in nauseous feeling from the night before.
Just before Maria could say anything to respond to Arielle's warm compliment, she heard the boys voices from outside her tent. At the sound of Dimitri's voice, Maria's heart skipped a beat and she quickly excused herself from Arielle so that she could see him. After last night, Maria just wanted Dimitri to make sure that she was completely fine and he had nothing to worry about anymore. As soon as she saw him, she tackled him from behind and just stayed there, refusing to let go.
"Buenos dias, mi amor~," Maria said in a cheerful, almost flirty Spanish before moving around so that Dimitri could see her. "Did you sleep well last night?"
"Glad to see Maria has her energy again," Arielle said teasingly as she got out of her tent, not realizing that her hair had broken free and some signs of her bed head was apparent. "Good morning, Dimitri. Good morning, Kedrick~."

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Kedrick stepped away for a moment, leaving Dimitri to nurse the small fire. He walked over to his car, a few red and gold leaves had dropped onto the hood over the course of the night and he idly brushed them away before walking around to the back. He opened the trunk and dug a cooler out from under a few bags and plastic totes, pulling the top off. The cooler was full of half melted ice and cold water that was keeping some of their food from spoiling. It sloshed around as Kedrick opened it and dug around inside, finally pulling out a sealed plastic bag of breakfast sausages. Kedrick studied it to make sure it was the right meat, and then nodded his approval, grabbed a heavy iron frying pan, and walked back over to the fire. Dimitri stood up, wiping his arm across his forehead as Kedrick came back. "Well, it's not big, but it'll cook breakfast." He said with a smile, looking over his shoulder at his friend as he returned with the pan and the sausage. "I see you got th-AHHHH!" He let out a cry of shocked alarm as Maria tackle-hugged him from behind. Kedrick's laughter confirmed his thought that it was Maria, and he couldn't help himself. His cry of panic faded to laughed, and Dimitri stood there, Maria latched onto his back, his shoulders shaking with laughter. He looked back over his shoulder, sighing as his laughter abated. "Good morning to you too, Miss me much?" He teased her lightly before turning himself around and kissing her cheek. "I slept fine, I actually only just got up like...ten minutes ago." He said honestly, rubbing the back of his neck.Kedrick smiled, glad to see both his friends acting like themselves again. He walked over to Arielle, the frying pan still hanging from one hand and the sausage from the other. "Morning," He greeted, pecking her lightly on the lips. " I hope you like sausage, I know its late morning but we'll need something to hold us over till lunch, hmm?" He asked, Befor turning back to the fire and putting the pan over the flickering flames. Kedrick reached his hand into the bag, the meat freezing cold from being in the icy water. He very quickly pulled out two of the sausages for each of them and started cooking.
"So," Kedrick said, one the sausages had begun to sizzle in the pan. "What are we planning on doing today?" He looked up at the three of them, hoping they had a good idea for something to do.Dimitri sat down on one of the long logs that lay next to the fire pit, using it as a seat. "Well..." He said slowly, frowning as he concidered his options. "I know their are some great trails around here, we could take a walk and explore a bit." He said, looking back up.Kedrick nodded "Yeah." He said with a smile, "And we can pack a lunch and have a picnic in the woods!" He offered, looking over at the girl's to see what they thought, or if there was anything they wanted to add to the plan.

Arielle Shore
Maria couldn't help the laughter that escaped her lips when Dimitri had cried out in panic from her surprise hug. She was so thrilled to see him in a better mood than yesterday. "Not as much as I usually do," Maria replied back, lightly teasing but meaning it completely. She smiled as he kissed her cheek and giggled lightly when he answered her question.
"Oh, I had been up for awhile. I was up before all of you~," she responded playfully, "So if this was a race, I'd so win~. However, I needed to get up early this morning. I was still feeling a bit nauseous from last night. Such a bummer too... I didn't get to do a solo song."
Arielle found herself giggling at the childish way that Maria was acting. She smiled as Kedrick walked over to her and kissed him back with a gentle grin. "Anything's fine, Kedrick," she responded, "Food shall be food and like you said, it has to hold us until lunch. As long as lunch or dinner will be a huge feast~."
