After Kimmi spoke up again, Khana looked down at her hand with the gun, and looked surprised to see it there. She looked back up, at him, then back at Kimmi, at the gun, then at him again, as is she was confused, but didn't look very convinced. Her mind was probably still in shock.
"I would never hurt her" he said firmly, and then sighed, obviously he would have to say what he had planned to say in front of her too. He didn't want to though, that was clear.
"Khana... I want you to come with me" he finally said. He kept his gaze locked on Khana's, but he was still watching the other girl out of the corner of his eye.
It was so nice to hear him say her name again, and again, Khana couldn't look away, she didn't want to. And after hearing what he said, she looked hesitant... but... almost as if she was actually considering his words...
She hadn't agreed to Kimmi's "request" either.

Sleep... Sleeep... Sleeeeeep... Kay sunk to her knees in the sand and slowly leaned forward. Her eyes slowly closed... Just as a glimpse of boots appeared. "He will be so glad to see you back home..."

"NO!" Kimmi yelled and moved so that she was completely blocking Khana. "He promised not to hurt me too. I never thought he could." She glared at the boy. "I don't care if I have to kill you myself. She's not going anywhere with you alone. Ever. I was stupid to believe he wouldn't hurt me and I'd be even stupider to think you weren't capable of hurting her." She twirled her Sai's and took an offensive stance. "I will not watch anymore of my family die. Especially not now." She added when she remembered how Kay's blood had stopped the spreading, but not killed the infection. She was worried that she didn't have alot of time, and she was not going to spend it watching her family die.

Khana had forgotten about Kimmi, but was soon reminded. She had been shocked again at what he asked her. Go with him? Where?... it was more like she was in a daze, a dream.
She shook her head as if to clear her mind, and it seemed to work. She gripped her gun more tightly, like she was reminding herself it was there. Khana stepped back and then shook her head more slowly and deliberately.
"I can't" she said quietly, but she wasn't just talking about what he asked her, "I can't trust you. I want to, but I can't." she said it firmly, but there was still a small waver in her voice.
The man sighed, "Think about it, remember, and I'll be back." then he turned around to walk away.
She couldn't watch him go, so she turned around herself and went walking in the opposite direction, thinking, did I just do that?
She probably couldn't have refused him if Kimmi hadn't been there. For the moment, she was too stunned to read much into Kimmi's own words, but doubtless she would later.

Kimmi let Khana go but did not move to go with her. Instead she watched the man's back as he walked away. "I'll still be here when you come back." She warned as she stayed where she was watching him. She wanted to be sure he left, and she would have to keep an extra eye on Khana for his return.

Sarg and Fillup sat by the new campfire, the dark night encroaching on the camp, and Fillup's mind, again. Sarg looked at him, worry crossing his rough and scarred face "Hey Fill, you alright?" he asked. Fillup just looked up at the fire, not saying anything.
We will die. All of us. Just because of this stupid man that wanted the perfect weapon. Sounds like someone I met once. Fillup sighed and continued to stare into the fire.
Shadow purred as the teenagers scrathed and pet him, their hands not as grimy as he previously thought "Good.....pet nice....purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" He had forgotten about Kay momentarily.

Kay groaned, slowly opening her eyes. Everything was fuzzy, she blinked to get the room in focus. She was in some kind of sand colored tent, the wind that blew in under it hot and dry telling her that she was at least still in the desert somewhere. Kay groaned and tried to move only to be meet with resistance. Cranning her neck to look at her body she saw that she had been strapped down by both metal and leather. "So nice of you to join us..." a man in a lab coat said stepping into Kay line of sight. "I'm sorry about the restrants, but they are necessary. We never imagine the compound would give you such strength... It was a very interesting development." the man chatted, as if they were old friends. "How unfortunate though that Dr. Brendon didn't accompany us on this outing. Who would have guess we would have found his one creation that got away." Kay jerked in her restants, making as if to choke the man. "Now, now. None of that... We have so much to learn from you yet." the man stated picking up a scaple. "So much of Dr. Brendon's research was lost you see. So we have some work to do."

Khana went walking around through camp as soon as she had gotten back. She knew that if she sat down, she would start thinking to much. So, as she walked, she made a point of taking notice of everything and analyzing everything, to keep her mind occupied. Eventually, after she had made a full circuit of the camp, she thought of something, where's Kay? Did she go off again?
She walked over to where she had previously seen Bubbles, and Sarg, "Hey, you guys seen Kay?" she asked, still diligently keeping her focus on the now, instead of thinking about what had happened a little while ago.

