The roads had long since blurred together, but the driver was almost at her destination. In a lot of ways, she was relieved to be home. She was driving home from a dark and now lonely place. Everything she had from Georgia was gone. Sadly, home wasn’t too appetizing either. She had skeletons she’d have to bury, while others she’d have to reveal. There were too many things changing, and she wasn’t sure if she was ready yet.
The young Asian pulled into the very familiar parking lot. She only grabbed her bag, (deciding she’d come back for her boxes later) and headed towards the school building. Everything about her was better than her last time here. Her body was more built, and her bones just barely showed, while previously they were quite noticeable. Her long hair was sleek and came down to her back, slightly longer than before. Her eyes were no longer bagged, although they were hidden by a pair of expensive shades. Her petite body was clothed in dark skinny jeans, and a white tank top. She kept herself warm with a leather jacket that was slightly too large for her, it didn’t belong to her either. Her height was added onto, since she was wearing a pair of black stilettos. She was dressed to kill, as was her ride. The car she was just getting out of was a red 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10. She could already hear the admires walking towards the car to check it out. Honestly, she felt like the hot new kid. None of those admires even realized that she was the same girl who was in tears in the cafeteria only 2 weeks before.
Mitsukai was back, and she was better than ever. At least, that’s how it appeared.
First things first, she had to break someone’s heart. It didn’t take her long to find her victim. He was waiting for her like an idiot. She could feel the butterflies knotting her stomach as she approached him. ‘Why Cory’ She thought. She didn’t want to hurt him, but life wasn’t giving her to much of a choice. ‘This is all my fault…’ She looked at his smiling lips, and his glittering eyes. She took in his long brown hair that she so foolishly ran her fingers through a week before. She traced his whole body with her eyes, the one she ruined with her touch. Mitsukai tried to swallow her self-loathing as she walked toward him.
“Hunny, you’re going to drive all the boys insane with a car like that.” Mitsukai flinched at him saying Hunny, he was just setting himself up for more hurt. More hurt that was all her fault…
“Cory, we need to talk.” She said, applying enough force where he knew it was serious. However, she didn’t even need to apply to many hints, because with those words, his smile fell and his eyes dimmed. ‘I’m sorry…’ She thought.
“I can’t keep this up Cory.” She announced. His face quickly turned from sad to pleading. “What do you mean, you can’t keep it up? You’re not calling it off…” Mitsukai felt like she couldn’t breathe. “Yes, I am.” “Why, we work so good together. We..we..” With every word, he stepped closer to her. He even grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him, his pleading eyes starring right at her. Mitsukai hardened her face as she pulled away. “I don’t love you Cory, I haven’t in a long long time.” Mitsukai said, trying not to choke on the words. It was all her fault, all her fault. “Why would you… if you don’t love me…” Mitsukai flinched as he stopped himself midsentence. Why would she touch him? Kiss him? Make love to him? Sadly, she had an answer to all those: she was using him… “Cant we just make it work?” He asked again, she had to look away as tears filled his eyes. “I don’t love you…” “Why not.?” The accusing question made her realize he knew. He understood perfectly. “Cause, I love him.” Mitsukai said, barley breathing at the words. She peered up at him and his face already turned hard. He did the math and he figured it out. Cory finally knew whom she imagined as they made love, imagined as she kissed him goodnight, imagined as she held his hands.
“Yo…you…You slut!” The words caused Mitsukai to flinch. Mitsukai took a deep breath. She was not going to cry. She was going to keep herself together. She was going to keep it all together even as he turned around and left.
------------------------------
After a mindless walk, Mitsukai’s growling stomach lead her towards the cafeteria. According to her watch, it was just before she had to go to class. She had already been emailing all of her teachers and administrators, so it was planned that she’d be receiving a make up packet in all of her classes that went over everything she missed. Therefore, everything was planned. This was going to be the very first time she’d be in class within the past month.
Sadly, she was held under one probation due to her extended absence. She had to go through therapy. Apparently, this acclaimed doctor was a specialist with the insanity problems that came with telepathy. From her continues emails with them, she very quickly discovered the rate at which insanity, depression, and uncontrollable anger developed within her powers. Supposedly, she was lucky, because they usually controlled the person within the first year of the power revealing. Honestly, Mitsukai didn’t feel lucky. She felt doomed.
Mitsukai sat at her table while she took small bits of her breakfast, contemplating everything she’d be facing today. The list was fairly simple, yet absolutely devastating. Hopefully she wouldn’t have to face anyone else who’d make it harder. She just wanted to get back into her old routine.

If you want me, a cherry on top, the pick of the pack, The cršme de la crop. If you want me you better do better than that tonight. Oh, Oh. If you want me, it takes more than a wink, And more than a drink and more than you think. If you want me you're gunna have to break the bank, tonight. Cuz some don't have the patience, some call me high-maintenance But you pay the bill, cuz, that's the deal.