Arielle joined everyone else near the fire and the food as Kedrick asked what they wanted to do that day. Arielle had no preference actually since she was willing to go alone with what everyone else wanted to do. In all honesty, she wasn't sure what else she actually wanted to do despite the fact a lot of things could be done while camping.
At Dimitri's suggestion, the two girls looked at each other and grinned. Despite the fact that it might look like it would rain, a walk sounded nice, and maybe the weather would get better too. Even Kedrick's suggestion of eating out at a picnic sounded wonderful and when he looked over at them to see if they agreed, it was Arielle who spoke first.
"I think that's a wonderful idea," Arielle agreed, "And maybe I can hunt down some things to preserve for like a scrap book or something. You know, to always keep the memories alive?"
"That sounds awesome too," Maria readily agreed, "And then I can see you and Kedrick telling your children about the wonderful adventures that we had during this week. As for me, I got to walk on one of the trails when you were all asleep. It's really easy to get around on as well."
"So I guess it's settle then?" Arielle asked, looking back at the boys, fixing her hair some.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Kedrick smiled as the girl's seemed to concur with he and Dimitri's plan. Kedrick though it would be a wonderful to pull some things together for a scrap book, it would be something they could look back at even after many years and be able to remember the fun they had. He looked over his shoulder at where Dimitri was still perched on the log. "What trail should we take hmmm? You should remember some after all." He said with a smile. Dimitri frowned, rolling his eyes skyward as he thought. He thought back as far as he could, trying to think of some of the trails his mother had taken him on when they had gone camping here. But it wasn't easy, as a little kid, Dimitri had thought that there was much more exciting things to be doing while camping then walking down a trail. He would have rather been swimming, or fishing, so he didn't clearly remember any of the trails or where they lead. His frown deepen and Dimitri rubbed his chin, still thinking. Finally, Dimitri vaguely remembered the head of a trail, just a little bit down the shore of the lake. He remembered it being a long trail, or, long from a seven year old perspective. "I thought of one," He said, looking back up. "There's a nice trail up along the shore of the lake, then you cut up into the woods, and it takes you nice and deep in there." He said, describing as best as he could from the foggy memory. Kedrick smiled as Dimitri described the trail, and nodded his head. "It sounds great, we can take that one." He peered over the edge of the pan, seeing that their breakfast was just about ready. The skin on the sausage had gotten to the perfect shade of brown, and the where sizzling hot, hissing and crackling in their own juice. "Breakfast's ready," He called, looking back again at Dimitri. "Hey Dem, grab me some paper plate okay? Before they burn!" He pointed with his free hand to were he had left the stack of paper plate. Dimitri stood quickly, dashing over and snatching the paper plates, he wanted nothing to do with the thought of his breakfast being burnt. "Here," He said, thrusting them at Kedrick. The blond took the plates, serving up the sausages, putting two on each plate. Dimitri took the plates as they where served up, and he walked over to the girl's holding out the first two to them. "Here, eat up." He said with a smile, and then returned to Kedrick to pick up his own plate.
With food in hand, Dimitri sat back down on the log, crossing one leg over the other and letting his plate sit on his knee. Dimitri eat slowly, not wanting to eat so much that he wouldn't enjoy their lunch. It was, after all, late morning, and they would be eating again in less then three hours. Dimitri assumed that why his friend hadn't made too much in the first place. Kedrick sat cross legged on the ground with his food, chewing thoughtfully. "okay," He said, seeming to be thinking up a list in his head. "We're going to need sneakers, stuff for a picnic lunch,""Bug spray," Dimitri put in, swallowing a mouthful of sausage. Kedrick nodded. "Suntan lotion," He said with a smirk, knowing that his pale, easily burnt friend would need it. "Anything else girls?" He asked, fairly well figuring that they'd think of some that they had overlooked. Girls where kind of like that, a guy would think of the basic practicalities, and the girls figured out the little, but no less important details.

