The two stood on the mountain in the sky, looking out over the city below.
"Why do you want to protect this city from me?"
"Because... you're ******** crazy." Belial chuckled.
Valentine and Belial looked at each other and grinned.
"It's a shame that only one of us will leave here alive..." They both smirked.
The two froze when they heard a voice address them from behind.
"You two... are... optimistic..."
They turned, and found themselves face to face with what appeared to be a small army of tanned warriors.
"Oh... ********> Valentine gasped.

Dragon Sneeze Maria skidded her squad car into the empty parking lot of a supposedly abandoned warehouse. If it wasn't for the beam of red light shooting out the top of it one would agree. "Ready? We aren't going to have any back up here." she said to her new temporary partner. "Do we really need back-up?" Ward grinned removing a pistol from its holster. He cocked the piece and exited her car. "Come on Faulkhazen, let's party!"

"So does, he have to go this fast!?" Carol screamed as they sped down the main streets towards the red light. The cities exits were jammed with fleeing citizens. The world around them was tearing itself apart, the fear of the imminent destruction lurking in the air was enough to drive the good citizens of Capital City to a wild panic.
"Yes Carol, we gotta get there first, I don't want these Hunters getting there and potential get us all royally ********, Sovereign will touch down in a few seconds. He'll radio what at the scene to us. So relax you're here for defense, so don't be so worried. I'm not asking you to get out of the car if we can handle things." Reaper stared at the sky seeing Sovereign bolt through the sky tearing apart clouds. He tapped the side of his gas mask.
*King! What's the view like?*
*s**t, I can't make out the ground by the beam, Visual 23%. I'll radio like I said when I land Reaper. Don't sweat it.*
*You catch all that Soul?*
*Loud and clear kid, you be careful out there. I'm busy with a Meta boy, can tell by the way he carries himself, I'll be delayed from patrol for a while.*
*Copy* Reaper tapped his mask the turned his attention to his partner," Alright Rick, Put your foot through the damn floor man!"

The Kohr "So does, he have to go this fast!?" Carol screamed as they sped down the main streets towards the red light. The cities exits were jammed with fleeing citizens. Chamberlain looking sharp in his riding gloves, boots and goggles atop his classic Vincent Black Shadow Series D motorbike followed them and popped up onto the sidewalk for a second to avoid the vehicle. It was obvious he was enjoying himself.

The Kohr Dragon Sneeze Maria skidded her squad car into the empty parking lot of a supposedly abandoned warehouse. If it wasn't for the beam of red light shooting out the top of it one would agree. "Ready? We aren't going to have any back up here." she said to her new temporary partner. "Do we really need back-up?" Ward grinned removing a pistol from its holster. He cocked the piece and exited her car. "Come on Faulkhazen, let's party!" Maria walked to the back of her car and popped the trunk. "Ward in moments like these, you gotta know when to bring out the big guns." With that she lifted a giant gun of unknown design with a near four foot barrel and strapped it to her back. She then pulled out several smaller guns and strapped them to her body and slammed the truck closed. "Let's hit it."

A unknown man in a business suit gazed down at the city below and the meyhem that ensued. He put a hand up on the glass and smiled. "Look at them. Scurrying about like bugs. It sickens me." He turned and sat down in his comfy leather chair and spun around to face the young woman he was speaking to. "Melody Varnen. You come highly recommended to me."
Melody nodded and folded her arms in front of herself. A cocky smile played about her lips. "Eh, I've had a little fuun oover the sea. Dun think I didn'." she said with a thick Aussie accent. She was dressed in brown leather and khaki and her thick golden brown tresses bounced as she flipped her head.
"Right." the man continued, "So you can guarantee his death?"
Melody nodded. "As dead as youu want em to be. Extra dead caughst extra muny."
The man laughed and grinned evily. "Well, we'll just have to see how dead he is when you're done." He stood and walked toward the door. "I'm taking a private flight out. When you're done, contact me. I expect the head of Zackariah Isaak Ryder to be forthcoming." With that he left.
Melody cracked her knuckles and chuckled. "I'm cummin for ya Zackee."

