She had just made the drop off, her falling to her knees once she realized what was wrong. "Jay!!" She hollered as she tried to reach down from him on her stomach. It didn't feel very good, it rather hurt, but at the time she was more concerned with helping him even though she knew that she wouldn't be able to reach him by far. "I'm... I'm going to look for a vine or something!" She called as she slowly got up, it being as fast as she could really get up, her trailing off and telling him to just hold on a bit longer.

"Rayne..." Jay said softly as his eyes closed and he gave a soft sigh, looking down and seeing the waves crashing up against the cliff. "Tomorrow. Six o'clock" He said softly as he looked down and said "I love you..." *As he smashed the end of his staff, the gem in the center coming out. Quickly he grasped it and let go, falling down from the cliff to his eminent death.

Silent Jay
"Rayne..." Jay said softly as his eyes closed and he gave a soft sigh, looking down and seeing the waves crashing up against the cliff. "Tomorrow. Six o'clock" He said softly as he looked down and said "I love you..." As he smashed the end of his staff, the gem in the center coming out. Quickly he grasped it and let go, falling down from the cliff to his eminent death.

She had never found anything and was just starting back when she heard his words and him drop from the cliff, him plummeting into death. She barely even heard most of the words, her hand covering her mouth right away. Standing right at the edge of the cliff, they were so high up that the fall was deep, her not even being able to see the ground let alone him. Although, she was close enough to see all that was left.. his staff. Letting out a loud wail, she fell to her knees, getting sick over the fact that she.. just lost him. "I... I could have saved him!" She yelled out, pulling her book from her bag. She read something from it, the staff shaking then levitating to her reach. Once it did, she grabbed it, holding it as tight as she could, her never wanting to let go...

Eventually a splash was heard....but that was about it. There really wasn't much left to say. Before he hit the water he would slam the gem into chest, watching it dissolve before his very eyes. The added energy of the gem made his angelic eye shine brightly, and mere seconds before he landed a blinding light shone up in the air...then died

Pale sat down fully. She felt sick, it was unreal. She hated him...

She got up, and walked past the two others, no, there was three of them now. She saw Aes, saw that hateful look that was in his eyes when they discovered the remains of Kala. It scared her, because she remebered what had happened. It was late, dusk settling in, and she ran dep into the forest.

Now shaking uncontrollably, still clutching to the staff, she had just started to whisper his name as if it was going to bring him back. "I'm... I'm sorry I wasn't there for you just then." She said as the tears that were rolling down her cheek hit the ground. "I'm so sorry!" Shifting, she had finally broke out in all sorrow, everything around her vanishing as she couldn't help but remember her flaws... It was all her fault.

*Kas's face was pale as she made her way to the cliff, looking over the edge and just staring at it for a few minutes. Her eyes closed tightly, fighting back tears of sadness...but it didn't work. Her hands quivered as she brought them up to her face and began to weep, falling to her knees, just losing it. She couldn't believe it. Her brother was....dead!*

Aes's ki had been coming back to steadily, it was enough to allow him to run after Pale. He knew he had scared her. He forgot about ignoring her for the time being, and gave chase.

After a short chase, he reached a clearing, where he saw her, settled in the middle. He couldn't see her face, so there was no telling her condition. He sat with his back touching hers, and looked up at the sky.

"Mistress, there's hope left. He left behind a family that will remeber him, he's not dead yet." The words had been repeated for all the funerals as of late they had attended together. They weren't meant to be insightful, but to soothe her with somthing she found familiar.

"Don't tell me it's another Avalon, Aes, the dead don't come back here. " She buried her face in her knees and began to cry "This was supposed to be such a happy day for me too!" she said pathetically between sobs.

Using the staff, she pulled herself to her feet, and slowly began to walk away, tears still falling from her face, leaving a small trail behind her. Slowly, but surely, she drug herself back through the forest, just getting herself lost, her facial expression showing what seemed like hatred in someone... But it wasn't in him, it was in her. Not seemed to really even be able to walk, she fell again, slipping down the staff, her feelings consuming her, it just causing more tears.

He turned around to embrace her tightly as she cried up against him. He had seen her cry with joy at good news and births, but real tears of sadness were a disturbing sight. He cradled her to him and looked up at the fireflies starting to emerge.

"I always knew you would mate with that hanyou, it's an odd thing to be found correct in such a situation," he pulled back from her and locked eyes with her "We'll help Ms. Rayne together, everyone will. It can be got through."

Suddenly, his aura faded. If there was any indication that he was gone, that would probably be it. As his body fell to the depths of the sea, it seemed like he was hearing....voices?

In order to get stronger...you've got to push yourself to the limit. Your not getting any stronger by worrying about your friends and family. Let it all go...loose yourself in the moment
All right. I'll play your little game for now
I've already talked to you about the other issues. Your free to go

Go....where?

To train of course!

All right. I'll see you around
Jay...take care of yourself
I always seem to...say hi to mithos for me..and mom...and dad

You goin soft on me already?

I'll see you around Kratos....

It was good that someone was there to hold her, but when he said that they would get over it-

She moved back and turned around to slap him, forcing all her ki into her hand "I don't want to ******** get through this, and I'll wager neither does his damn wife!" she raised her hand to punch him. Normally she only showed her temper to Tsubasa, but Aes had caught her vulnerable.

*Kas's eyes would open as she looked down to the sea. *

"He's...not dead. He's still alive." *She said, arising to her feet and giving a small smile* "Kratos wouldn't let him die. I know it..."

*Suddenly, she felt better. Like a great burden was lifted off of her shoulders. She even forced a laugh. She would nod to herself, almost positive he was still alive, denying what she had thought she'd seen. Pushing it to the back of her mind...Jay would never die *

He grabbed both of her wrists so hard they nearly broke with the force, they would at least be intensly bruised. He had forgotten about his strength when he reacted out of reflex. Pinning her to the ground, Aes put his face up to hers.

The fire in his eyes died down, he got up off Pale, and patted the dirt now on his clothing.

"Respect the dead, but move on with your life. I've had to learn as such." before leaving her, he glanced back at her, laying down there with those oddly artificial blue eyes staring back at him "Be happy with your mate." and he was gone.
