((I'm bored...I guess I'll post a little something.))
She sat up in the tree and stretched, noticing that she'd dozed off yet again. Looking down at the beach, she noticed that there was still some action going on. The boat had returned, but it appeared like there was nothing going on at the moment. Just then a small voice was heard behind her. "Alexiiiii!" it said. "I'm so boreeeeeeeeeed...." Turning around, she noticed it was her small plant friend, Total. "I know," she assured her little minion. "I am too. But it looks like something might happen soon. Maybe we'll even get to meet some of them." "That would be awesome!" Total said, jumping up and down happily in its little flower pot. "Yeah," the girl replied solemnly. "But until then...."
[Conjure]
A bowl of buttered popcorn and a huge bottle of water appeared at her side. "Let's just sit back and watch," she said, pulling the popcorn bowl into her lap and digging in.
((Might as well, lol))

(( This is a reply to Lorika's Jessie post on page 73 )) Once he was released the second time, the Overseer stumbled backwards on the beach sand and landed on his backside. Dripping wet and wrung out like a drowned rat, he still hadn't had the chance to catch his breath, his face hurting, and his head reeling with every word the Captain threw at him with vengeance. His expression was strangely blank as he gasped for air and eyes searched the night scenery. Perhaps the Captain gave him too much credit, counting on a good lecture and some common sense knocked physically into him would do the trick. Finally the Overseer's eyes narrowed as his thoughts caught up with events, and he pushed himself shakily up off the ground. The corner of his mouth twitched, and his lip curled back into an angry snarl, words there but they were unspoken. His hands were clenched into fists as he shook with the barely restrained need to attack back at his aggressor. But it was all for naught. After he had shot that hate filled and venomous glare at the Captain, the Overseer turned again to flat out run, again putting to use his high land speed. Now he was running from the beach and everyone there, his destination to hopefully lose them within the jungle.

"E-evelyn..." Lorika choked, burying her face in the woman's blonde hair. "Bapp... and the Overseer..."
She didn't get any further. Restraining herself from bawling was an impossibility. She was so weak.
After several minutes, she heard a familiar voice give a small, attention-seeking cough. She looked around, and it was Jessie, as she had known. The Priestess blinked up at him... the look in his eye was about as baleful as she'd ever witnessed, and the lantern-light cast frightening shadows over his face. If she'd been able to see a little better, she would've noticed that he was clenching his jaw repeatedly in barely-contained rage.
"J-jessie-?!" she whimpered, as the man stepped forward and hoisted her to her feet, picking her up as easily as if she were a rag doll.
"The man is fine," he said, a little sharply. He paused, and tried again. This time he managed a more soothing tone. "He has simply abandoned his followers, yet again. Do not concern yourself with him further, Priestess. Whether he is a god or not, he is not worthy of the position. He is hardly worthy to be called a man."
"Jessie...?" she questioned, as he willingly gave a short but reassuringly tight hug.
"He is not worthy of your love," he continued, breaking away and moving to scoop up Feline. Lorika expected him to continue... but he didn't.
Her tears had long dried. She gave a small sniff and glanced around, noticing that now all those who hadn't abandoned the scene were now staring at her.
"R-right, well..." she said, reaching down to help Evelyn to her feet "Evelyn can walk... that's good. It looks like everyone who's going to be moving or moved is here. I'm glad we have enough people to carry Feline and... whoever that is," she said questioningly, glancing at the red-haired woman in Odin's arms.
She blinked, and then smiled wearily. "Let's head back home."

((Haha will do! =D))
After devouring countless bowls of popcorn, the girl decided to go to sleep for the night. Total had already dozed off hours before. She cleaned up the bottles of water and the bowls and got herself comfortable. "I'm really beginning to dislike trees right now," the girl said as she laid back down on the leaves for what seemed the umpteenth time. "And I really hate pulling palm tree leaves out from under my skirt...." Wrapping her cape around her, she drifted off into sleep yet again....

I thought it already was the next day?????????????? Looks like I'll be sleeping in teh ORo's bed again X3)) “So I cried, and I begged for you to Love me love me say that you love me...” White Mage Kyo Christmas Kyo lazily pulled himself out of the bath and got dressed into a simple silk snow white robe that barely went down to his knees. Making sure the coast was clear he snuck downstairs and went into the Overseer’s room to see if he was there only to find it empty, save for his pet clam. Sighing, he sat on the bed and then laid back waiting for the Overseer’s return. After about thirty minutes of nothing Kyo fell into a deep sleep.
"...leave me leave me just say that you need me I can't care about anything but you."