Nikky Celeste DarlingNikky rubbed the sleep from her eyes. It had been another late night, staying up to try and get her mouth to form the syllable's that they knew. Over the past few weeks, she had made very little improvement, and sometimes it frustrated her to tears. It didn't help that her best friend was miles and miles away. Sure, she completely understood why Mitsukai was gone, and she wished the best for Hana. So, she dealt with it. Nikky had also been very kind to L lately, she figured that who Joe liked couldn't be picked by their hostility to eachother. L had just seemed more distant with each attempt. School wasn't a big deal anymore. She just went to class so she could graduate. It wasn't as fun since she couldn't really talk. Maybe if things were like they used to be, then she'd be her peppy happy self again. She finally drug herself to the bathroom to freshen up and take a shower before getting ready for school. While Nikky was getting dressed, her hair dried to a soft wave which she had grown to like. It used to be straight all the time. Blue jeans, some eskimo boots, and a simple plaid button up shirt was her choice attire for the fall day. She glanced at the mirror briefly before heading out of her room with her things for school. Nikky made her way in silence to the cafeteria for breakfast. When she came through the doors, she spotted a familiar figure. A familiar but, a missed figure as well. "Mitsukai" She faintly mumbled, nobody else would have been able to decode what she said. She took a deep breath before heading through the line, getting her food, and making her way over to her best friend. She sat down quietly beside Mitsukai and gave her a hug and a welcoming smile. She knew things were rough for Mitsukai at the moment, but like always, Nikky was there for her, no matter what. She didn't want to eat until she heard every detail about what had happened in Georgia, but, her silence had made her patient over the past few months. So, she took a bite of cereal, letting Mitsukai decide when she was ready to tell her tale. As she chewed, she wondered if Joe knew Mitsukai was back. Chances were that he didn't. Nikky was sure that if he did know, he'd be down in the cafeteria with them .
If you wanna ride, just name your price don't play cheap, with your heart Don't make a bet if you can't write the check, for me, for me. Cuz I can be bought, but you'll pay the cost If you can afford me

Mitsukai hadn’t been in the cafeteria long when Nikky appeared. She gave her friend a slight smile, and then continued to eat her granola bar. However, the food wasn’t helping much once it was all in her stomach. It was probably a shame that one small granola bar filled her up. Nevertheless, it had. Mitsukai had already become unhealthy, and she knew she probably wouldn’t eat much more for the rest of the day.
Mitsukai looked at Nikky, and saw her eager eyes were curious of everything that happened in Georgia. What could Mitsukai tell her? Maybe she could start with Cory. She could go over the fact that she had sex with him, multiple times, and each and every time she imagined it was Thorne. It wasn’t even just sex, she lead him on for a full week just so she wouldn’t have to be alone when she had lost so much. On the other hand, she could start with how her sister died. Or, she could explain the last thing that her sister had shown her, which was that both her father and sister were cursed with the same power as Mitsukai. Maybe she could explain how her mother had always hated her since her powers didn’t show until her father was dead, and then she was left desperate since she hadn’t known what to do. All though, nothing could top the fact that her mother had just moved to Japan in order to stay as far away from Mitsukai as possible, and start over.
Though, there were some good things that happened during her stay in Georgia. She was able to visit with her eldest friends Nikol and Pheebe. Mitsukai laughed, and she even managed to be herself again. She lived a life that was in complete denial, yet made her happy. There were so many secrets.
“Georgia was fairly uneventful.” Mitsukai decided on. She then gave Nikky a huge smile, deciding it was the best option. The only thing Mitsukai knew was, no one was touching her hands anytime soon.
“Oh my God, is that my beautiful best friend!”
Mitsukai turned around and smiled at Joseph, who was quickly approaching their table. Behind him was some new girl, who quietly sat down across from them. Mitsukai grimaced as Joseph pulled her into his arms and gave her a huge bear squeeze. Then, he sat down next to the new girl.
“Sorry I missed your birthday; I got you a gift to make up for it. Though, you have to help me move the boxes out of the trunk before you can have it.”Mitsukai said as she passed him the keys to the sexy Dodge Viper in the parking lot. His face morphed into something of pure excitement. “Now you can sell that horrid truck of yours.” She announced.

‘And you win a new car!’
Those were the last words of a marvelous dream, which ended as the teenager rolled out of bed and onto the floor. He grumbled as he got up and walked towards the mirror. “God, I look disgusting…” He mumbled as he observed the stubble shadowing his jaw line. His long brunet hair was somehow sticking up in all directions. Moreover, his eyes were lined with sleep. He grumbled to himself as he started washing his face. He then threw a brush through his hair, opting for leaving it wavy since he had no intention in fooling with his straighter this morning. Finally, he shaved his face, and brushed his teeth.
Once his face was presentable, he realized his body wasn’t. His naked chest was coated with sweat and his black sweats were somehow twisted around. The young lad quickly undressed, and pulled on a pair of dark jeans. He then finalized his look with a white tee and a navy blue hoodie. Joseph slipped on a pair of TOMs as he walked out of the door, just barely remembering to grab his book bag on the way.
“Joseph!”
The now familiar voice made him smile. It seemed to belong to his new friend Juliette, who he had been spending much of his time with during the past two weeks. After the concert, they had become inseparable. Well, besides when Nikky was around.
Things with Nikky had become better. They had worked around the lack of conversation, and Joseph spent whatever time he could help her learn to talk again. They were nowhere near finished, but Joe knew he would help her eventually. Though, on the contrary things with L had become weird. He barely saw her, and it had begun to worry him. Typically, Joseph was oblivious with anything that wasn’t a disaster, or hadn’t dealt with Mitsukai. The fact that her absence had begun to bother him proved something bad was happing. Yet, Joseph had no clue what he could do about it.
