The woman in the middle continued to sing as fast as she could which showed in the way the particles around her formed. With her hurried pace, the energy, too, followed her voice just as a forest nymph would attract the fireflies near the rivers in the ancient countrysides. The image itself and the thought was quite beautiful at first, unless one would analyze it in such a way as how the ancient ones would read omens and signs. In ancient belief, a large gathering of fireflies at one spot would mean that a fire was about to take place at some place near it.
Her soothing, yet powerful and threatening, voice echoed throughout the area even more than before as the particles continued to form the ornate spear-like object until they were completed at the end. Now with the parts in place, it was clear that what she had formed from her singing was a giant spear which hovered a fair distance above the squad of Knights.

Once the spear was completed, the woman sang even more at an even higher note that previously and faster than ever before. It response to the speed of her singing, the spear began to shake rapidly as well before dividing themselves into a several spears which then divided to even more spears, then more spears after that until countless spears hovered in the sky. It was here when the woman once again changed her tone of voice as somewhat an indication of the coming final verses of her song-like spell.

With a powerful high tone, the spears glowed with a mighty ethereal light and rocketed up to the sky. Immediately following after, the sound of thunder roared out like an unchained lion. Bolts of lightning randomly struck the ground, incinerating anything unfortunate enough to be struck by such a strong surge of electricity. Following the intense lightning storm, the sky changed from dark to golden as if the sun was already rising even though it was still a certain time night. The woman then sung with the highest voice she could muster, like an opera singer performing the last part of her aria before the climatic end

With the initial spell complete, the woman in the middle finished her song, her voice emanating with such fervor and passion that the ground around her seemed to shake to it. With that, she lifted her hand into the air. "Let my spell rain down," the woman muttered to herself then sent her hand down to initiate the attack.
"Purgatory Rain."
A countless number of spears rained down from the heavens, striking all those who were 'tainted', which included a number of Hollow, Shinigami, and Human souls as well. Surprisingly, those who were 'pure' were unaffected by the barrage of spears since, as soon as they hit those 'pure' ones, would simply revert back into golden energy particles from before they were formed into spears.

((Nope, everyone RPing is safe. xd
You know that not everyone who is a shinigami and human is duty-bound to protect in the same manner as not all Hollow desire to indiscriminately kill, ne? That's the same concept here. The spears have no effect on you. However, from that attack, you can assume that some shinigami and human souls were terminated while some Hollow were unaffected because they were harboring intentions that are not as noble or intentions that were quite admirable despite their appearances.

((Okay, good enough. Time to nuke~))
Jan had been keeping watch over the city while experimenting on the weapon he had taken as his prize in the first battle against the white knights. Having counted on the Shinigami to drive off the Hollows while he kept researching,it was a little surprising for him to see his enemies fight off the invading forces from Hueco Mundo.
Of course, considering himself Karakura's guardian, or even a guardian deity, Jan knew he would have to make an appearance sooner or later. Even with the Hollows driven away by the knights, Jan definitely did not like the idea of them summoning anything into the city... Especially after the incidents caused by the Obelisks from before.
Announcing himself from a rooftop with the release of his Shikai and inner Hollow states, Jan figured he could reprise his original role as a mobile artillery battery. While he could pull together power comparable to a Shinigami Captain's Bankai state with his two releases, Jan simply needed access to certain techniques he could only use in this state.
Seeing a woman in the center of the knight's simple formation summoning yet another annoyance, Jan took aim with his naginata and wakizashi. Amplifying his voice so that the knights would hear him from his considerable distance away, Jan spoke as the spears rained down around him. "It's not like I don't appreciate you getting rid of those Hollows, but you've forgotten that your summonings are nothing but trouble for us humans. Whatever it is you're doing, I don't like it. And as this city's guardian, and with the knowledge that you won't listen to what I say, I won't hesitate to eliminate you!"
Finishing his power charge while he spoke, Jan focused his energy into the blades of his weapons. Combining raw heat and a controlled electromagnetic field, Jan forced his energy and the air particles around his blades yo compress until they set off a minor nuclear fusion reaction. Of course, minor or not, the energy released was great enough to brighten the sky around Jan with a flash of reiatsu-driven sunlight.
"Now... Repent and prepare to die! Karakura's Solar Bomb!" Jan announced his attack and thrust his naginata at the woman in the center of the formation, releasing a small projectile from its tip. The ball of light held considerable heat, and as it sped towards its target, it began to grow with energy from the ongoing fusion reaction powered by Jan's energy. When it impacted with something, the energy feed would stop, momentarily expanding the miniature star before collapsing it and then exploding with another boost of Jan's reiatsu.