Nindyn vel'uss kyorl nind ratha thalra elyhinn dal lil alust. A hot shower and a few hours of sleep had done wonders to soothe the Captain. To say that returning last night had been stressful was something of an understatement. Everyone was upset, including him. He couldn't believe that a man could be QUITE as useless and needlessly destructive as the Overseer was proving to be. Was the man stupid, or just... no, the man was stupid. He had to be.
No more had been said on the matter of the Sentinel last night. Everyone had been put to bed for a long rest. It was with a grim heart that he knew the troubles would explode again today after several hours of peace. It was a shame. He'd had plans for today.
The morning had carried on for him as usual - his rounds, and rousing the trainees from their beds. They'd marched and trained for a couple of hours, and now they were on their way back - to what he hoped was not a scene of chaos at the Temple imposed by the red-haired woman. He didn't usually go with the recruits to attend prayers, but he needed to see Lorika rather badly - to discuss things, and to check on her state of wellbeing.
In fact, what greeted them at the Temple was rather more disturbing - complete silence. A notice had been put up on the board at the entrance: DAY'S PRAYERS CANCELLED. His heart pounded. This couldn't mean anything good. Passing out word for the troops to go and do as they pleased, he swept through the hallways alone, intent on finding the Priestess.
Rounding the corner to the priests' quarters in the basement, he came face to face with a young acolyte, who squeaked in fear as a six-foot drow bore down upon her from nowhere. She was holding a jug of water and a flannel, and almost dropped the two.
"Where is the High Priestess?" he asked, as coolly as possible.
"Sh-she's in her room," the girl replied, and he swept past her "But-"
He didn't want to hear the end of her sentence. There was enough fear in his heart as it was. He needed to see what was happening for himself - then he could begin to deal with it.
His stomach lurched as he saw a crowd of people - almost all of the acolytes, crowding around outside Lorika's chamber. Only the top part of the open door was visible, there were so many of them.
"Out of my way!" he called, pushing his way through the tight throng. Many obligingly attempted to shuffle out of his path, but there was just not enough room in the tight corridor. All the same, he soon reached the doorway, and stopped to peer through.
The room contained a smaller group of acolytes, who were speaking in hushed tones. Lorika was in bed, hands folded neatly over her stomach, green hair fanning out beneath her head. Another girl was sitting at the head of the bed gently pressing a compress against the Priestess' forehead - was she ill?
He approached the bed to see for himself. She didn't appear to be ill. In fact, her lips were curved into a small smile as she lay unmoving. The girl moved away sharply for him to get even closer, but once she moved he didn't need to look at Lorika again for a moment. Her body had been hiding an empty glass bottle, with just a few dregs of blue liquid visible in the bottom.
He cursed, and leaned over the priestess, feeling for her pulse and breathing. They were both there, thank god. So she hadn't taken an overdose as such. After a few moments of processing, he thought that perhaps in her fatigued state last night she might have taken a larger dose than normal, probably by accident. The only thing that they could do was wait for her to wake up.
He said as much to the crowd of acolytes, ushering them out and away from the room and shutting the door behind him. He told them all that if they had any problems that required attention before the Priestess awoke then they were to seek out the Spellcasting master. Panda's whereabouts were rather more reliable than his own. Aside from that, well... they were to carry on as normal, performing their chores and duties to the best of their abilities.
The crowd slowly dispersed. Jessie then went to check in on the Sentinel, who was lodging a few doors down from the Priestess. She had fallen asleep when placed into bed, but now she sat, catatonic yet again, staring at nothing in particular. He frowned at her, trying to decide the best course of action.
Eventually, he picked up the key to the room from the dresser, went outside and locked the door. He then pocketed the key, and made off back the way he had come. Those who watch their backs meet death from the front. ~~ Drow proverb

"Ghah, everything is so busy here!" said Mettanere, carrying a platter of breakfast foods on her head, and drinks on one arm. "I wish I could get a moment of peace!" On her way up to Lorika-sama's room, she tripped over a doorpost, sending a glass of orange juice flying. "Oh crap, I'll pick that up later...." She looked up, but it wasn't orange juice on the wall that she saw. No, a very angry Drow stood in her path. She froze. ♫♪The Overseer's Praisesinger♪♫

(( *PLANS RUINED* *But not really* )) Nindyn vel'uss kyorl nind ratha thalra elyhinn dal lil alust. Jessie started as a glass of orange juice suddenly came flying through the air towards him. He was, however, too fast for the universe to catch up with him.
[Dodge]
After the orange juice came another of the strange cat creatures, like the one he'd seen yesterday, but without wings. Her surveyed her carefully for a moment, observing the tray of food in her hands and the terrified expression on her face.
He then turned, picking up the largest remaining part of the shattered glass and placing it back on the tray.
"Lorika is unwell," he informed her "She won't be needing any breakfast today."
With that, he edged past her and glided away. Those who watch their backs meet death from the front. ~~ Drow proverb