Other than those two adjustments, nothing else was new. He had spent the last two weeks creating a rhythm of hanging out with Ellie, Ali, and Nikky. For some odd reason, Joseph didn’t have very many male friends, though he spent some time with Kyuubi and Adam. Since his friends kept him distracted, he managed to limit his worrying about Mitsukai. Though, that was probably because she was withholding information from him. Joseph had long since figured out that fact. Although, there was nothing he could discover about the situations. His spies were unreliable, and he was coming to dead ends.
Joseph and Juliette headed off towards the cafeteria together, making small talk about the few classes they did share. Once they walked through the doors, it only took Joe one moment to spot his old friend.
“Oh my God, is that my beautiful best friend!” He hollered and rushed off to see her, almost leaving Juliette in the dust. He wrapped his arms around Mitsukai and gave her the tightest hug he possibly could. Finally, he sat down and smiled at his beautiful best friend.
“Sorry I missed your birthday; I got you a gift to make up for it. Though, you have to help me move the boxes out of the trunk before you can have it.” Joseph looked in awe at the keys she just threw in his hands. “Now you can sell that horrid truck of yours.”
“Dude, I’m 18.” Joe said, reminding himself of his newfound age. Honestly, he forgot about it until the very last hour when Nikky wished him a happy birthday. He could scarcely believe he was now an adult. September 23, and somehow he forgot all about it. “I seriously need you around to remind me of my birthday. Are we partying tonight?” Joseph asked, somewhat curious about whatever party she was bound to throw.
“I wish we were, but I…” Joseph gave Mitsukai a strange look as she peered over at Juliette. “I uhh, I have therapy tonight.” Mitsukai coughed up, and looked at the ground shamefully. Joseph was token back, but kept his thankfulness to himself. There was one thing Mitsukai needed, professional help.
“Okay, we’ll do something soon. Just text me whenever you can.” Joseph said, and gave Mitsukai a smile. He then peered over at Nikky, who he hadn’t really noticed until now.
“Hey beautiful.” He said, giving her a gleaming smile.

Nikky Celeste DarlingNikky believed that more had gone on in Georgia than what Mitsukai was willing to reveal. That was alright with her. Usually she would have begged for details, but since she lost her ability to speak, that had changed. She was no longer interested in being a gossip queen. She returned the smile that was given to her before watching the tiny figure of Mitsukai get half strangled by Joe's arms. She couldn't help but smirk. Nikky took the last bite of her food before directing her gaze to the first year that had followed Joe to the cafeteria. It was Juliette, a figure she was growing used to seeing around. She studied the girls face. There was something familiar about her, and Nikky hoped that she would see it soon. She really didn't have a good feeling about her, but maybe it was just her imagination. Regardless, she didn't voice her opinion. She was just weary of Juliette. Her ears were paying attention to talk about a car and a party while her eyes were studying Juliette. She was kinda glad that there wasn't going to be a party right away. Parties were loud and that was something Nikky couldn't be. Plus, she didn't want to be a party pooper either. Eighteen was a big birthday though, and she wanted him to have a party like she did. Days before she had given him a zip up hoodie he had been wanting along with a Visa giftcard. She kinda ambushed him on the morning of his birthday, before they had gotten up and dressed for the day. She had woken up early and just couldn't wait til breakfast time. She ended up knocking on his dorm door at five til six. While the conversation went on, Nikky practiced words under her breath, staring at the table while she did. However, when someone spoke to her, she looked up and smiled at him. It was Joe, and his comment made her blush slightly. She winked a thank you in return for his compliment .

The early dawn hours were always the best time of day. Most students were still in bed, while a few were just crawling out to get an early start. The birds were chirping, and the sun was rising. Yet, everything still had a serene feeling to it. Although, this morning was different.
As Ellie floated around in her spirit form, she could tell the atmosphere was different. Instead of the sleepy just woke up feel, there was a buzz of excitement. Ellie quickly moved towards it, curious of what the fuss was about. As she approached, she saw that the excitement was coming from no other than Cory. She moved over to him, and plopped down at a spot on the ground, watching his every movement. The amount of energy that buzzed off him was electrifying. She felt her own self become excited, though she had no clue what this excitement was about.
A red car pulling into the parking lot reveled why Cory was excited. Though, the discovery completely dimmed Ellie’s excitement. Mitsukai was back.
Ellie stuck around, and listened to every word of Mitsukai and Cory’s argument. She noticed things that Cory was to blind to see. She noticed how Mitsukai flinched whenever Cory said something accusing. She could see the ripples of emotion that rung through Mitsukai as Cory’s whole perception or her changed. Ellie watched how Cory’s emotions turned to stone, and she could practically see the walls coming up. With his realization, he changed. Cory had his turning point, and the thought made Ellie laugh. There was no more Mr. Nice Guy. Cory James was a new person, all at the fault of the love of his life. It was such a tragedy, so predictable.
As Cory ran off, Ellie stuck around to watch Mitsukai. She laughed as a single tear fell from behind her shades. She watched as Mitsukai recovered her composer, and walked almost mindlessly away. Ellie stood there for a moment, gloating in victory and pride.
