Kaori's eyes widened as she saw the glow and she yelped in surprise as it suddenly burst upwards. She shut her eyes again, bowing her head nervously. After a moment, she hesitantly opened one eye, then looked at the shards of the orange stone that still lay in her hand. She blinked several times and then glanced back at Gordon. "So, that was... it?" she murmured. "I don't feel too different..." She open and closed her hands several times, just staring at it.

Then she turned to face Kai and smiled faintly. "Hello, how are your injuries doing?" she asked, her eyes sweeping along the bandages. She bit her lip nervously as she saw fresh blood there, especially in his right hand, and she frowned in confusion as she saw he was holding Skylar on his back. He's... moved on already? she thought in surprise, and maybe alarm as well.

Kai gaped at Kaori for a moment, seeing the glow shoot upwards and then hearing Gordon's words. He blinked at the male, catching the stone as it was tossed at him. He gazed at it a moment, then frowned. "Ok..." he said uncertainly. "Thanks." But he didn't crush it just yet. First he leaned back, letting Skylar slip away from him. He left his shirt and boots draped over his arm as he took a few steps away from her.

He faced Kaori at her question and nodded his head. "Yeah, I'm fine," he assured her, but paused as he saw her face held obvious traces of tears. "Are you ok?" he asked, seeing her biting her lip. But then he glanced aorund at everyone again, making sure no one was too close, before suddenly crushing the stone he'd been given as well. It didn't appear that it'd caused Kaori any pain, but he didn't want to take any chances of endangering anyone. He'd seen those machines shaking...

Kai stared around at the glow surrounding him, then blinked as it faded. He turned his hands over in front of him, but honestly didn't feel at all different either. He glanced back at Gordon as he explained a little about it and then frowned as Mergex was mentioned. "You mean you didn't kill him? But if he needs to train, that means he was defeated right? Can't you go and finish him quickly before he recoveres and strengthens?" His eyes flicked back to Kaori, who'd kept silent as if hoping that would allow her not to answer.

Kaori gazed back at the glare Kai was giving her, but finally caved in. She bowed her head to the floor, tail tightly around her waist. "I'm fine too," she murmured but knew it probably sounded as truthful as his claims. Just like there was fresh blood on his bandages, there were new tears on her face to give it away.

She sighed, clenching her fist around the purple stone which held Sai. "I was just... thinking," she finally said, head still bowed in shame. "But I'm ok. And... and Gordon's invited us to his planet!" she added hastily, knowing that would be more than enough to get Kai off the subject.

It worked. Kai's eyes instantly darted back to Gordon, widened in surprise. "What...?" he asked in surprise. "What does she mean? She doesn't actually mean a different planet, does she?"

" No..Mergex is hiding himself. Besides I want to fight him at his fullest so he knows that he gave it everything he had when he is defeated." Gordon said smiling. He looked over at the new girl. He didn't know who she was but her aura was famailar somewhat..but diffrent.

" And yes I do mean another planet. And yeah there are more shiny things" Gordon said. Suddenly there was a stumbling noise. Shepard had gotten out of bed and was now walking down the hall. rather limping.


" Gordon! Give me those pills Hk said you had! I know they heal. There like the juice but condensed. Give one to me." Shepard said pissed that Gordon had forgotten to metion that fact. Gordon pulled out the bottle and looked worried.

" I haven't tested them yet. I don't know the sideffects" Gordon said concerned. But Shepard grabbed the bottle and took out a pill. He ate it whole. His eyes seemed to widen. Suddenly he ripped his bandages off.

" See..nothing..just sour thats all. I feel rengerized though. i feel like I can take on a hundred people! Here Kai you need this. I don't want to step in puddles of blood as I walk out. My shoes are new" he said cockily and threw a red pill at Kai.

Skylar smiled at Gordon, hearing about the shiny things. "YEAH! Very shiny, or just.... shiny?" she continued, still preocupied. After a moment, though, she saw the pill and looked over at Kai, watching its progression to him. She did hope, however, that he wouldn't take it; Shepard could not show side effects for a year for all they knew. S'il vous plait... n'prende pas..., she thought, but sighed a mental releif as he said he wouldn't. She also remembered, though, that he had been bleeding before, and saw that he seemed to still be bleeding. "I-I should go get some new bandages for you," she said hurridly, bowing slightly before starting off to get some from somewhere; it was a hospital, she surely wouldn't have to go far to get them.