Kimmi walked back into camp and made sure to note where Khana was before heading over to check on Gracie. She located the kids but Gracie was not among them. "Max, where is Gracie?" She asked of one of the older boys. He looked around him then shook his head. "I haven't seen her for a bit, thought she went to get a drink." The incident from earlier still fresh in her mind Kimmi quickly made her way to the supply truck. She wasn't too surprised when she didn't see Gracie there. "I should have put a chip on her too." She muttered as she looked for the girls foot prints in the sand. Since Gracie was the smallest child there they weren't too hard to locate. She frowned when she noticed they were following another set of prints. Not stopping to tell anyone where she was going she quickly followed the prints into the dessert away from the cliffs.
Kimmi was quickly out of sight of camp and was more worried now. "Gracie!" She had yet to receive a response and the buzzing in the back of her head was getting hard to ignore. She stopped confused when there seemed to be a large disturbance in the sand but nothing more. "Footprints don't disappear dammit." She bent to pick up something that caught her eye and her eyes widened. She sniffed it to make sure before pulling out her tracker. "I leave you alone for 5 minutes. I thought i was the trouble magnet." She muttered.

"I could lie and tell you this isn't going to hurt..." the man smiled, "But I think I'll much rather enjoy this." As the man sliced right below Kay's colar bone, she gritted her teeth not wanting to give him the satisfaction of her scream. "Now is that a way to act?" the man asked dissapointed. "Then I'll guess I'll just have to-" the man frowned as his phone went off. Kay head was spinning from the pain, making it hard to focus on anything. "Leave her alone..." "But I thought-" "Leave her there. She will come to us..." "Yes sir." The man closed his phone and turned back to Kay. "Seems you got lucky... Guess I'll leave the girl too." the man said sighing as he glanced over to Grace, Then smiled evilly down on Kay. "But that doesn't mean I have to make it easy on you." A blinding pain shot through Kay's body, she screamed and blacked out...
Kay slowly came to... All the equipement was gone except the tent. Kay went to get up to feel resistance and a sharp pain... and appearnetly the restrants. Stranning her neck, she caught a glimpse of Gracie in a chair asleep. Kay's head began to spin again from the pain...

Zack, patrolled the paremiter of camp. "These guys never seem to catch a break." he thought to himslef as he scanned the area for zombies. he then sighed. "Kimmi's wound isnt getting any better. might have to extract the virus after all." he thought. he then walked over to the Teens and Shadow. Hey have you Kay, around." he asked Shadow.

Kimmi crested a hill and spotted a tent. "What the hell is that doing way out here?" She muttered to herself as she double checked the tracker. "What now?" She sighed as she jogged over to the tent. She frowned at the way the sand was disturbed. This had been camp for someone, some heavy vehicles and from the look of the tracks. "Hello! Anyone here? I'm looking for my friends." She called out just in case. She didn't hear anything moving except for the tent flapping a bit in the light breeze. She groaned. "And yet again I feel like the next victim in a b horror movie." She said softly as she moved toward the tents entrance.
Kimmi's eyes widened when she took in Kay strapped to a bed and Gracie sitting in a chair not far from her fast asleep. She moved to Kay quickly and undid the restraints. "Kay? Kay? Can you hear me?" She started opening and closing drawers on the bed, quickly finding what she was looking for she pulled out the gauze and cursed herself for not grabbing her pack. "Kay wake up!" She whispered frantically when she hear an engine outside. "Crap." She quickly wrapped the gauze around Kay and used the bed as cover so as not to be seen from the entrance.

Sarg looked up at Khana, while Fillup continued to stare into the fire, still not speaking "Nah, ahven't seen her since them new kids showed up..." Sarg said gruffly, watching the rabble continue to gawk and pet Shadow, who was now lying on his back and purring deeply. The other cats were no doubt coming out soon, they were growing attatched to the band of humans.
"But if you see her, give her a pat on the back, done a good job with those dead-heads out there" Sarg added, smiling as he grabbed a stick to poke the fire and shift a log in it.

Kay groaned as she felt something cover her skin. Her voice cracked, he throat parched... She didn't remember where she was until she tried to move and felt the blinding stab of pain. It all came flooding back to her, just as a technician in a lab coat walked in. "Sorry... We forgot to give this to you." he stated laying a CD case onto of Kay's stomach. "No peeking until I leave now." he joked, waging a finger at Kay as he turned and left the tent. Moments later she heard a vechile pull off. Kay tried to move her wrist, brushing against something she cried out in pain. Kay tried to get through the inclosing blackness and not pass out again, her breath coming in ragged gasps.