-------------------------
Not to long after, Ellie found her soul back into Juliette’s body. She got started on her long routine of make up and hair. These things were repetitive; though Ellie was glad that she actually had a body in which she could do these things. She then dressed into her typical winter outfit of a grey hoodie over some shirt and a pair of pants. Today, her shirt was a bright pink girls gone wild shirt, which she received at a bar about a year ago. Her pants were simple blue jean skinnys. Then she threw on a pair of flats, which were almost to flimsy for the cool September day. Once she felt satisfied about her outfit, she walked out of her door with her tote bag in hand.
Ellie hadn’t been walking long when she ran into Joseph. After she got his attention by a simple calling of his name, they walked together towards the cafeteria. The whole walk they talked about fairly insignificant stuff, yet Ellie cherished every word. Of course, she always had to push back the jealously that she felt whenever she talked with him. In his mind, he was talking to his new friend Juliette. Juliette received all of the attention, never his sister Ellie, whom was dead in his standards.
Once they got in the cafeteria, Ellie listened to the conversation, barely caring about the new car or Joseph’s birthday. Ellie couldn’t wish him a happy birthday, because ‘Juliette’ hadn’t known. Therefore, she just stood in the sidelines, acting completely oblivious to the day. She halfway listened to the conversation, mostly in her own little world. There was one thing that Ellie knew she had to do, and that was knocking Mitsukai down before she was given the chance to take Juliette’s newly claimed place. Ellie was in her own little world of plotting when she felt Mitsukai give her a suspicious stare.
“I wish we were, but I…”
Ellie felt her whole body go on alert, and her ears seemed to perk up.
“I uhh, I have therapy tonight.”
Ellie tried to keep a straight face, but she couldn’t control her lips as they went into a slight smile. She almost laughed as she felt Mitsukai’s unwavering glace on her, heating her skin. She knew that Mitsukai already seemed be untrusting of her. It seemed that ‘Juliette’ put out that front. Not that she honestly cared, since no one could really get in the way of her plotting.
By the time Mitsukai had looked down, Ellie had already put her plan into action. She knew that she would be spending her lunchtime finding out all the good details about Mitsukai’s therapy session.
It was only when Joseph acknowledged Nikky that Ellie noticed her. On most days, Nikky would have all of Ellie’s attention. However, today the phrase stating that Ellie had bigger fish to fry was true. Nonetheless, Ellie gave Nikky a small smile, and went back into her own little world. She should probably engage conversation though, considering Nikky knew ‘Juliette’ as a talkative individual.
After a few minutes of thinking, Ellie couldn’t think of much besides school. Therefore, she pulled off a convincing yawn, which would help disguise her sudden quietness, then opened her mouth to talk to Joe. “Hey Joe, did you ever get the notes for Calculus?” She asked, figuring it was something that could start some sort of conversation. “I didn’t get much of a chance to write them.” Ellie noted, and since it wasn’t a lie, it worked. Ellie was pulled out of class due to a schedule change; they finally took her out of Power Control Beginners and moved her to Advanced Power Control.
“Umm, yea. Let me see…” Joe said as he scavenged through his bag, only to pull out a crumbled piece of paper. “Here you go.” He said as he handed it to her. “Didn’t they change your schedule or something?” He asked. She pulled out her new schedule and handed it to Joe as her response.
“Oh wow, we have three classes together now. Though, you still don’t have any classes with any of these two lovely ladies.” Joseph said as he read her schedule. Ellie just shrugged and peered over at Nikky. “Such a shame, isn’t it?” Ellie said, though she was thinking the complete opposite. No sense in letting them know that though.

Kyuubi yawned as his alarm went off. He could hardly remember going to sleep the night before. He kept looking for the picture over and over again the night before even though he already found it, he seemed to lose it every minute. He guessed it was all the stress. Everyone was expecting so much out of him even more now. He didn't want to go back anymore, he wanted to stay here. He knew he had to go back everyday though. He could tell his work ethic had lowered, he was focusing on school work and it made him work less on the work for the kingdom. He sighed, he wished someone else could take over, anyone but his brother.
After showering and getting dressed he figured it would be best to go get breakfast. He walked slowly to the cafeteria. He knew his appearance would be different to some people. His clothes were more relaxed than usual. He felt the air around him shift from warm to cool. He needed to stop doing that. It was happening often this past couple weeks. It made him feel uncomfortable and he noticed some students walking by either shivering or panting because of this. It embarrassed him that he couldn't control his powers completely anymore. It started around the time when he began to first panic about his picture. He never felt panicked over that before. Finally he made it to the cafeteria. He got his breakfast, and then did he just notice who was there. Of course many people were commonly there but today he thought he was crazy.
He hadn't seen her in a long time. He was glad to see she was okay again. The last time he had seen her she was too thin and you could tell she cried a lot. He walked over to the group. "Hey everyone. Hi Mitsukai, glad to see your back" he said smiling. Mitsukai was back, that lifted his mood. He felt less stressed knowing that Mitsukai was okay. He looked at her, she looked better than he remembered. He was aware that the air was still shifting temperatures but he hoped the range wasn't far enough to bother them. He began to eat his breakfast, trying to ignore it.

 “Cause, I love him.”
The words shouldn’t have stung as they did. Yet, they did and that couldn’t have been helped. Though, then words didn’t quite hurt like the memories they brought. Cory could recall the moments he touched her, the moments he kissed her. All those night he loved her, while the whole time her heart was elsewhere. As Cory kissed her, she thought of Thorne. Even as she made love to him, Thorne was on her mind. How could she?