"Feh," Kai muttered, eyes narrowing. "I can heal quickly enough by normal means. I don't need your untested drugs." He tossed the pill back towards Shepard, his fists clenching. Kill him! He insulted you, kill him! Kai closed his eyes, forcing the voice into the back of his head. Then he looked around, distracting himself by smiling at how excited Skylar grew at the thought of shiny things. She was like a cat or something...

He paused as she suddenly decided to rush off for more bandages. He frowned as he saw her leave and then looked down at his right hand. Another drip of blood fell down and he suddenly realized a puddle had been growing on the floor beside him. He frowned again and clenched his hand before looking at his chest. Sure enough, small trickles of blood were working their way down and to his stomach before he smeared them away.

Kaori watched everything silently from the sidelines, still perched in her seat against the wall by the strange machine that spat out drinks. She blinked a couple times, watching Kai toss the pill back. She was somewhat relieved he didn't take it too. The thought of side effects had her paranoid. As Shepard began taunting him, she frowned and shook her head. "Well, when your injuries suddenly return in the middle of battle, don't come running to us," she said bluntly. "Or if all your hair falls out, or your skin changes color, or-"

She cut off in surprise as something nosed its way out of her jacket and she blinked, watching the small dragon show himself, blinking his eyes sleepily. She started at him for a moment, then pulled him from the hidden pocket and held him in her lap. "Have a nice nap?" she asked softly.

" Shut up or maybe restoring Kai will slip my mind and he is stuck in that stone for an even longer time." Shepard said catching the pill." Coward. A true warrior would be willing to take any risk. i see your just another demon." he said frowning. Gordon just shook his head and sighed.


Shepard suddenly looked at the girl that had just walked in. " Here take this. Its much faster and easier than this place. It'll heal those burns right up" he said going up to the girl and handing her the pill.

Skylar had been running around, trying to look for a nurse who wasn't actually buisy with someone else. After a few minutes, though, she finally found one and they helped her get some bandages before she rushed off once again to find Kai and the others. She was slightly at a run down the halls, avoiding nurses, doctors and patients, when she saw them all at the end of the hall. She slowed slightly, eyes narrowed as she continued to near the scene; what had happened? After a few moments, she'd finally arrived by Kai's side and crouched before leaning on her knees, the bandages in hand. She looked over at him and tilted her head, as though asking what was happening. Quelle faire sont-ils? she thought, allowing her eyes to run over the scene before returning their gaze to Kai.

Kai shook his head as he watched Skylar approached and heard her question. Then he frowned and glanced between all the people before letting his focus return fully to her. "Well, Kaori's yelling at Shepard because he got pissed off and threatened not to let Sai out of that stone," he muttered, nodding his head towards the purple stone Kaori was still tightly clutching in her hand. "Now he's trying to get that girl to take the pill, and Kaori's trying not to let him." A faint smirk came to Kai's face as he obviously thought this was all pretty amusing. Then his eyes flicked to the bandages Skylar held and he waited patiently until she'd offer them to him.

Kana came staggering into the hospital, still supporting the injured man by holding his arm around her shoulder. She was very thankful the other guy had come in and offered to help, even though it was none of his concern and he could have easily overlooked it. She was still biting her lip from the strain of supporting this male though as she looked around anxiously, jumping slightly as the other guy rang the bell.

A nurse approached them, her eyes quickly glancing along the male's destroyed chest. Then she ushered them forward into an empty room where Kana was finally relieved of the load. She lowered him gently to the bed, letting the other guy help her. Then she backed up as the nurse went to work, quietly explaining how the guy had jumped in the way and been hit by a bolt of some kind of energy. She honestly didn't have any idea what it was...

Once the nurse had him in bed and attached to various machines, including an oxygen mask and an IV, she allowed herself to collapse in a chair. She was trembling visibly as she clutched at herself again, still biting her lip to keep from crying. But she slowly raised her head and offered the male who'd helped a very weak smile. "Th-thank you very much..." she murmured.