"And we could probably check out a different trail everyday since there's so much of this place to explore," Maria suggested with a soft grin as Dimitri tried to remember a trail that would be good enough for them to go on since he was the only one that had been there before. Maria remembered the trail she had walked on earlier that morning while everyone else was asleep to clear her mind. It was closer to the camp, which was a good thing for her. She knew that Dimitri didn't need to wake up after being worried about her last night to be in a state of panic had she not found her way back in enough time.
"I'd love to do that with you, Maria," Arielle said, "Plus, like you said, there's a lot to explore here and this week was worth it. And maybe we can find... Hmmm... I actually have no idea."
Maria giggled and would've said something when Dimitri finally thought of a trail that he could remember. She had briefly noticed how he thought really hard to remember something that he hadn't had to deal with since he was a kid, so she immediately appreciated the fact that he had something in his memory. The description was a bit vague, but it was enough for her to go on.
"I'm so excited to go on this trail~," Arielle said cheerfully, "But even more excited about breakfast."
"When aren't you excited for anything?" Maria asked teasingly as she found somewhere for her to sit while the boys helped get their plates and food together. Arielle sat next to her and the two of them just looked around, admiring as much as they could.
"Try not to hurt Kedrick with the plates, Dimitri," Arielle said, although giggling when he threw them to Kedrick. The smell of the sausages made her stomach growl gently and she placed a hand on her stomach as if to silence her stomach.
When the plates were filled and served to them, both girls thanked Dimitri and began eating their breakfast. As they were enjoying their breakfast, they listened as Dimitri and Kedrick tried to make sure they weren't forgetting anything, and when it came to their turn, they just looked at each other before being silent.
"I think you got everything," Maria said as she chewed on a piece of her sausage, I think we're just about good. What do you think, Arielle?"
"First aid kits and water bottles?" Arielle suggested, "You know, just in case someone's clumsy to fall and hurt themselves. And we'll need to stay hydrated if we're hiking, no?"
"By clumsy, you mean, you, no?" Maria asked with a playful smirk as she gently bumped Arielle's shoulder before they began giggling.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ "Ah!" Kedrick looked up, a smile playing on his lips. "I suppose water is kind of important." He joked lightly, smiling. He knew that he and Dimitri would have forgotten something, so it was a good thing that the girls where in on the planning. Dimitri snicked as the two girls exchanged comments about needing a first aid kit in case of minor accidents. He doubted they'd run into any major trouble, but there was always a possibility. "Well then," Dimitri said, setting aside his now empty plate. "Since it is late morning already, and we'll have a good long hike before we break for lunch, we ought to start pulling our supplied together soon, no?" He asked, and then snicked slightly to himself, realizing just how much of a 'Maria thing' that was. Kedrick finished the last bite of his sausage and nodded his head once in agreement. "Right," He said, standing up and tossing the paper plate in the flickering fire. The little flame eat at the paper greedily, first wrinkling and browning the edges, and then making large, black-edged holes eat away at it until there was nothing left.
Kedrick brushed off his hands, turning towards his friends and girlfriend. "If you girls want to pull together the lunch you can choose whatever you want from the trunk of my car. I know there's lunch meat in there if you wanted sandwiches...potato salad, chips, I know there are some baby carrots in there..." He paused, trying to think of what other food he had packed. "There's the bottled water if you wanted to grab on for each of us, I'm pretty sure they're apples, maybe banana's."
Kedrick looked over at Dimitri "Then you and I can pull together everything else, I know the bug spray and suntan lotion is in your car." he said, jerking his thumb towards Dimitri's old car. There really wasn't much too it, just a little, hand-me-down car that had see better days and more gentle use. Dimitri nodded, pulling his keys out of his pocket. "Okay, best get started then."

"What do you mean it's "kind of important"?" Maria asked teasingly, "Water is the most important thing in the entire world!"
"Take a chill pill, Maria," Arielle cautioned with a light smirk, "We don't need you spazzing before we even start on our hike. Maybe you being up earlier than the rest of us made you lose a few of your screws. Perhaps you need to go back to sleep?"