As the thoughts clamored his mind, Cory couldn’t control the rage that riveted through his soul. He felt his skin become flushed, and the anger start to swell. How could she? How dare she! “Yo…You…” The words seemed to struggle to get out, his mind to overwhelmed to talk. After a moment of taking it all in, with a deep breath he hollered the words “You slut!” and ran off.
Before he knew it, Cory was in his room. He moved around in a fury, throwing things out as fast as he could. He’d pick up pictures of them, and throw them in the trash. He didn’t allow times for emotions to register as he picked up each thing and threw it away. Everything was junk! Everything was a waste!
Once Cory was done, he sat and stared at his now blank wall. Previously, there had been a painting she painted him years ago. Now, it was the same off-white as the rest of the wall. The off-white shade seemed to stare at him, mocking him. Why had he been so dumb? Why had be given up so much?!
Eventually Cory’s stomach forced him to leave the room. His goal was to get in and get out, leaving him no time to be near that girl he now despised. Therefore, that’s what he did. Cory rushed in, sped through the line, and headed towards the door. He took a moment to look back at Cadence, and signal her to follow him. He was too angry to be by himself, and it probably wasn’t safe. He headed off towards the courtyard, and slammed down on a bench.
He wasn’t going to think, instead he was going to mindlessly eat and talk to Cadence about things that never even mattered. He wasn’t going to focus on everything that was taking a hold of his soul and eating him alive. He wasn’t going to think, and he wasn’t going to feel.
Though, even with that decided the bone crushing feel of heart break filled him.

Rise up and take the power back, it's time that The fat cats had a heart attack, you know that Their time is coming to an end, we have to Unify and watch our flag ascend, so come on .Cadence Saline Ivie Cadence finished her food in solitude, most of the time was the first up and about during school days. She normally liked sleeping late, but fall was her favorite season, and she wanted to enjoy it as much as she could. As she was sipping on her hot chocolate, she spotted Cory rushing out of the school. It wasn't normal behavior for him, something was wrong. As soon as he motioned for her to follow after him, she got up from her spot and headed his way. He was definately upset, more than Cadence had ever seen him before. Finally arriving at the table where he decided to stop, she sat down across from him. She wasn't quite sure what to say, so, she examined his face. It was contorted with pain and rage. She had a feeling as to what caused it, but decided not to jump to conclusions. After a few silent minutes, she decided to speak. "What's wrong, Cory?" She asked, concerned. She hadn't really known him before this school year, but she considered him a close friend, and she hated to see her friends upset. She waited patiently for his response, not caring if it took him all day to answer. It wasn't like she was going to class anytime soon. Her friend was more important. A strong breeze kicked up and Cadence pulled her jacket tighter, trying to stay warm. "We could go to the stream to talk, if you want..." She offered, knowing it would be more private than the cafeteria courtyard.
They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious, so come on

The last thing Cory wanted to do was talk about his feelings. He didn’t want to blabber on about how Mitsukai had grabbed his heart and stomped on it. He didn’t want to do anything that would linger on the agony he was feeling inside. He didn’t even want to think about it! Therefore, when Cadence demanded knowing what’s wrong, Cory just pushed the question aside with a shrug of his shoulder.
Silence lingered for a second, until Cadence brought on another suggestion. "We could go to the stream to talk, if you want..." Cory wasn’t all for the talking, but he sure was into the idea of the stream. It was a hidden hangout, somewhere he could stay far away from Mitsukai. He felt the urge to stay there all day. In fact, that was what he was going to do.
Cory got up, and headed off towards the direction of the stream, knowing full well that Cadence would trail not far behind. The stream was the most serene place throughout the entire school. Nowhere else could compare. There were days he would just come towards the stream and sit. This had always been a great thinking place, and a place Cory had grown to love.
On the walk in, he trailed in hands across the plant life, feeling the now familiar lines etched across the leaves. He did this until he walked right towards the waters edge, then he sat down cross-legged on the soft grass. He looked up at Cadence, trying to ignore the pure worry that seemed to be planted on her face. Cory gave her a strained smile, trying to imply that everything was all right. Was it? Nothing of the sort, but he had to do his best.
“Ya know, this whole time I’ve been in Michigan, I have yet to gone to one of the great lakes.” Cory calmly mentioned, now eager to start conversation on anything but his pounding heartbreak. Cory had to do something, anything to push those thoughts away. Maybe a night at the lake would push those thoughts away. He could possibly transform into a fish, or even scare some poor campers in the shape of a bear. It was better than staying here and crying all day. Maybe the screams on the campers faces would make everything worthwhile.