Ronnel had just finished off another Hollow when the girl's song ended. He turned around in time to see the spears begin shooting up into the air. He grimaced and turned to run when he heard a small whimper of fear behind him. The Shinigami spun around and saw a young human girl cowering near a doorway. Her frightened eyes were locked on the sky.
*Kuso. She's spiritually aware, and scared of those...* The Fifth Seat gave up on running back to the gate to the Seireitei and sprinted for the girl. He covered her with his larger frame as his hand slapped his own back, muttering one of the few Bakudo he knew.
"I hope you appreciate that I'm going against my norm for you kiddo. Bakudo Eight: Seki! (Repulse)" The Eleventh Squad member stiffened up as the Bakudo paralyzed his back. The first spear that slammed into him flew backwards before dispersing into golden particles, the second flew a shorter distance. By the time the fourth spear had slammed into him, the protective Bakudo had faded, causing the spears to fade away when they hit him, coating him in the gold shimmer.
When the Purgatory Rain ended, the battered Shinigami pulled away from the young girl, who still looked frightened. He reached out and patted her head softly.
"Get home kiddo, it's probably safer." The girl nodded and scampered down the street for a few houses, then rushed inside of one. Ronnel pulled himself up against the wall and rubbed his aching back as he looked up at the night sky. *Well, most of the Hollow in this area were wiped -* His thoughts were cut short when another man appeared and challenged the Genesis Knights. The Fifth Seat could feel power rolling off of the man, similar to what his Captain could wield. When the self-proclaimed guardian of the city began charging his attack, the Shinigami rested one palm on his forehead.
"Hope I don't get sunburn from this... again, Bakudo Eight: Seki! (Repulse)" His body tensed up as he tried what he could to protect himself from the attack aimed only a short distance from him.
((Wow. This makes me wonder if a Fifth Seat like me should even be out here lol. Oh, and: cool ))

While Jan-sama's projectile was in mid-flight in its direct course with the squad of knights, the area in front of it hazed over for a split second. As the small nuclear fusion bomb passed by the space where everything hazed over, it stopped in its tracks as if trapped by some unseen force, unbeknown to everyone that it had been trapped in an isolated dimension via a dimensional net already. It was here that Xeion, holding an already released Elena, appeared in front of the squad of Knights while facing Jan-sama.
In exchange for his custom-made captain's cloak, he was now wearing a goth/ techno-punk crossover of clothes and accessories which mainly consisted of his blue long-sleeves covered over by a jacket somehow similar, albeit shorter, to the ones worn by those people from that popular crossover game that involved heartless and nobodies. Complimenting his jacket were likewise dark pants that seemed to follow the popular trend of visual kei-styled apparel straight from Tokyo and black boots. An empty scabbard, obviously Elena's, was slung over his right shoulder while another scabbard, albeit with a sword in it, hung at the left side of his waist -- Azumi's. Even though it was obvious that he had a change in style, he still wore his signature blue shades.
While still focused on Jan-sama, Xeion spoke. "Go back to CATHEDRAL and tend to your wounded. Genesis had already lost more than its fare share in this horrible war."
The woman in the middle nodded silently followed by the mass switching of posture of Knights around her from their defensive stances to their neutral ones. As if in gratitude, they raised their Redeemers into the air -- their version of a salute. At once, the maiden with golden hair took off her helmet, revealing her to be a beautiful girl of no more than sixteen or seventeen years old. Her eyes were covered by a black blindfold with archaic letters written on it.
"If only I could see, I'll thank you for your help. However, I still don't have enough power to get us out of here, so I'm afraid that it would be best if you let us die by his hands than to involve yourself any further," the girl said in a very honest and cheerful tone of voice. "We accept our fate. We chose this path and we are prepared to die for it, just as our comrades have. We are no different."
Xeion raised his hand at the stopped projectile. At once, a Dark Mirror appeared in front of it and swallowed the projectile although it had already been neutralized as soon as it got trapped in the dimensional net as it, having been disconnected from Jan-sama, its source of power, who was in an alternate dimension compared to it, had no means to detonate or sustain itself longer than what its ample reserves of energy dictated. While Xeion knew it would get drained, hence grow smaller, eventually, he wanted to make sure.
"I know that. However, for my sake, I will not let anyone lose their lives. If I allowed myself to do that, how can I call myself a Hero of Justice?" jested Xeion who smiled a bit at his statement and raised Elena toward Jan-sama.
"Even if the gods themselves stand before me, I shall not let any more blood be spilled as long as I can help it. It's my promise to Shino and to myself. You should know that. Revenants don't break promises, do they?"

Jan smirked as he watched the exchange between Xeion and the assumed-to-be-leader of the white knights. "You talk a big game, but are you really willing to follow through? You've got your hands on Feiy's old weapon, and you're here siding with these so-called knights. They've been nothing but trouble for the human world. Their summoning of those obelisks, their removing of human souls from the stream, their messing around in Hueco Mundo... Nothing but s**t in my way."
Looking down on the knights and Xeion, both literally and figuratively, Jan began charging more energy into his swords. "I've given them a chance to retreat before, and they didn't take it. You're saving them now, so I'll give them that chance again. But if they're not gone within the next instant... I'll resume my attack. And don't think I'll let you get in my way... I'll end anyone who gets in the way of my protection over this land."