Maria rolled her eyes as she took a bite of her last sausage, the link sticking out from her mouth. She took it out and held it between her fingers like she had seen people do with their cigarettes. "As if, chica," Maria said, waving off her friend's comment. "It's just me being me~."
She turned her attention when Dimitri spoke and found herself grinning. She nodded her head in agreement and stood up and stretched. She was looking forward to the hike as well as the rewarding picnic that would happen later. She dropped her paper plate into the fire and watched it slowly disappear as the flames did their job.
"Sure, that sounds like a good idea," Arielle said as she set her empty plate into the fire, "And we'll make sure that it's enough for a wonderful and filling feast. What better way to reward a long hike then to eat something delicious and filling? Plus, if I remember correctly, I'm sure we packed that in the trunk before we left."
"Okay then," Maria said with a light nod, "Ladies and gentleman, to your stations~. Operation preparation for the best hike and picnic ever is officially a go~!"
Arielle smiled and followed after Maria who was already making her way over to Kedrick's car. On the walk over, Arielle quickly thought about what she could wear today, even though it wasn't that important of an issue to worry about.

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri nodded to the girls, a smile breaking out on his lips. "Alright, off we go." He said with a smirk, and smacked Kedrick shoulder lightly, waving for him to follow him over to the car. The two boys walked over to Dimitri's beat-up car. circling around to the back so they could open the trunk. Dimitri ran his hand over the side of the car as they walked, feeling placed where the paint had gotten scratched over the years. The dark haired boy clicked a button on his car keys. The little sedan beeped once, and Dimitri hauled open the trunk. Dimitri's trunk wasn't packed to overflowing like Kedrick's, but there was still a good pile of stuff crammed into the back. Did you organize this at all?" Kedrick asked his friend, looking over at him and cocking an eyebrow. Dimitri seemed to think on this for a moment, and then decisively shook his head. "Nope, just kind of threw it in." He said with an apologetic smile. Dimitri reached in, and tossed him one of the bags. "Better start looking!" He said cheerfully, pulling out his own duffel to paw through for the things they had been sent to find. Kedrick caught the bag that Dimitri had thrust at him, frowning slightly. He turned the backpack over in his hands, studying it. The backpack itself could be useful. Kedrick imagined that the girl's would pack their lunch in the wicker basket that was there in the trunk of his car, but this backpack could easily be used to carry the water, suntan lotion, bug spray, etc...He unzipped the backpack, and began to pull out it's contents, setting them back in Dimitri's trunk. He was unsuccessful in finding the bug spray. Dimitri on the other hand, had managed to find the suntan lotion on his first dig. He paused a moment, uncapping it and squeezing a small dot into his hand. One a day like today, there was no real sunlight to speak of, but the ultraviolet lights seeped right through the clouds. This was the worst kind of day to get a sunburn. Dimitri rubbed the small dot of sunscreen onto the back of his neck, smearing the left-over onto his cheekbones, nose and the tops of his ears. He arms didn't burn so easily as his face and neck, so there was no real need to put anything there. Dimitri looked at the pile of stuff in his car, thinking of how much it was like an archeological dig. He glanced over, and saw Kedrick throwing things out of a backpack and back into the trunk of the car. "What are you doing!" He demanded, beginning to pick up the object that Kedrick was pitching into his already messy trunk. "Have you gone mental? I have to clean this up eventually and you're not helping."Kedrick looked up as he had just emptied the backpack. "Well, we'll need something to carry water bottles in won't we?" He asked, unable to help a smirk at his friend's frustrated expression. Kedrick leaned over and unzipped another duffel, finding the bug spray wedged in beside a pile of extra clothing. He straightened. "Alright, mission accomplished." He said, closing the trunk of the car. "Now, if I'm not mistaken, you and I still need to change into fresh clothing for the day." Dimitri smirked slightly. "Alright, but I call the tent first."