The Kohr Vmak The Kohr Vmak The Kohr Leon paused in his hasty retreat and turned to see who called his name."Oh Ms. McDaniel, what are you doing here?" He squinted at her from across the room wondering what was on her forehead. He walked towards her. “I’m supposed to be looking for someone, I don’t remember who. What are you doing here? It’s not everyday I see you up in a hotel.” Laura said aloud as she approached Leon, not caring who heard her conversation. Leon reached up to her face and removed the post it note. "It would appear you need to speak with an Ester. Perhaps you should just go to the front desk. I'll be on my way then." He turned again and headed for the door crumbling the note in his hand. Soul exited from a room behind the back coner and looked out at the two kids. "You people don't realise that Ester has a job, her time is vaulable and all you do is waste it. She has a family to support." He belched out to them crossing his arms in the doorway to the staff lounge. Laura turned to see Soul standing behind the counter,"What are you talking about, where is Carol? I have no idea what is going on anymore." "Soul? You're Soul right, the Godfather of Crime-Fighting?" Leon question, it was clear that Soul had gotten his attention. "Yeah I am kid what's it to ya?" Soul replied "I have so many question I would love to ask you," his eyes lit up as he quickly rushed the main counter, " I mean you are the reason why a lot of people in or profession wanted to be a hero as a kid, you're one of my big influences." "Boy, are you stupid we are in broad day light, this is not the place to discuss this. And you girl, Carol left but you are welcomed to join me and Jugghead here in the back room." Soul turned around and exited the lobby. Leon quickly followed him like a happy little puppy. Laura followed pursuit behind the two.

The Kohr Dragon Sneeze Vmak The Kohr Vmak Dragon Sneeze Felicia entered the limo via the open sunroof. She landed in a heap on the seat and yelped as her sister landed on top of her. She shook her head and banged on the separating window. "Hey, go to that red light thingy and step on it!" An electronic video screen rose from beneath the privacy screen. It turned on and the words: Destination Please. Appeared before the twins. "The ******** light!" Sheila splurted out wrestling infront of her sister. A light above the twins head came on upon request. This was followed shortly afterwards by the screen repeating its self asking for a location. "If you don't take us to the damn light right ******** now I'm gonna come up there and shove your head up your a**! Seriously!" Felicia shouted. "Just drive the damn limo or we'll get you fired! You weirdo!"Sheila started to rock the limo by bouncing around. The diver slammed on the gas and span onto the rode. The beam of red light was showed overhead as she headed in that direction.

This was followed shortly afterwards by the screen repeating its self asking for a location. "If you don't take us to the damn light right ******** now I'm gonna come up there and shove your head up your a**! Seriously!" Felicia shouted. "Just drive the damn limo or we'll get you fired! You weirdo!"Sheila started to rock the limo by bouncing around. The diver slammed on the gas and span onto the rode. The beam of red light was showed overhead as she headed in that direction. As the limo inexplicably arrived at the origin of the red light before any of the other heroes, the twin spilled out onto the concrete. Felicia stood and spotted the squad car and stuck her tongue out at it. "I think we gots the po po here."

Vmak Meanwhile, Jude awoke from his slumber to the smell of food. He was in his room above the bar, that he kind of half owned. Scratching his back he got out of bed and walked towards the smell, not bothering to put on any pants- or anything for that matter. “Hey dog, what’s that in the air that I so happened to sniff in my sleepy time?” he questioned a man at a grill as he rummaged the fringe for a drink. A man stood in front of a grill that look new and unused, until now that is. The man had messy black hair and wore a red headband to keep the sweat from his eyes. A green muscle t-shirt under a very worn in gray vest, with roomy blue pants with a white leather belt wrapping up his attire. There was a red wristband around his right wrist, a silver wristwatch around the other along with a blue star tattoo on the shoulder. He also wore steel toe boots to make him look taller. The man was grilling some hamburgers, and he grinned hearing the sound of Jude’s voice as he enter the kitchen. “Well, well, well, if it isn’t Mr. Sleepy head. I’m so sorry I woke you from your 8 hour power nap.” he spoke in a sarcastic tone while turning around. “Do you want me to rock you back to sleep? You said you were gonna be out for an hour I had to run this place by my self again last night.” he laughed as he flipped over one of the hamburgers. “Well excuse me for getting money to redecorate the bar. I had a, how do you say, date with some bitches.” Jude slammed the fringe in frustration as he rotated his head to the man, “Where the hell is my kool-aid Dave!”

There she saw the large machine emitting the ruby red light through a hole in the warehouse ceiling. She scanned the rest of the area and saw nothing. "What the heck is going on here?"
