((Nuu, Haro has depth and is too lovely to hate. ;3; ))

"Mmm... Dad will send my stuff once he realises I'm gone. Maybe... a day or so. He's pretty quick on the up take... very organized... If he doesn't notice it himself, one of his inferiors will tell him... they do things like that," he said with a bit of a shrug, showing that he didn't quite understand but that it was a good enough explanation. He handed one of the forks back to Wei, gesturing for him to take the second plate as well, and then sat down with his food and began to eat.

[[-boos at school- D<]]

"Eh, that was your dad...who you called last night, right?" Wei asked, picking at a piece of egg before looking up with a less than interested expression. He didn't particularly want to bring up what had happened last night only because he didn't want the kitten's curiosity to peak...the snake didn't want to answer those sorts of questions because he didn't have answers to them. Why did he do the things he did? Hell if he knew...

He recalled several times where Lou had murmured something about how his head wasn't quite right. Not the shape or physical aspects of it at all, but something inside was more than just a bit wrong.

"You don't treat people...the way they should be treated." He had said with those sad, blue-grey eyes, looking remarkably tired as he pushed a strand of dulled blonde hair from his face.

"How the ******** do you know how people should be treated? You're less human than me."

Lou pissed him off.
He hadn't grown up with other humans.
He hadn't ever met any part of his family.
He didn't know the first thing about being a ******** human and yet he seemed to be...someone that other humans would like to be around, much unlike himself.

Green eyes dropped as that pathetic look in the other's eyes intensified to something along the lines of pity. "I'll...-" What would he do? He couldn't help himself half the time...and- "I'll try... I guess," he mumbled, curling arms around himself, watching with a sullen gaze as the blonde sighed, clearly beside himself as to what in the world he would do with the snake.

----

He had hoped Shin would agree with him, only because he didn't really want to leave the other's side right then. He had too many questions he wanted to ask, and who better to interrogate than Shin? Well, he could think of a few people but those certain people were no where near him and the tiger was nice...and hopefully didn't think he was too dense...

"Mn, well they-...they weren't all my friends but I'd...like to at least say good bye to...one of them," he explained, turning determined eyes towards the door once more. Skipping towards the entrance, the boy fiddled with the lock for a moment or so, fingers slipping as he jiggled it this way and that. Finally, the boy used both hands to turn the bolt all the way around until he heard a satisfying click. "There was this really cute puppy too, I think you'd like him," he murmured, looking back for a moment with precious smile, golden eyes squinted up gently as he pushed open the front door with one hand.

Liao nodded. "Yeah... Dad... he's a doctor," he murmured with a small shrug. "Akizawa is one of our clients... I... hadn't realised that you knew him..." he said, looking curious. "How... how do you know him?" he asked, unable to stop himself. "It's just... you... don't seem to be like two people likely to get along... I... don't know either of you... at all, really, but that's how it seems to me," he explained, soft grey eyes staring down at his plate. His cut himself some more omlette and ate it, his expression thoughtful.

**

Shin smiled and held the door open for the slender youth, closing and locking it behind them. "Mmm... well, if you say so, I probably will. Although, he may not like me because I smell like cat," he said, a slight grin on his lips. He didn't ask who 'one of them' was. He would find out eventually and... he doubted - well, hoped - that Haro wouldn't perhaps... be too attatched to that one... In his own way, Shin was becoming very posessive of Haro.

Wei stiffened visibly, his grip tightening ever so slightly on his fork as he tensed at the series of questions. He sighed heavily, relaxing a bit as he finally mustered up whateve was in him to admit, "I don't know 'im at all. I jus' know he took something very...important of mine," he murmured with a hint of a wicked grin.

----

"Oh I'm sure he'll like you. I think he'd like anyone that can hold him right, he's really squirmy," the boy assured the older teen in a gentle sort of tone, turning his bright gaze towards the city. He hoped they'd be able to find the pet store easily enough...Although the store didn't hold the best memories, he- it would be different now. He wouldn't have to fear being stuck in some cage ever again if he stayed in this form.

