She just looked up, nodding dumbly, as if she'd just seen him, and stood to follow. She was shaking all over as she followed JAk and Laci to the door, the same terror echoing back and forth through her mind.

A few hours later, the four returned, Suru looking much better after having his ribs wrapped and treated, and having a transfusion. Ophelia still looked wide eyed and pale, and Suru looking eep in thought, quiet, and dark-eyed.

Suru nodded, limping along beside Jak, soundlessly. As he did, he caught his sister's eyes with a dark look. She stared at him for a moment, then her eyes rimmed over with tears. She turned and shot out, upstairs to her room, slamming the door and locking it behind her.

Lacuna sighed and sat on the floor her head buried in her hands. She felt so much like crying. She had almost lost someone very dear to her, and that hurt her deeply. She nodded.
"Yes, I agree Suru darling you need your sleep..", she said looking away from her palms.