Arielle Shore
The girls didn't say much as they went through Kedrick's car and tried to decide what to pack for the picnic. Arielle was glad that they had a basket to carry the food in and wasn't sure if it had been her idea to bring it or Kedrick's. Regardless of who's idea it was, all she knew was that they were lucky to have it on them.
There was a bit of conversation as they figured out the different things they could do with what they had, wanting to create as many options as possible. In just a matter of minutes, the two friends were able to concoct a wonderful menu that at least everyone could enjoy, as well as making sure there was enough for later as well as when they were at the picnic.
Arielle looked over at Maria and wondered if everything from the night before had been settled, and if that was the reason why she had been up before everyone else. She was even dressed for the day as well.
Normally, Arielle would've pried to figure out if everything was absolutely fine, but she knew that if she did that, the exact opposite could happen and Maria would feel upset again. Then she would never have been able to forgive herself for doing such a thing.
Still..., Arielle thought as she absentmindedly placed things in the basket, I just wish I knew what went on in her head that gave her such a huge switch from perky and cheering up Dimitri to looking like she was ready to cry. I guess I'll get the answer someday.
Maria had to make sure that everything was packed neatly during the time that Arielle seemed to be lost in her own little world. She could tell that there was something going on in her friend's mind, and wasn't far from assuming that it was most likely about last night.
A very faint frown appeared on her face and she knew that at some point that she should talk to Arielle about how she felt, especially since it seemed easier to release any kind of built up tension on her friend. Plus, she knew that Arielle could help guide her along the right direction so that she didn't feel completely lost.
When they had finished with everything, Maria closed the basket and took it in her hands. She looked over at Arielle and gently pulled on her hair before grinning. "Alright chica," Maria started with a grin, "It's about time that you get ready for the day. I'll make sure to keep an eye on the food. Besides, a nice shower is a wonderful way to clear your thoughts."
Arielle blinked and looked over at Maria before smiling at her. It always seemed like to her that Maria always knew the right thing to say, and along with that, she had the feeling that Maria knew what was bothering her and that maybe they would talk about it at some point. She nodded and fixed her hair some, pulling it back into a ponytail.
"Yeah," Arielle responded gently as she closed Kedrick's trunk, "That's always a wonderful solution for things."

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri left Kedrick to pack the water bottle, sun screen, and bug spray into the backpack. He headed over to he and Kedrick's tent, unzipping the door and stepping in. Once inside, Dimitri knelt down on the canvas floor, zipping the door closed behind him and making sure the windows where zipped closed as well. Satisfied that no one would accidentally see him, Dimitri stripped off yesterday's clothing and picked up the clothing that he had pulled out of his duffel earlier that day. He smoothed out the wrinkles, studying them to make sure they'd work well for a day of hiking.
Dimitri had chosen a pair of practical, knee length khaki shorts, a dark T-shirt, and a gray jacket with a red and black barbed wire pattern printed across it. He nodded to himself, finding the clothing still to his liking. With in a few minutes, Dimitri had dressed and stepped out of the tent as he zipped up the front of the light jacket. It was a warm enough day, but under the thick shade of the forest, it might get a bit chilly. Kedrick glanced up as his friend came out of the tent. "My turn?" He asked, canting his head to the side. He saw Dimitri nod his assent, and Kedrick pulled himself up from where he had been sitting by the fire. "Great," He said with a sigh, knowing that it would feel very good to get out of the clothing he had been in since yesterday evening. His shirt had a distinct smoky smell from last nights campfire. It wasn't a bad smell, but Kedrick enjoyed the feeling of being in fresh clothing. He took Dimitri's place in the tent, and soon came out, dressed in jean short and a dark blue logo T-shirt with white lettering.
He glanced around, wondering what the girl's had gotten up to. He hadn't seen hide nor hair of then since they had gone to pack their lunches. "Hey Dem, you seen the girls?" he asked curiously, frowning curiously as he looked around. He knew they wouldn't have gone to face, but he would like to know. Dimitri shrugged, poking at the fire with a stick. "I didn't see them go so to speak, but I heard them talking about a shower." He said, glancing up at Kedrick, who had taken a seat next to him. Kedrick nodded, looking back over his shoulder at the path that lead to the shower house. "We'll just have to hang out and wait here for a few minutes then." He said with a smile, looking up at the white sky. It was so odd to look at. When you looked at the sky, you expected to see blue, but it was now a strange, flat white. There wasn't a sliver of blue to be seen between the clouds, but in an odd sort of way, it was pretty.

