Kirus stood too, following Haku and standing the opposite side of the bar to him, smoothing hair and clothes as he did so.
"To be honest, any bed that doesnt move up and down in an insufferable manner would be perfect." he smiled genuinely. He had been too long at sea, and was still damp from the rain, all he wanted was a warm, stable bed.

Haku laughed softly. "I can arrange that. What about a room that looks out over our garden. Its on the first floor. Room number 18." Haku smiled as he waited to hear if the stranger wanted the room yes or no.

"mmm that sounds devine" he almost purred, his smirk a little on the playful side, but it faded as fast as it appeared, and was replaced with the gentlemanly smile of the thankful. "To look out of a window and not see endless water...heaven" he went on. Then paused, serious for a moment "I'm afraid I've no local currency as of yet, but I have gold; or perhaps I could pay you in kind somehow..." he offered, thinking that he could offer Haku a new kitchen boy if he needed- on his way back from collecting his 'goods'.

Haku nodded and wrote down a small sign for him to know that the stranger had that room. He looked up and smiled. "Gold will be fine. Or something else..But we will talk about that later." He stepped away from the counter, as graceful as he did everything. "Follow me please, i will show you the room." He moved his hands into the sleaves of the kimono and walked up the stairs slowly.

Kirus nodded in thanks, and followed Haku through the bar and up the stairs, casting eyes around at the local decor. It wasnt as extravagant as he was used to; but it was something exotic and homely. At that moment he just wanted to sleep, his day seeming to have stretched forever, and his limbs aching with dampness and strain.

Haku slid open a paper/wooden door. "This is roomnumber 18. Please make yourself comfortable. I will be downstairs if you need me." Haku smiled politely and bowed before slowly walking down the stairs again.

Kirus nodded back in thanks, entering the room, stepping through the strange paper door and wondering for a moment or two where the bed was. He shook his head, he should have realised. He walked over to the window and cast out a gaze. At least the rain had stopped.
A moment or two more and he was stripping his shirt over his head. He scratched his chest, tan lines taken over sea visible between his pecs and yawned, sitting on the low rolled out mattress and pulling off his boots, before lying down. He was comfortable enough, more than he would have thought so, and after a few moments shifting; was in a deep sleep.

Haku was downstairs. He walked around for a small hour and smiled at the people who left. As the Inn became empty Haku made his way to the room in the far back of the Inn. He took off his clothes and changed into nothing but a black hakama. He layed down to rest, only to wake up a good 4 hours later.
Yawning lightly Haku pulled his long black hair back in a pony tail, a few strands framed his face. Now with his bare chest and hair back, he finally did look like a guy, but he could care less. He picked up two of his katana's and went to the small dojo at the back of the Inn. There he trained untill the sun started to rise again.

Kirus awoke with the sun, finding himself lost for a moment as orange-red flooded the room he did not recognise. He came to himself quickly enough, hand raising to shield his blinking eyes from the light. He sat up and scratched his hair, then smoothed his shirt- he was badly in need of a wash, and to return to his ship for more clothes soon enough.
He rose, pushing himself gracefully from the floor, knees bending, back arching. He neglected putting his boots on, and slid back the thin door to his room. There must be a wash room somewhere, he decided.
Looking around, it seemed that the floor he was on was fully roomed, all the doors being identical to the one he had just used. Perhaps he would start downstairs.
He walked softly down the staircase, flesh of his feet padding softly as he moved.

Haku was still training. though he did stop for a moment as he hear someone moving around his Inn. His hearing was as sharp as that of animals. He locked away the two katana's that he had been using and walked back into the Inn. Not bothering to change clothes first. He smiled as he saw that the englishman was wandering around. "Good morning."

((we've been asked to keep our posts to a paragraph minimum. Trying to build up to more literate standards- apart from in guilty pleasures, which is more light hearted 3nodding ))

Kirus smiled and nodded at Haku, who looked like he had been up for a good while. He wasn't sure whether early rising was typical to the country, to Haku, or whether the other just couldnt sleep. He wasnt going to ask, they were not so well acquainted as that as yet.

Kirus did note, despite the dis-familiarity, Haku's slender frame, his build strong- stronger than his, or than any he had seen in a good while. He supposed life was a little more fast-paced, or hard-working in this part of the world, especially compared to his own aristocratic background. He raised a singular eyebrow in appreciation, but said nothing- such things were simply not done.
"Good morning my humble host" he smiled.

"I feel every grain of salt in the ocean has embedded itself into my skin. Have you a washroom?" he asked

((ehh okeej sowwy))

"Ofcourse we do. Just follow me." Haku said with a short nod as he went before his guest. Following the long hallway led to the washroom. He only had one, a large one ment for the men. He rarely had females sleeping here so he didn't bother making a washingroom for them.
"Here we have the soap and towles. The bath and the bucket showers." He pointed at all of them but stayed standing at the edge of the washroom.
"I will get you a part of slippers and a piece of soap that you can use." Haku said with a smile as he walked back to the hallway and grabbed a piece of soap and slippers from one of closets. "Here you go. I hope this will be enough. If you will excuse me in need to get myself washed up aswell." He said as he bowed and walked back to his room.
He returned a few minutes later in a robe and his hair down. He stepped into his slippers and walked over to the bath. Sitting down he took off part of his robe to wash himself.

((hehe no worries, I was guilty of the same razz *slaps own wrist* will not become lazy with roleplay!!!))

Kirus smiled in thanks to his host. Everything here seemed to be so organised, and he was more than looking forward to being clean. The wind of the sea had left him whipped and raw, and his hair held the must of rain and already of the spice and fish scent that hung so pungent in the air of the town.
He took the towel, soap and slippers from Haku, wondering for a moment what the slippers were for.
The sailors of his ship had all been of lower class than he, and held little want for bathing- being of such aristocracy himself, he was used to frequent hot water and privacy. This whole scene was strange to him.
He had followed Haku into a long room. There were baths, which he recognised, and bucket and pulley systems that he didnt. He assumed they worked like waterfalls, washing over you.

He dropped the slippers to the floor and slipped them on before stepping into the tiled room. He couldnt help but let his eyes wander a little over Hauku's form as he tipped water over himself, sluicing over his skin, the expanse a shade Kirus was not used to, but admired greatly.

He shook his head a little to himself before putting towel and slippers to one side as he stripped with no shame. He used the soap to lather himself thoroughly, before pulling the string at the side, the water hit him in a wash of cold. He jumped a little but made no sound, shaking his head out as he was soaked from head to toe.

Haku had been watching him and laughed lightly as he watched the other jump at the cold water. "Sorry. I should have warned you." He said softly as he soaped himself off further.
At last he put soap in his long black hair and started to wash it carefully. The way he did it was the same all women did, carefull and with love. When his hair was also clean he stepped under the other shower and pulled the string. He always enjoyed the sudden rush of cold water. Wrapping a towle around his hair he put his robe back on and walked to the next room. It was a much warmer room. He looked at the stranger and motioned his to come here aswell. "Here we dry. It takes a little longer than a towle but its far more relaxing." There where several baches to sit on along with tables with glasses filled with ice cold water on them. "Take one if you want."

Takashi was sipping his saki slowly. He hadn't enough to buy another cup and he wanted it to last. When Takashi finished he paid and left. He wondered through the streets searching for a quick way to make money. As he walked he figured he could go to the gambling house but realized he hadn't enough to make a decent bet. Takashi wondered into an inn and sat down. His logic told him that inns always needed more workers. He removed his rice patty hat with a massive scarred hand and waited for the owner of the shop to come.