"Nn, so...which way to that book place you were at?" He asked, looking back at Shin with a gleaming smile, looking ever so pleased with himself for reasons unknown.

"Really...?" he asked, confused. Akizawa didn't seem the type to steal... or even to borrow without asking. He was very... courteous. Or, at least, that was Liao's impression of him. After all, he didn't know the tiger - or, in fact, even that he was a tiger. As far as Liao knew, Shin was a human - a polite, quiet, edgy and distant human.

**

"Well... if you're sure," he said, his tone as light as his smile. He wrapped his arm back around the other's neck. It was quite cold, after all. Cold enough to make his breath rise up in white, smoke-like, puffs. But he loved the cold, fortunately. "You know..." he murmured thoughtfully, "if it continues like this, we'll get snow before long." He seemed quite happy about that. He loved snow.

Wei nodded before adding, "It's kind of a long story, complicated really," he murmured, stabbing at the breakfast for a moment or so. "Not like...he took something that I could jus' buy. ********' play thing snatcher, I swear I'll rip out-" He was talking out loud wasn't he? Coughing lightly, the young man grinned a toothy smile, "Eh, aha, jus' kidding. I would like it back though," he murmured with a sheepish expression.

---

Watching as steam rose from Shin's mouth, Haro then realized he was smoking too! was there a fire in their mouth? The boy held a few careful fingers up to his lips. He doubted it...it didn't feel hot or anything, but... He'd ask Shin about it later. Burying himself against the tiger's side for extra warmth, Haro smiled sweetly, "Can...could we go outside if it snows?" he asked, never having been allowed to venture outdoors when it was cold. Wei wasn't very fond of the cold... He had come up with the most interesting ways to stay warm through the winter, although Haro hadn't always liked the snake's means of staying at a reasonable temperature...

Liao was deffinately unnerved by this and was not at all convinced by the man's poor cover-up. He had been around his parents' falcities enough to recognize such obvious lies. "Right..." he murmured, looking skeptical. He finished off his eggs and took his dishes to think and washed them. Wei was... very strange, to say the least.

**

Shin nodded, happy the other had asked. He had been a little worried tha the other would dislike snow, as he seemed to dislike the cold. "Yes, of course! I... I love snow," he said, his eyes and smile bright with pleasure. He led the other along the sidewalk, across streets and through parking lots until they finally reached the part of town where they had been when they first met. He pointed to a small book store across the street and said, "That's where I was... does this place look at all familiar to you?"

[[I'd be super creeped out if I was Liao. XD I'd be all like, "OMFG. crazyperson!! ;^;"]]

Wei stared down at the half plate of eggs, leaning a hand against his head. That hadn't gone as smoothly as planned. He figured he had been keeping too much stuff on the inside lately, things were starting to seep out. It was frightening for the snake, to say the least. He usually had some sort of control over his actions, and speech- maybe not so much his thoughts, but... He swore he couldn't allow himself to hurt anyone else like he hurt Haro. That was why he needed him. He couldn't let himself hurt this kid or...or Vi or- Haro dealt with it pretty well, and Wei was sure he could make things better if he really tried to care for the scrawney bird... "'M sorry, kitten," he murmured, curling an arm around his head, "I'm f-cked in the head if you didn't already know." His tone was low, and didn't sound very...natural, unlike how the snake usually sounded. It was scaring him, and Wei wasn't easily frightened. He couldn't...he couldn't- Pupils retracting, the young man glanced up at Liao with a shudder, biting into his lip with sharp fangs in an attempt to distract himself. "Really f-cked in th' head."

----

Once the two had reached their supposed destination, Haro glanced around, keeping sleeve covered hands around the tiger's side as he did so. After a moment or so, someting must have clicked...or maybe Haro had recognized a shop or sign, because he instantly untangled himself from Shin and pointed wildly down the street with a bright smile. "Mmm, I came from that way, I'm sure of it," he exclaimed, taking few steps towards the general direction.