Rise up and take the power back, it's time that The fat cats had a heart attack, you know that Their time is coming to an end, we have to Unify and watch our flag ascend, so come on .Cadence Saline Ivie Cadence had a feeling that Cory would head to the stream. As soon as he had gotten up and began walking off, she follwed close behind. She loved walking over the fallen leaves, their hues varied from gold to burgundy to brown. Plus, the crunch that each leaf made reminded her of when she'd escape from her house, her worries, and hid out in the woods. It was her comfort spot. Before long, Cory stopped at the bank of the stream and sat down. Cadence continued on to a rock that hung over the edge of the water. That was her preferred seat. Once she was comfortable, she looked back at Cory. He attempted to give her a smile, but she could tell it was difficult for him. "Really, neither have I. I haven't really been to any lakes other than the ones back in Georgia..." She commented in response. She didn't say 'back home' since she never really considered her parent's house to be 'home'. "I've been to the lake in Acworth and Cartersville...that's about it. I like rivers better...always flowing onward, never stuck at a standstill, like lakes....What about you?" She asked, knowing he was avoiding the real reason behind his mood. She figured the question could distract him. While he thought about his answer, she stuck her right hand into the water, making her hand invisible to match. A smirk tugged at her lips as she watched the water flow around the spot where her hand was. It was an odd thing to watch, but it gave proof to the fact that her hand didn't go away entirely. No matter how invisible she seemed to others, she was always there. The early morning rays peeked through the trees, illuminating the undergrowth of the forest slightly. You couldn't hear the noises of the school, or human civilization where they were. Just the birds, the running water, the wind through the trees, and their breathing. It was definately calming spot and Cadence hoped it would help Cory. Pulling out her phone, she quickly typed up a text after wiping her right hand dry on her jeans . 'Me & Cory are @ the stream...meet up with us if you can...' Cadence then scrolled through her contacts, which didn't take long seeing as the name she was looking for was near the top, and sent it to Archimedes. Once it was sent, she shoved the phone back in her jacket pocket, waiting for a response patiently.
They will not force us They will stop degrading us They will not control us We will be victorious, so come on

Thorne James Ramiro
Thorne opened his eyes slowly his head pounding and his vision blurry. His sheets were tangled in and around his limbs from the thrashing and turning that he had done the night before. A strangled yawn escaped him and he grappled with the idea of just not getting up that day. It wasn’t as if anyone would notice. No, he had slowly disappeared into the background of things after all the drama. He had faded just as he had done his junior year and he spent his newfound existence watching and getting back to his normal self. He felt so much better now that he knew who he was, understood what he was and what he wasn’t. He was a teenager, a troubled one who was just a bit sadistic and didn’t give a damn. He was the biological son of James Matherson, but not his real son. He could not live up to the man’s expectations. He was not a brother in any sense of the word. He was merely biologically related to the girl, Kat. He was not a boyfriend or a lover. He was just himself. He would never try to live up to anyone’s standards of him. He would just be Thorne, the guy that most people hated because of his sarcastic comments and blasé attitude. Nothing else. He didn’t exactly hang out with anyone from school. He had taken to going to some of the local clubs instead and hanging with whomever else had a waste of a life. He and Lorrie avoided each other like the plague and acted as polite strangers. Yea, everything seemed to be getting back to its normal self.
Struggling out of bed, Thorne took a cursory glance of himself in the mirror. Hmm he could use a shave, but then again who was going to care? Not him. Stumbling over to his bathroom he ran his hands through his hair in his version of brushing it. It back to its long slightly curled mess, and for the most part he let it do whatever the hell it wanted. He also fit back into his own clothes, thank God. He had given the ones his sister bought him to his new…well. The slamming of the door disrupted his internal monologue, but he continued getting ready unsurprised. “Good Morning!” An optimistically cheerful voice yelled to him. The disturbance was something expected since Thorne met him, or rather since the boy came crashing into him. It was annoying, it was agitating, and above all it was God damn painful.
“Shut up.” Thorne growled at the presence now in his room who he could hear tripping and stumbling over all the crap laying on the floor. “You know, you are extremely grouchy in the morning,” the voice remarked from the other room unperturbed by Thorne’s mood. Thorne merely rolled his eyes as he came back into his room and pulled on some baggy jeans and a black t-shirt; he didn’t put on a coat despite the chilly weather because he was currently missing his and hadn’t gotten around to get a new one. However, Caleb was there sprawled on his bed in his neon colors as if he owned the place. Caleb was like that, in your face and friendly. That was why Thorne hesitated to call him a friend, since it felt more like Caleb forced his company on Thorne than an actual mutual friend. “You look terrible,” Caleb mentioned cheerfully. Thorne merely looked at Caleb before shaking his head and muttering, “Idiot”. He continued getting his things together. Money, knife, cell phone, all in his pockets before heading out the door Caleb trailing happily behind him babbling about whatever the hell he usually talked about. “…so then I said no way, the sky would be soooo much better if it was purple instead of blue because blue can be such a sad color, but she said that she thought it would be better yellow ‘cause then it would match the sun’s rays’ colors. But, how does she know what color light the sun gives off anyway…”
Thorne merely nodded tuning out Caleb. It had taken some getting used to, but now it didn’t take much to let Caleb’s voice fade to the background. They entered the café felicitating the same whispers and titters as usual as Thorne’s lack of color offset Caleb’s insane fashion style. Today he had chosen bright fall colors. Loud orange skinny jeans with a yellow belt with chains and purple converse with red laces created his bottom half. Up top, he was clad in a lime green t-shirt with a bright-red checkered lumber jack shirt. Two mismatched arm socks, one polka dot, the other striped, poked out from the long sleeves of his checkered shirt and a brown and maroon argyle scarf was wrapped around his neck. Mercifully, his head was lacking any head gear, though Thorne knew it would be just a matter of time before the kid pulled out his one hat that was complete with tassels. Rolling his eyes at Caleb for the fuss he created, Thorne said sarcastically, “Could you at least try to tone down the colors. You’re gonna make everyone blind.” Caleb only shook his head happily as he got into line for milk as he replied, “I’ve only got bright colors in my closet…I mean once I did try on your clothes but they were kinda too big.”
