"Hell if I know. He wants the three of us dead, and already managed it with one. And he something kind of weird to me. Something like, 'Are you headmaster, yet?' Don't recall quite how he phrased it. But he already knew I would make an attempt at leadership. How did he know that was going to happen? And that's the only reason I figure you're the Retired Librarian. He wants those who have lead the academy dead. But then he kidnapped Ren, Kaimen's former student, and let him come back. The kid had a scroll on him from the man, but he came back without having been harmed. So maybe he's after the students, and wants to get rid of us to make it easier? If that's so, then he may be after those that are under you, as well."
The voice in Nekojiri's head pauses. Partly because she's monitoring Ren and Ookamimaru. Does the Tsuchi student not know how to listen? She told him to run if things get really violent. To her, things seem to be calming down, even if all present are on edge. At least Ookamimaru is following orders. On the other side, she's gathering her thoughts and trying to figure the best way to phrase her next words.
"I don't trust you, Nekojiri. I'm sure you know that. And I'm sure you figure I want to make sure you're punished for the things you've done to my friend and my student. But I've got another problem, and possibly a bigger one. This Bao guy is a clever little snake in the grass. He told Ren some half truths about Kaimen, and I figure he was trying to turn the kid against us. And I won't be surprised if he tries to play you or I in order to destroy the other. But if one of us dies, he's got that much less standing in his way, and as horrible as I think your ambitions are, I'm much more afraid of what this b*****d has got planned. If it comes down to it, we're both gonna live at least a little longer, both gonna have a better chance of carrying out our personal goals, if we're mutually against him. After he's gone, then we can settle our differences. Your thoughts?"

The mist/fog that was lingering in the air didn't disappear. It started to become heavier, limiting visibility to the point of which someone wouldn't be able to see three feet in front of them. There was a sudden spike in chakra behind Tutsumi and Reeve before the signature hid itself again. Whoever owned the signature of chakra- they wanted to be noticed.

Reeve, still in a high rage, cradles his head for a moment before reaching to the sky in futility. "Done," he exclaims somewhat dully. This was just too much. Too...irritating, to the point that he, Reeve, was actually willing to wait and attack Nekojiri at a later date. It's summer, time for bonfires and gin and tonic, not all this drama, and that's exactly what he finds himself wanting at this particular juncture. But, as he turns to leave again, a foreboding chakra spike grabs his attention. His eyes narrow again and out comes the knife again. "What fresh hell is this...?"

"Neko, I think you've lost your spot to--"
Feeling the spike shoot up behind him, he closed his eyes as he took in a deep breath, feeling the energy in his body circulate with his breath. A bit more energy was focused toward his back, allowing him to sense an attack that would be aimed at it a little better.
"Seems we have another pest? Reeve, quick run down on this one, can I kill him?"
He wasn't one that liked someone to intrude in on what he was doing, even more so since this was fairly personal...

"Well that's interesting. If there's one thing he's good at, it's hiding. I haven't been able to find him yet, but I know that I can't lose this Academy. I'll work with you, but for the time being you better keep your men in check. I have a feeling I'll have to use my full force against this man, and if my men are forced to defend themselves, I can't guarantee your safety. I don't want any of you dead, after all."
Neko seems to have his speech cut short as his attention remains on the mist. It shouldn't act like this. Then, the energy spike caught his attention, but not completely. Neko's own energy grew a little, the mist growing even thicker as he monitors it, sensing where people were by how the water moved.
"That's not one of your people, unless I'm mistaken."
"Ishira. Stand up. Calm down, and release your seals. Now. you didn't let your emotions hold you back during the first parts of your training, don't let them now."

To Iri's utter shock, she feels the spike in energy. It's not that her spies sensed the push in the air caused by it. She actually feels it. For the first time, she's felt an energy signature. That's odd. When did that happen? She waits for the ancestors in the back of her mind to comment. There's an ominous silence. They're not talking, but she still feels them. She brushes the thought aside. That will have to wait for later.
"Agreed. And that one is most definitely not mine."
Iri kind of switches frequencies in her head, reaching out to Tutsumi and Reeve.
"Don't worry about Nekojiri for now. If he starts fighting, just get out of his way. This one is our common enemy, and Nekojiri's agreed to work against him with us. I don't necessarily like this situation, but it's better than fighting a two front war, right?"
Last, Iri talks to Ookamimaru via her spy. The orb lights up and hovers in front of his face.
"Time to go, buddy. Just follow the bright light."
Without another word, the orb takes off toward the Ho Dojo. And hopefully, Ookamimaru follows it.

Ishira hissed at the voice and grabbed Kyuus wrist viscously. She couldnt feel the spike so she had no clue some one else was around and just figured the 'pest' Tut was talking about was herself. She didnt balance her thoughts at all, nor did she try to balance her emotions, showing her anger and now revolt against Neko. She dismissed his words as she walked away from everyone, getting lost into the mist around her and Kyuu. "You will listen Kyuu, or ill let that man take you." She snarled at the child as she pulled her along by her wrist.
Kyuu felt the presence, and tried to send what she felt to Ishira, but she couldnt. The woman was blocking everything out. Tutsumi released the Hikari, but instead of rushing back to Kyuus back, it surrounded Ishira and Kyuu. Kyuu lifted her free hand to one, and suddenly all of them disappeared by a silent command. Kyuus eyes went to Ishira widely and she then bowed her head. "Yes.. Mother..."

