It looks like we are getting closer to American Gods on HBO being a reality. Speaking of, I mentioned the making of American Gods into a series over on Warseer and this guy starts bashing it because it is a as he put it,"I've checked what it was about... such a ridiculous pitch... Why would the norse gods even give a damn about what happens in 'Murca? And what about the name, then? So self-centered." He made one mistake though. He has incurred the wrath of Wintermute who is a fan of American Gods.

I finally finished watching the preview episode of Macross Delta. I enjoyed the mecha combat, but had to turn the sound off for a large portion of the show because of the inane song and dance production in the middle of the show. Who ever was in charge of making this series needs to be dragged into the street and be stoned to death. The show is starting off really badly. If this is what the rest of the series is going to be like it will be even worse than Macross 7, which until now had been the worst Macross release by far. This may finally be the last nail in the Macross saga's coffin.

I just finished the first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn RE:0096. I'm really looking forward to a new Universal Century series. I love the OVA now I want to see what they add for the TV series.

I'm considering watching an animated series or anime, perhaps Transformers Animated. I'm far from up-to-date, have any of you any good suggestions?

Well I've watched episode 1 of Macross Delta and it only has a few minutes worth of new footage that was not in the preview episode. The mecha combat is pretty cool, but the music idol concert on the battlefield is absolutely ridiculous. I mean girls with rocket thrusters in their skirts flying around singing while missiles and bullets are flying. What the hell? If having an idiot flying around playing a guitar in combat wasn't bad enough.

I'm on an anime binge. I'm about to watch my third anime series in less than 24 hours.

Sean King What genres are you into? Well, it varies, but my favourite Anime series thus far has been GitS: Stand Alone Complex, Black Lagoon, Lyrical Nanoha, Hellsing Animated Series(the short one) and Final Fantasy Unlimited (even though the ending sucked). As for Animated series, there is really only Friendship is Magic that seems worth mentioning, even though I really like the aesthetics of G1 Transformers (part of the reason why I liked Lyrical Nanoha was the weapons), and I haven't really bothered with much else(somehow i'm not fond of male protagonists unless there are some really good femmes as well).

You might try Ghost in the Shell: Arise- Alternative Architecture. Of course there is always Cowboy Bebop. I really liked Genshiken it has a great take on Otaku. Daiguard( "Office workers saving the world") is fun too. If you are looking for a tough female protagonist try Armitage the III. There are also Excel Saga, Cromartie High School, Martian Successor Nadesico, Eureka Seven, Super Dimensional Fortress Macross, and The Irresponsible Captain Tylor.

I just finished a great anime. It felt like they ripped my heart out through my spine it was so tragic and sad. It was SaiKano. A strange yet beautiful series. I nkow I can be really emotional, but I spent much of the series in tears