“Wait, what?” Thorne asked in disbelief. He stared at Caleb and blinked. This guy had no sense of personal space. He was always in your business and your things, and the one moment you had of peace away from him, he just came crashing head-first into you. Caleb picked up a milk jug unperturbed by Thorne’s death glare, “Oh ya know, you were out at some club or somethin’, so I decided to take a look in your closet.”
“Are you trying to make me kill you,” Thorne ground out. Caleb glanced at him and pouted his eyes wide and his lower lip out. His ridiculousness was agitating so Thorne rolled his eyes yet again, and sighed…heavily.
He wasn’t hungry, as usual. Mornings always made food look disgusting to him. Caleb on the other hand did not seem to have that problem and piled up his plate with eggs, sausage, hash browns and anything else that seemed remotely edible. Thorne made a face and looked away distracting himself from the sight of disgusting scrambled eggs with the sight of the crowded cafeteria. It was then that his eyes wandered to his previous table, the one he used to sit at. Every time he entered, he couldn’t help but glance at it—a habit he couldn’t break. However, instead of his eyes flicking away after an instant, his gaze stayed his brows furrowing as a familiar yet foreign item displaced the image of normality he had come to expect. A leather jacket…no, his leather jacket was sitting at the table worn by a girl. But that would be impossible since he had given it away, and that girl was gone. Caleb’s buzzing voice cut into his puzzlement and Thorne shook his head eluding the questioning thoughts. But, his eyes once again traveled to the jacket as Thorne followed Caleb in the line, and the longer he looked, the more certain he became that it was her.
Thorne quickly tore his gaze away and looked at the bright visage that Caleb portrayed as he cheerfully went about the menial tasks of getting breakfast. “Look,” Thorne interrupted Caleb’s chatter his tenor surly, “I’m going to class. I’ll see you later.”
And without another word, Thorne sulked out of the cafeteria hands in pocket. He blinked in the sudden sunlight as he started to head to his class. God, what he wouldn’t do for a cig right now.

Mitsukai slightly listened in on the conversation going on around her. She could scarcely make out the bits and pieces, and only nodded when conversation seemed to drift towards her. After awhile, Mitsukai wasn’t feeling up to the conversation going on anymore. It was a weird thing, since she was so commonly known for the girl who talked too much. However, Mitsukai had changed. She was working on bringing that girl back to life but it would take some time and according to the school, some serious therapy. “Hey guys, ima go to class.” Mitsukai announced, as she walked out of the cafeteria.
She hadn’t headed straight to class, but instead towards a more vacant part of the courtyard. She quickly dove through her bag and pulled out a now needed necessity. She opened the small box, and pulled out a cancer stick. Mitsukai put it in her chapped lips and lit it, taking a deep breath of all its deadly chemicals. She smoked like a pro, which seemed unlikely considering she had only begun the habit two weeks ago, right after her sisters death. Mitsukai thought over the moment of her first smoke, during which Cory came out and screamed at her. Her reaction was to shrug her shoulders and go into her own silent world. Magically it helped her think, and she was relived that her mind wasn’t so cluttered by the emotions she’d typically endure. It wasn’t the first time she felt the sensation of smoking. She had that all provided through years worth of memories given to her by her powers. Though, experiencing it first hand was new, and she couldn’t deny the fact that she had coughed the first dozen times.
Once her fix was gone, she headed towards class. The walk was something that seemed like a distant memory though she was thankful that she finally had the opportunity to be home. Every step seemed to be her own form of therapy, one where she felt as if her troubles were truly only temporary.
“Hello Mrs. Robertson.”
It was an instant response, since Mitsukai knew she had to spend her time getting all of her schoolwork. The teacher smiled at her as she handed her a textbook sized packet of makeup work. “We missed you.” The aged teacher said. Mitsukai looked up at her, and took her lined face and her twinkling eyes. . “Sure seems like it.” Mitsukai joked, as she flipped halfheartedly through the pages. “It’s good to be back though.”
After a moment of silence, Mitsukai looked up at the adult to see if there was more she needed to say. By the sudden sympathetic look in her eyes, there certainly was. “Are you okay?” She asked in a hush tone, although there was no one in the room. Mitsukai forced herself to laugh, ignoring the pounding pain the memories of her two weeks away. “Now now, Mrs. Roberson, I have to save all that for my therapist.” Mitsukai joked, as she walked away towards the very back of the classroom, and sat down at the very last desk.
Mitsukai suddenly felt a rush of pity, not only from the teacher but also from the now entering students. Each student looked at her with sad eyes. Though, some seemed to think it as funny, and snickered about it. Mitsukai knew that most likely, none knew why she had suddenly disappeared and she’d be bombarded with questions. It wasn’t an appealing future, but a quickly coming one. Especially since a girl was walking right towards her.
“Okay spill, why have you magically been gone for two weeks?”Mitsukai looked up at the girl with blank eyes, giving her the expression that it was none of her business. It seemed to anger the gossip-seeking teenager, since she huffed and walked away. Sadly, that probably wouldn’t have been the last of it, and the next girl would probably be far more persistent.