Reeve is of the opinion that a two-front war is roughly equivalent to two birds and one stone, but he doesn't argue with Iri. He tilts his head toward Nekojiri. What he was saying to Ishira was fair advice, and, though he admits it grudgingly, he could do with it himself. He takes a deep breath, and closes his eyes. When they open, it's as if he had rowed out of the maelstrom of anger and is now floating, calm and focused. " Brevity and rate of flicker with no lingering suggest moderate distance but...great power...." In keeping with the nautical metaphor, it struck Reeve like the brief second the lighthouse spots you. There and gone, but you have a pretty good idea.

There was a rustling of tree branches from above Ishira. Bao Steel landed in a crouched position front of her. He reached behind with one hand to put it against Ishira's back and came up fast with a sucker punch. He had focused chakra to the edge of his knuckles so the force would be strong enough to knock the wind out of her; possibly knocking her unconscious. The hand against her back was meant to stop her from flying backwards from the punch. Bao's voice came from where Ishira's position was. "A bright observation Rhion Reeve..! It warms my heart to hear that kind of intellect around this Academy. So many blunt assumptions get thrown about so carelessly. Like that man who thinks he can kill me, hehehe..!"

"Says the man who thinks I can't kill him."
He was of the belief similar to Reeve, fighting both head on would allow them to get rid of both enemies at the same time. However, as he hears no reply back from Reeve he sighs and sits on the ground in a meditative seating position. He places his fingertips together, having his palms up and allowing his hands to take a cup like figure.
His eyes still closed, he took another deep breath and started to circulate his finer energy through his body, filtering the more massive energy into a more streamlined, pure form. It would take a few moments for him to have enough to really do combat, but with this he wouldn't have to worry.
"Now hear the fourfold roots of everything: Enlivening Hera, Hades, shining Zeus And Nestis, moistening mortal springs with tears.
QÄ«ng Lóng, hear my resonance. ZhÅ« Què, feel my passion. Bái HÇ”, sharpen my fallacy. Xuán WÇ”, calm my heart. Huáng Lóng, also known as thy Kirin and QàLÃÂn, merge all beings and be my core to create my shinkidou and bring forth godaidou..."

With a great pulse of energy, the mist was dispersed. Neko's eyes quickly darted around, taking in everything, until they came to rest on Bao and Ishira. He narrowed his eyes, the quickest forms of action too dangerous to use when he was that close to her. Several more signatures popped up as people emerged from the forest. The woman with the spear stepped out, and two other cloaked figures, all watching carefully for an opening. Neko rushed towards bao, aiming to grab at anything he could get his hands on and throw the man away, into the waiting arms of anyone else.

Ishira didnt see it, didnt expect it, and certainly didnt sense it. Goddess, if she had, she would have fought. But suddenly there was a man right there, when before she could have seen no one. She couldnt help but jump back, being stopped by his hand as it went to her back. Her eyes were wide, and she only had a second to look down and see his fist make contact with her. She couldnt see it, but hell she knew his chakra was going to be wrapped around his fist. She felt her breath leave forcefully and everything darker. Goddess, why didnt Neko release her seals? Why did she still have to be human? If she wasnt human, this hit wouldnt be sending her into the spiral that it was. Within moments, she was out.
Kyuu let out a full fledge scream when the man hit Ishira. She felt her mother figure slip out of consciousness quickly and cursed in the back of her mind, wishing she had more control over her mother figures and father figures powers. If she had, maybe they would not be in this position and maybe the Hikari would not have left. She automatically went after the mans arms, clawing at them with her small hands and using the fangs her mother had given her to bite him. "Let go let go let go let go!" She shrieked.

Bao retracted his arm from the child so he could push her back with enough force to push over another adult. He then pulled out a tiny scroll from his pocket, the same scroll that Jin had confiscated from Ren earlier. "Quite rude to steal something that doesn't belong to you, isn't it?" Bao had re-summoned the scroll back into his possession before he came into sight like this. He did it when no one was looking at the floating orb of water that held it. He was about to unravel the scroll but Neko had cleared the mist. Bao's plan wasn't half baked, he had already taken into account what could possibly happen in a situation where you're surrounded.
Bao ripped the scroll open with his mouth and snapped his chakra en-coated fingers against it as a spark of electricity caught the small scroll on fire. He slapped the scroll against Ishira's stomach and she disappeared in a puff of smoke. The small scroll was now useless and would burn itself out in under half a minute as it fell to the ground.
He turned his attention to the oncoming Nekojiri, "I've been waiting to talk to you, Nekojiri! Surely none of the Sensei's or your men would be rude or cowardly enough to interrupt!" Bao stood up and waited until Neko got within melee range. He was pretending not to notice anyone else that might unleash an attack at random. He was prepared, which is why he revealed himself out in the open in the first place.

"'nderstood!" He said whild jumping on his feet. He hadn't felt the energy spike from that far obviously, but he didn't feel at ease either. "Ren, we go now" he beckoned while starting for the Orb where Iri's voice had come out from.