((xD Same. Surprisingly enough, Wei is not the weirdest character I've ever encountered in an RP. There's this guy I just atarted RPing with who has a really awesome char named Sick who is mentally deranged, not human, and had fun taking people apart.... He's is very strange and is properly named Sick. xDDD;;; ))

"Mm," was all Liao said. As far as he was concerned, nothing Wei could do could possibly be as bad as what his mother had already done to him. If Wei was mentally unstable, then at least he admitted it because the really crazy ones were the ones who thought they were sane. "Suit yourself, then." He dried his hands on a cloth and stepped silently from the kitchen. "I... need to practice... a bit..." he murmured a little hesitantly. "Is there somewhere I can go to... I don't know, not bother you?"

**

Shin smiled and followed the enthusiastic bird, taking the other's hand in his own. "Let's go find it, then!" he said, releived that the other remembered the place and wasn't completely lost.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 02, 2006 12:19 pm

[[I could've assumed. Wei is fortunatley my most...mental of characters. I don't think I could rp anything worse than him, for me sexually abusive people are...really...mental so yeah... x__x; Taking people apart? Ew to the maxxorz.

If only Liao knew. Dx IF ONLY.]]

"I really don't care." Just leave, please. Leave me. Don't let me hurt you. Leave, god damnit. The man was mentally yelling at the kitten for not fleeing fast enough...well, he wasn't exactly fleeing in the first place...and yet if he knew just what he had done to Haro and to himself he was sure the kid would be packing his things. "Go to your room and lock the door?" He suggested, green eyes looking rather dull as he glanced upward. He needed to smoke something really bad. He got up with a sigh, shoving a hand into his pocket only to find it empty.

"I need to go to the store, feel free to go where you want," he murmured before finding his wallet on the counter.

----

The boy didn't know exactly where he was going, but he had an idea. If this was where Shin had met him then they had to be close. He had remembered...well he couldn't remember exactly but he thought he had just ran as fast as he could down the side walk. Looking at each store as they passed them, the boy's grip around the tiger's hand tightened gently as a most familiar store came into view. He was excited but at the same...he was terribly frightened. But Shin was here...Shin- he wouldn't...he wouldn't...let him be put in a cage again. Quick breaths coming out as small puffs of steam, the boy opened the store's door hesitantly, the familiar jingle of bells sounding as he did so.

Dark orange eyes glanced at the opening door. Customers?! The teen scampered forward with a smile, holding the open for the two boys. "Welcome to Pet World! Are you looking fo anything inparticular?" he asked, guiding the two inside so he could close the door, quirking a brown at the lean boy's terrified expression.

[[Pet world, I'm so original.]]

((I finally finished Sona's art. ;D; It took suuu long. >< *trying to get better at digital art*

Liao nodded, wondering how locking the door would make the sound carry less. Wei... Wei was very strange... "Well... have fun, then," he murmured, walking to the room he was currently using as 'his.' He shut the door and, as the other had instructed, locked it, although he wasn't sure why. He took his precious violin and bow from their case and, after a few minutes of carefully tuning, began to practice a slow, quavering melody that he had only just began to work on.

**

Shin smiled, glad the store had been so easy to find. He looked around with interest, gently squeezing Haro's hand with his own in hopes to reassure the nervous boy. "Oh, no... that's fine..." he said to the shop attendant. "We're just looking..." Cool eyes scanning the rows of cages and their occupants, Shin wondered exactly who Haro's friend was.

[[She told me she was going to ask you to draw Ruehl, and then I laughed at her. :D Tis cute~]]

The young man placed a hand against his head, raking fingers through his black hair before leaving his apartment with a scowl. He hated the cold, and he was sure it would be even colder outside than it was indoors... It agitated him further that he was forcing himself to go outside just to get a pack of cigarettes. He had promised Lou he would stop.

He had broken too many promises.

Stabbing the elavator button, the snake soon found himself on the outside of the apartment, shuffling off towards the heart of the city. He'd be able to find cheap enough cigarettes there somewhere.

----

The young man smiled, nodding as he returned to his spot near the cash register. Eyeing the two with a careful gaze, the light haired man cocked his head to one side. He swore...something- Shaking his head, the man amused himself by fixing the small name tag on his shirt, wiping off a fleck of puppy food crumbs so it read 'Benji' rather than 'enji'.

