Maybe I'll just wade in for now, and see if I can...get comfy. he laughed, rather nervously as he folded up the legs of his slacks so they didn't get wet. He paused and looked to Esca, blushing faintly. Do you have something you can swim in on already? he asked, realizing they'd forgotten to go home to change and to get towels and such.

"Everyone has their own way of facing their fears," she said with a smile. She blinked at his question, and had to think a moment, before snapping. "Ah, I remember now! Yes, I'm wearing my swim suit under this. I was going to come swimming, so I changed into my swim suit ahead of time." She reached up, begining to take off her hat-type thing and placing it over her shoes, before starting on the bow at her back to take off her apron.
"It's a silly thought, isn't it?" She chuckled. "That I ended up in the gardens, then in the mall. I totally forgot about swimming."

Oh! Atari laughed, pulling himself to stand. Well that makes things lots easier, that's for sure! he purred, tucking the chains that dangled from his pants into his pockets so they didn't get wet and rust or something of the sort. Wade in with me a little? he nearly begged, giving Esca the most pitiful look ever.

Escarelia nodded, and smiled. "Of course I will! Just a second, let me get my dress off..." She folded her apron and put it down next to her boots, before pulling her dress off over her head, revealing her swimsuit, which was just a simple black one piece, before folding her dress and putting it on top of apron. "There we go! You ready?" She smiled.

Atari blushed terribly and looked away as Esca stripped to her bathing suit, and shyly looked back to her to nod, offering nerverous smile. Ready! he offered, pulling himself to his feet, his tail wrapping aroudn his leg and his ears lowered to his head.

Escarelia smiled, and nodded once. She took a step towads the water, and paused, turning towards him and extending a hand. "Do you want to hold my hand?" She asked. "It helps, sometimes. At least, it did for me."

Atari blushed deeply still and nodded some, biting his lip. I think that'd help, a little. he admitted, his voice a little raspy squeak. Please...Promise not to pull me in? he asked, wincing.

"I promise," Escarelia said, nodding. "Cross my heart," she said as she drew a line across her heart with her other hand, with another nod, and then held up a pinkie. "Pinkie swear."

Pinkie swear? Atari purred, smiling as he looked to Esca's hand, holding his out in a mimicing manner. What's that? He'd heard the other phrase, as his father often times said it to him, but pinkie swears were new.

Escarelia smiled and curled her pink around his. "I don't know about us 'grown up and mature' people, but for little kids, this is like the most unbreakable promise ever. At least, that's how I grew up." She nodded once.
"Kinda violent though. If a pinkie promise is broken, you get to break the other kids pinkie. But don't worry, I won't break this one!" She smiled again.

Atari's eyes widened slightly as he thought about children using such promises and violent methods of reprimanding one another, but if that's how mortals did it he couldn't really say anything. He smiled brightly after a moment and looked to Esca, nodding to her. I believe you! he purred, moving to hug her gently before creeping close to the edge of the water, crouching down to poke a finger to break the cool, gently rippling surface.

Escarelia smiled and followed him, looking into the water and following the waters ripple. She tilted her head and then stuck her entire hand in the water, before pulling it out. "Ooh, a little chilly, but not too bad."

It's probably not the right time of the year here for swimming, huh? he asked, unsure of how other realms seasons worked, as where he lived, the weather was dependant on the mood of a certain person.

"Oh, I don't know about that. Depends on how much you love it, I suppose." She smiled and stepped into the water, up to her ankles, but didn't go any further. "I've gone swimming in a pond where there was still ice on it before. It was very cold..."

I don't think I'd swim in ice water...Atari purred as he crept closer to the water, so that when his feet sunk in the sand the water rushed over them. But I'll splash in this one, for now! he chimed, somewhat enjoying the cool water over his feet.