Arielle Shore
"I didn't know you had such good hearing Dimitri," Maria teased as she walked over to the boys, carrying the basket and Arielle following closely beside her. She sat the basket down and leaned so that her chin was resting on top of Dimitri's forehead. "Were you boys beginning to miss our presence~?"
Arielle giggled and walked over to Kedrick, ruffling his hair. "Sorry it's taking us so long. We spent a lot of time making sure that today's lunch for the picnic could be as perfect as can be. Plus, we showered last night so we don't have to wait for me taking one. Maria and I were just talking about stuff. That's all."
"You shouldn't have had to explain yourself, Ari~," Maria said with a giggle as she wrapped her arms around Dimitri from behind, the side of her head now leaning on top of Dimitri's. "If Dimitri was able to hear us talk about showers then he should be able to recount what else was discussed by the two of us." With swift movements, Maria sat her head up and twisted around Dimitri so that she was sitting on his lap with a grin that only she could muster. "Am I not right, Dimitri~?"
Arielle rolled her eyes and giggled before plopping down beside Kedrick. She knew that she should've worked on getting dressed and ready, but somehow she wanted to be present to see how things turned out. "Watch out Dimitri," Arielle said in a playful tone, "Next thing you know, she'll start asking you what she wants for Christmas."
"Why would I do such a thing~?" Maria said, pretending to sound appalled by only grinned and leaned her head on Dimitri again. "If anything, all I want for Christmas from you all is just to be together. The four of us as really good friends. Nothing else could make me happier than to be with my wonderful boyfriend and the best friends in the world. However, Christmas is no time soon so we don't have to worry about that now."
"I know, I know," Arielle said with a slight shrug of her shoulders, "But the way you were just sitting on Dimitri's lap made me think of kids asking for a gift from Santa. Even though, when you do that with Eneas or Ulises, usually it's for a favor because they owed you for something, and when we were younger, she would sit on her dad's lap and look at her with her big eyes and ask to come with him to the station whenever something big was going on. Should I take it that the same somehow applies here?"
Maria giggled, knowing how well that her reasons for sitting on someone's laps were always different and didn't blame Arielle for noticing them all. When she asked if sitting on Dimitri's lap had any special meaning, Maria just grinned and nuzzled her head against his chest. "It's just the happiness of having him so close to me. That's all," Maria answered with a faint lovesick smile on her face.
(I have no idea what in the world I was typing XD. But it was entertaining =3=)

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri glanced up as he felt Maria's chin on the top of his head, and heard her commenting on his hearing and her question. He merely snorted under his breath to the comment about his hearing, but responded a moment later to her question "Of course we missed you," He joked lightly, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "You two complete our quartet ."Kedrick smiled as Arielle ruffled his hair. It was such a cute, familiar gesture that he couldn't help but smile. "Well, Now you've gotten me all excited, what's lunch?" He asked, but before he was hardly finished, Maria was speaking again, and a snort of laughter escaped Kedrick lips as he saw her slide onto Dimitri's lap, her arms draped around his neck. Dimitri blinked, startled as Maria placed herself in his lap and grinned at him. His cheeks heated up ever so slightly, just the tiniest tinge of pink in his pale face. Truth be told, he hadn't heard the whole conversation, just the small snippet about the shower on his way to pick up a few more sticks for the fire. He laughed, rubbing the back of his neck. "I hate to burst your bubble, but no, actually..." He said, still smiling. "I had just walked over in that direction to get a little more wood for the fire, the whole thing about the shower was about the only thing I caught." Kedrick smiled at the talk about Christmas, deciding right then and there that the four of them would have to spend Christmas together at the estate. He could just imagine it, the estate, all lit up with multicolored Christmas light, a big evergreen tree right in the middle of the living room, and of course, all kinds of presents under the tree. Kedrick could vividly picture the bright blues, greens, and reds of the wrapping paper. Cookies and eggnog was also a must. He looked back at Arielle, roused from his thoughts enough that he saw the conversation had turned back to Maria. Dimitri smirked as Maria nuzzled his head against his chest and he wrapped his arms loosely around her shoulder. "I don't mind in the least." He said, resting his chin on the top of her head. As a little kid, as many little kid do, Dimitri had scorned the idea of romance. Girl's where gross and had cooties, so the idea of kissing one was revolting to the little boy. His mother had told him that he'd think differently as he got older, and he had been determined not to. But now, Dimitri couldn't imagine that he had ever thought in such a way.