The boy stared at the few rows of cages, stopping at one with a smile. This particular cockatil had been quite nice to him. Haro wasn't sure if he had been something like him, something that could change forms, but he had been nice, opptimistic, something that Haro had needed. "'Lo, Cheekee," the boy murmured softly, sticking a finger inside the cage which was promptly chomped at by the supposedly kind, creamy colored bird. The boy withdrew his hand, sucking at his sore finger with a frown. "Cheekee, it's me," he mumbled with a frustrated gaze. Maybe he hadn't been so nice after all... maybe he had only liked him for the extra seed he got when he had been sharing a cage.

The young man frowned slightly, watching the scene carefully, "Oi, don't go sticking your fingers in there, Cheeks is not a very gentle kind of bird. I wouldn't suggest opening his cage either, we just lost a bird somehow, think som kid left a cage open," he explained, rubbing at his name tag idlely.

[[I <3 Benji.]]

((Well... she told me to draw he avi. ._.;; ))

Liao frowned, bow posed an inch or so above the strings. Why...? He couldn't remember the end of the song and he had left all his sheet music back home... well, most of it... He had... a few songs with him, but not this one. It was irritating. Sheet music wasn't exactly expensive, it was just annoying to have to explain why he needed another copy to the instructor - he, of course, he no idea of Liao's home state and was not exactly sympathetic. He sighed and began a different song, one he knew well.

**

Shin wondered absently if that was the one... but... how could it be, if the bird didn't recognise Haro? So that one wouldn't be... like them. He frowned softly, hoping the bird hadn't bit Hato too hard. "Neh, Haro, is he the one?" he asked, just to make sure. His voice was quiet - he didn't want the shop keeper to get any... ideas... He didn't want to leave any hints. They would need to be careful.
PostPosted: Sat Sep 02, 2006 4:30 pm

Haro looked up with a confused expression, "How'd you know his name was Cheeks?" He asked, watching with wavering eyes as the young man walked slowly over towards the two. Benji's orange eyes narowed slightly, "I know all."

The boy flushed slightly as the other came close, making sure the cage was still shut completely. He knew everything? He hoped that he didn't know he was really a bird...and that- Overall, the boy just hoped the other didn't know everything like he had mentioned. Turning his head towards Shin, the shook his head softly, "No, I just-...he just looked nice but it's not the one I want," he murmured, trying to appear as if he was looking for some sort of pet, clinging to Shin's arm for a moment. "You said you'd get me whatever one I wanted, ne? I- I'm so thankful," he added with a rather skittish smile as he stared up at the tiger.
Benji looked up from his examination of the cage's locking device, "You're looking for a bird?" He asked, glancing at the two teens, one looking horribly on edge while the other looked rather uncomfortable with his presence. "I can show you some other ones if you want. Were you looking for a certain disposition or color or anything? I just want you to know that birds usually live fairly long and are more maintanence then people assume," he explained while watching the shorter teen increasingly pale with every word.

Haro fidgeted with the ends of his sleeves, biting at his lower lip before answering, "Uhm, I'm not sure, we're just looking at 'em," he murmured with a heavy blush. That man made him feel incredibly weird and he wished he would go away so he couldn't smell him anymore. Benji shrugged, "M'kay, feel free to ask me any questions or if you'd like to take any pet out, 'cept the fish of course, just ask and I'll get them out for you guys."

Shin nodded at the shop keep's words, although he himself was feeling a little... unnerved by them. Haro... he was trying to make it sound like they were looking for a pet, and yet somehow the boy wasn't entirely... convincing. For one thing, how could any regular boy - not that Haro was at all regular, but that was what they needed the general public to asume - would know the name of a bird with no name tag that he had supposedly never met before? "Yes... anything you want," he said in reply to Haro's words. Although he secretly hoped Haro didn't actually want a pet... not a regular one, at least... If it was... like them, that was fine, but others... well, Shin just might get bitten or scratched.