(( And now, back to our regularly scheduled the-thing-I've-been-writing-for-the-past-hour )) Nindyn vel'uss kyorl nind ratha thalra elyhinn dal lil alust. It might have seemed strange for him to be leaving the Order's territory on the day when he was probably most needed, but having effectively dismissed all of the troops he now had the perfect opportunity to carry out his plans. He was making for a small, secret place on the Northern part of the island - a small cave that could be found by squeezing through a small gap in the rocks underneath a small outcropping of rocks. You had to get into the water and wade over to it - which he did, removing his robes as he had done to rescue Feline the previous night, but also his trousers - he had other things to do that day, and walking around with part of his clothing soaking wet would have been a nuisance.
Lithely squeezing through the rocks, he bent down in the small cave beyond. It was bare, dank and wet and he had to stoop to fit inside it, but the real reason he'd come lay on the opposite wall. The tiny cave was small enough for him to simply have to reach out his arm.
He brushed his fingers along the familiar rock, and felt the tiny, subtle engraving human hands would have missed. Running his fingertips along the sanskrit-like code, he closed his eyes and quietly pronounced "Aunmysklyr."
The word was swallowed up by the water and the rock. For a few moments, nothing happened. Then, the rock began to shift.
It only moved two feet or so - a gap roughly the same as the entrance. It was enough for him to squeeze through, but might have been impossible for a normal man.
The cavern beyond was a much larger. He was able to stand up straight, for one thing. For another, it NEEDED to be large, for it housed a veritable dragon's hoard of treasure.
He climbed over the nearest mountain of gold and slid down the other side. Obscured from view at the entrance were many large, incalculably heavy chests of stained wood and wrought iron. He paused, folding his arms. Now that he was here, he wasn't quite sure what he was looking for... he hadn't exactly planned what he was going to bring back with him. Well, it hardly mattered. He had plenty of time to choose.
Hefting open the chest second nearest to him - he knew that the nearest was only filled with native jewels - he began to sift through the trove of precious jewellry, which had been carelessly tossed in no particular order into the container. Rings of all shapes, sizes and settings - bracelets, torques, circlets set with precious stones in elaborate shapes - necklaces... necklaces!
Jessie began to pay more attention to the items he was pulling from the wooden chest, setting aside any particularly eye-catching necklaces. After some time, he moved to another chest and repeated the process - not wanting to put all his eggs in one basket, if you will. He had no idea how much time was passing, but sifting through the treasure soon became tedious, and he decided that the fifty or so he'd picked out so far were sufficient choice.
Each necklace was equally as fine and valuable as the next, so he didn't have to pay attention to that. He began to whittle them down on aesthetics. The first to go were too elaborate. The next were brightly coloured. Very quickly, he'd cut fifty down to five - five of a similar style; pendants on simple chains. Now there was only one aspect to choose by, really. The pendant.
Now he began to examine each of them very closely. One was encrusted in diamonds - too flashy. It was discarded. One was silver, with a purple stone - it may have suited some women, he thought, but not her. Eventually, he was torn between two very similar necklaces. They were entirely similar in appearance, comrprising of a single large, oval stone set in gold. One was sapphire, dark and stunning - the other was aquamarine, clear and pure. The colour of the sky on a clear day.
The sapphire necklace joined its brethren back in the chest. The lid went down. Jessie made his way back out of the trove, gift clutched in the palm of his hand, and the rock closed behind him, giving no hint of his passing.
Once back on the beach, he stopped to survey the precious item in the light of day, and was stunned by how good his choice had actually been. The unobtrusive, oval stone was ringed by a thin band of the gold setting, almost protective in its presence. The chain was one long, delicate strand of gold as oppose to many links. It had no fastening, being very ancient, and was meant to slip over the head. He didn't like the modern fastenings, anyway. They broke far too easily - they were weak, and unreliable. With this thought, he took the necklace in both hands and pulled with most of his strength. Nothing moved, snapped or broke. It remained perfect and intact.
Satisfied, he dressed, slipping the piece of jewelry into one of the many hiding places in his robes. He'd now head back to the cabin and tuck it away safely for now... in town, he'd need to buy a box and some ribbon, and perhaps one or two other things... Those who watch their backs meet death from the front. ~~ Drow proverb

--- --- Bapp stretched as yawned, blinking sleepily. "I feel asleep..." He looked at the first aid kit and the half-eaten pack of biscuits he was snacking on last night on the table.
No one did hand him back his cloak, hat and glasses, so he was still in a half-top and pants.
"Whatever." He got up and put the first aid kit and biscuits into a bag, then quietly left the temple. He made his way back to his tent in the forest near the beach, left untouched by anyone and went in, grabbing a spare pair of glasses before locking and leaving.
"Alright, now to go help Coline. I'm not supposed to tell anyone so I better be careful." He mentally told himself. --- ---
