Perfect as in having no flaws at all, ideal people, do all these wonderful things and on top of that have the most perfect relationship where they never fight or have conflicts or arguements or disagree on anything. A continual heaven on earth type thing.

the point exactly.
Many of the annoying CanonOC authors (Notice I've stated the word annoying, i.e. the ones that annoy me) have the theory going that their character and Aoki Takao's character were made for each other. (Which, now I think of it in most cases is true at least on one side XD)
*shudddddddder*

I mean that, to me, many canonOC pairings seem to follow a bad romcom pattern.
I.e. As some of the female OCs are actually created with a Kai pairing in mind (Or are created and then modified toward a Kai pairing when the author enters the fandom) their on-paper relationship seems to lack the dynamic of a true one, for me anyways. True relationships are people with personalities that don't fit together perfectly or fit except for one minor annoyance. They are people trying to make it work with their personalities intact.
Hence why I'm so in love with crack!pairings like JohnnyRei. They DEFINITELY were not intended in the series to be paired. However, it can work.
However, on the same note, I like OCOC pairings which can arguably, be said to commit the same crimes as I've detailed in CanonOC. However, in my limited experience, I've found that characters are generally not built around other characters. They are built and then the relationship is formed, with the characters and the author making it work.
...I don't think I can explain it any better sweatdrop That's how it makes sense to me