He smiled slightly to himself, feeling Maria's shoulders rise and fall rhythmically as she breathed. He tipped his chin up slightly, looking over at Kedrick and Arielle. "So Arielle," He said, coming back to Kedrick's earlier question. "What did you and Maria pack for our lunch?"

Arielle Shore
"Well I'm glad we have some kind of special purpose with you two," Maria returned in a joking manner. "Not what I had in mind, but I guess it'll have to do~."
Arielle found herself smiling back at Kedrick, even though she was most likely already smiling. Just being around all of them made her happy and somehow she never seemed to stop smiling. She opened her mouth to respond when she stopped, noticing that everyone's attention was now on Maria and Dimitri.
Maria giggled at the reaction Dimitri had when she sat in his lap. There was something adorable about how his face colored against his pale skin when he was embarrassed. She pretended to look disappointed when Dimitri answered that he had no idea besides catching the topic of showers, she sighed playfully and shrugged and shoulders. "There you go getting my hopes up again, Dimitri," Maria said in a mock hurt tone, "How could you do that to sweet little old me~?"
Arielle giggled and looked over at Kedrick when he somehow managed to get lost in thought and smiled back at him before Dimitri and Maria started talking again. She blinked in surprise when Dimitri returned the topic back to their lunch for the picnic, and had to give the answer some thought.
"Well... I'm not sure if I should say~. It's a surprise really," Arielle answered with a light giggle.
(Meh... Brain dying... Lack of sleep... Might fix this post later =3=.)

♟♞ ♝ ♜ ♛ Ҝәɖʁϊϲҝ Ś. Śűѿą & Ďȋɱȋŧʁȋ Ĵ. ᾟűηŧȇʁ ♛ ♜ ♝ ♞ ♟ Dimitri snickered at Maria's pouting, it was so cute he couldn't help himself. He took her chin his his hand, tipping her face up so she was looking him in the eyes. "C'mmon Maria, don't be like that," He chided, his tone caught somewhere between teasing a flirtatious. He smirked, thriving on this kind of thing. Dimitri doubted that he'd ever be completely rid of his flirtatiousness, he had tried, and Kedrick had tried, but it just didn't work. Kedrick smiled, looking over at Arielle. She seemed to be teasing the answer of what they where having for lunch just out of their reach, and Kedrick nudged her playfully. "Alright then," Since you wont spill, we'd better get walking so Dem and I don't have to wait in suspense for too long." He said, winking at her. Dimitri smirked, agreeing heartily with Kedrick's idea. He knew the sausages that Kedrick had made for their late breakfast wouldn't hold him for long, and now that his circuitous had be piqued, he wanted to see their lunch. Dimitri took a moment to plant a kiss on Maria's cheek before he took her arms, standing her to her feet. "Up you go," He said quietly, standing up as well. "I hate to dump you off like that, but Kedrick's right, if we want to find a good picnic spot by noon, we'll have to get started." He bent over, pulling his sneakers on over his socks. Dimitri wasn't crazy about shoes, they cramped his feet to much, so he had put off getting them on until the last minute. He straightened again, a small smile tugging at his lips. "Are we ready then?" He asked, stuffing his hands in his pockets and rocking back on his heels.