Once she felt alone, Mitsukai pulled out her iPhone and searched the web. There was nothing major, just the new habits she formed. First, she started with checking the news in Japan. Before her trip, she wasn’t too interested in her homeland. Now, since her mother had now moved there, she was obsessed with it. Mitsukai was clinging to the last bit of family she had, since she had next to none she was related to. Nor her Mother or her Father had siblings, and their parents were long gone. The only family Mitsukai had left alive was her Mother, who had now moved to the other side of the world to stay away from her. None of it was unexpected though, and nether was Mitsukai’s sudden obsession with her homeland. She had even begun practicing her Japanese again, a language she had almost forgotten.
Mitsukai continued to mess with her phone as she waited for class to start. By the look of the giant pile of work on her desk, today was going to be a long day.

Kyuubi enjoyed the conversation that went on. He laughed when people said something funny and responded when he was talked to. He looked at his very simple phone to see the time. Class should be starting soon. "See ya everyone, gotta start heading to class." he stated smiling to all his friends then heading out of the cafeteria.
Walking down the halls he thought about what he might encounter in the coming classes today. He knew he had a test in one of them. He sighed and just kept walking. He looked at all the students gossiping and just chatting. He never got tired at how different the school was from his own dimension. He frowned at the thought of going back. He was just glad summer was a long way away.
Once he made it to class he looked out the window like usual, after greeting the teacher and some of the students he knew. It was bright despite being a kind of cold day. He smiled he could keep it warm around himself, he chuckled at the thought. Then he noticed that the air had been staying the same temperature around him for a while now. He nearly laughed loudly at that. It must have been Mitsukai coming back. That had taken a lot of stress off seeing her again. He knew today would be a good day.

After scanning Juliette’s schedule, Joseph was pleased to find out that he had another class with her. So far, this girl had blown him away, and Joseph had already considered her one of his best friends. Sadly, they didn’t share any classes with Nikky and Mitsukai, which was kind of a dud. There would be nothing better than to have all of his best friends in one class.
Once he finished reading, he was surprised by a vibrate in his pocket. He looked down to read the text, which was surprisingly from Nikol, Mitsukai’s friend from Georgia. ‘How’s kai?’ It asked; which seemed to p***k Joseph’s curiosity. He quickly typed an answer that stated she was better than before, and then requested to know what happened in Georgia. Once he was done, he pulled his attention back to the conversation, just barley missing Juliette’s comment about it being such a shame that she shared no classes with Kai or Nikky.
“Hey guys, ima go to class.” Joseph watched Mitsukai walk off, wondering about the things that could have gone down in Georgia. She hadn’t told anyone, and scarcely talked to Joseph while she was gone. Of course, there had been ridiculous rumors that Cory and her had a hot get-to-gather, and remained together for the remainder of the week he was there. It was the closest insight to what could have been going on, though Joseph knew that had to be a lie. Cory left because an old family friend had cancer. Honestly, the only thing that Joseph was sure of was most likely Hana was dead, since Cory left in a hurry. It was something he wasn’t going to bring up until Mitsukai did. Yet, he wasn’t sure if he could wait for her to open up.
Once Mitsukai walked away, Juliette seemed to be getting up to. Joseph look at her for a second, then got up also. It was time to go to class. He walked over to Nikky, and grabbed her hand, leaving it with a kiss. “Goodbye my fair lady.” Joseph joked, and gave a small bow. He then looked up at her with a smirk. “See you after school.” Joseph said, in reference to their plan on her talking skills. He made sure too never say it all upright in public, but he wanted to let her know they were still on. He was not going to give up on her.
With one last goodbye, Joseph walked off with Juliette. They were halfway to class when she looked up at him in curiosity. “Soooo, are you going to ask her to the dance?” She said with a gleaming smile. His response was to roll his eyes. “I don’t know yet, I mean, I’d like to go with her. But…” Joseph wasn’t sure how to answer that. He didn’t need to, since Juliette finished his sentence.
“But… you don’t wanna ruin your friendship?”
She seemed to nail it right on spot. He wasn’t sure how he felt about Nikky anymore, which by all means was good for her. He used to be sure that they were friends, and that’s all they’d ever be. He never saw her as sexy, cute, or even really attractive. Sure, he knew she was beautiful, but the thought of kissing her seemed alien to him. Lately, it was all he could think about. It worried him, because before all he could think about was L. He was practically in love with her, and had been since 9th grade. However, L wasn’t there anymore, and when Joseph saw her, his heart didn’t pound as it used to. He didn’t think about her that much anymore, and when he did, it wasn’t romantically. He missed her friendship, and he missed how much fun she was. Yet, he didn’t feel like kissing her anymore. Instead, he dreamed of Nikky.
Nikky, sweet Nikky. The truth was, she was too sweet for him. She blushed easily, and she acted shy. She rarely dated, and when she did she was head over heals. Joseph was scared of girls like her, and scared of what he’d do to them. Or, what they’d do to him. What would happen to their friendship if something happened? What if Joseph was too much for her? He was a player by all means, and he wasn’t sure he was right for Nikky. Yet, all he thought about was her.
“Something like that, I still have time to think about it don’t I?”
Juliette responded with a shaking head. “The dance is tomorrow.”
Great, just great.
