Suka could now see that her cheeks had redened since she was not looking away and he kept his brow from raising all of the way up as he watched her expression and listened to what she said as she continued to deny it more. "Why do you insist that you don't look pretty?" he said and turned completely towards her in the water as he waited for her response quietly the same concerned look on his face, though confusion was now added to the mixture of emotion he showed.

Karin blinked at Suka several times, trying to think of an answer to his question. She'd never met someone who asked things so bluntly before. "Well, because I'm just... not," she finally ended up mumbling, glancing down at the water again. "And no one's ever told me I was, so... I'm not." She shook her head a couple times, closing her eyes once more. She knew how dumb she probably sounded, and currently felt like crawling into a hole. And now she even seemed to be worrying him about something stupid that didn't even matter.

Suka let her finish and did not say anything for a moment as the confusion left from his face and a little bit of the concern did aswell. From the stories she'd been telling him, it did not seem that there were many people that were nice in any way. "Just because nobody has never told you before does not mean that if someone does they're wrong...if noone ever told you that grass was green when someone does then they are not wrong..." and before he started to feel like he was trying to explain something to a litle kid, hoping he did not sound that way, he added more. "I could have said beautiful-yet that would be awkward I think...the point is I did not lie and you should not refuse my compliment like that..." he sighed "Now accepted it like a big girl..." he said now smiling as he waited for her response...he had said it all so hurriedly he was not sure if all of it got through

Karin stared at him a moment, slowly taking in his words and thinking them over. He'd spoken quickly, but she thought she'd caught them all... She sighed softly, rubbing the back of her head awkwardly. "You're... right," she mumbled quietly. "Sorry I overreacted." She glanced around, then rubbed lightly at her face. When she pulled her hands away, it was no longer red and she was smiling faintly. She laughed quietly at his last comment, chosing not to take offense. She bowed her head apologetically as she nodded. "Well... thank you very much," she said quietly, then looked bcak up with a grin. "You're not so bad looking yourself," she continued and then added teasingly, "when you're wet."

Suka laughed a bit at the last part of what she said and "Well I thank you kindly" he said smiling and yawning a bit "Why do I feel so tired all of a sudden?" he asked pulling himself up out of the water and looking down at her quietly as if waiting for her to answer his question. He sighed as he waited thinking over a few things and closing his eyes.

xhel giggled at myth's antics as she opened the picture. "oh my goodness it's gorgeous" she said. "i just draw people, well comics really. ill show you my sketch pad some time....oh shoot! my bag is back at the arena." at this point she began whispering to a bird in the nearby underbrush. as the bird took flight she turned back to myth "well it'll be here soon enough" she said. "ok i think it's time to just bask in some steam" she said as she melded into a snake and slithered up the side of the spring and into a nearby loungechair. she turned human once again and sprawled out on the chair.

Karin laughed quietly, then shook her head, finally venturing to move the hair from its place blocking her right eye. she shifted in slightly so it appeared as if she now had both her golden eyes focused upon him. Her head tilted slightly as she listened to his question. Then she shrugged, glancing around. "Well, the hotsprings can have a relaxing effect," she nodded. "Maybe it's just making you feel sleepy?" She watched his eyes close and then slowly leaned back against the edge up to her neck, exhaling softly. Her ears twitched as she caught the sound of others talking, but she chose to ignore it.

"well..that's a neat trick" myth said as he watched her change. "so, are you a shape shifter, or a changeling?" myth stood up, and jumped from the rock back onto the ground near the chair she now reclined on. ((sorry for the short post... my brain's a bit messed up at the moment..))

Suka thought over her words and sighed a bit as he began to dry off. He opened his eyes and looked down at her through the water...it could have just been the refraction of the water, but it looked like there was something on her side. A scar or something...he did not pay too much attention to it, though if she got out and did not grab her towel right waway he wouldmake sure to se what it was. If he asked her about it now it might leave him looking like an idiot if it was really nothng, and so he payed no more attention to it, moving over so that he sat directly behind her.

Karin glanced at him from the corner of her eye, blinking as he sighed. Did he not like it here? He was already out of the water too... She smiled faintly at the thought of the wolf retreating from the water before the cat, but was brought back as she felt something move behind her. She leaned her head back further, staring up at Suka upside down. "Yes?" she asked, wondering if he had moved behind her for a particular reason. Anyway, it was making her feel a little uncomfortable as she continued watching him upside down, not wasting the effort needed to actually turn and face him.

Suka blinked a couple of times leaning over a bit to look directly into her eyes from that position. "How much time do you usually spend at hotsprings?" he asked quietly his hands on either side of him as he kept his balance looking into her upside down eyes his tail shaking off what water was still dripping off of it. He waited for her to answer him for he was getting botred, though he wouldn't mind if she wanted to stay longer...watching her sit there was not all as dull as it could be...

Karin shrugged slightly, still watching him. She pictured what it probably would have looked like to someone who may have been watching, and a soft smile came over her face. "Well, quite a bit actually... If I'm bored with nothing else to do, I head over here." She smiled, nodding slightly. "I've found it kinda recharges me or something. Plus, it just feels really good!" She grinned at him now, still watching him upside down as she blinked. "I'm fine now though, if you want to move on somewhere else...?"

Suka thought for a moment still looking in her eyes as he did. "Well...I do not know if there is a particular place I'd like to go...but a change of venue would be nice." he said and then moved a bit and shook his head to dry it off a bit as water went from his haird toward her face. The hair fell in front of his eyes lightly and now less wet and less apt to stick to his eyes and he sighed in relief, unable to see through the thick hair as he waited for her to respond, posibly even suggest a place for them to go.

Karin stared back at him as he replied, still viewing things upside down. Her eyes shut quickly as he shook his head and the water dripped towards her, and then she sat up, wiping her face. She flicked some water off her hand and towards him, but paused a ssh esaw his hair before his eyes again. She laughed and pushed it aside more gently than the last swat she'd done. Her head tilted to the right, causing her hair to again cover that eye as she slowly nodded. "Ok, then let's move somewhere! But I picked the last two places, so now it's your turn." She nodded firmly again and then climbed from the water, shaking her head side to side to fling some water away as well. Her tail was flicking as well, drying itself slowly. After a second, Karin finally reached for her towel and draped it around herself. She'd forgotten about hiding her scar until just then.

Suka blinked a couple times as his hair was moved and when she had moved out from in the water he watched for view of the scar. When he found it he stood up quietly letting her grab her towel before asking her the question he'd waited for this long to ask. "Karin...how big is that scar?" he asked, this only beingthe first of what could be many questions if she did not explain everything that happened from this firstquestion.
