Niksia pulled a couple of bills from her purse and closed it, before offering the money to Rivener. She wasn't too sure about making skin contact just yet, though if she was honest she was less inclined to touch other humans than Raevans. Her purse was dropped into the bag again and the now freed hand carefully took the filled glass and gripped it tightly, gloves could be a pain and her fingers had their traitorous moments.
'Thank you. With this heat I might have to come back later though.'
She sipped the lemonade gratefully, not realizing until then how warm the day really was getting.

Revanica Revanica watched lazily and wet her lips a few times, while unconciously adjusting herself, invisible, astral-form tail included. It seemed that the fish-elf didn't want to join her as she watched him bat at the balloon. She half wanted to get one on impulse. What these strange events did to her! But all just the same. Lifting herself again in an almost snakelike manner, Revanica ambled over towards the booth with the balloons and everything. She took a moment to look over everything, smirking towards herself in the crazy thought.: 'Would you happen to have these shirts in gargantuan?' It would have been a funny reaction to watch the person running the booth. She settled on the size medium. Small would be nice but, well with the form that she chose, it rendered imposible to wear. She was a succubus and she had to look, well, she had to present her best physical wares. Revanica pushed back her hair a bit, mentally tinting it the tiniest bit more orangy and letting the magic do its thing slowly so as not to attract so much attention unless her head was under scrutiny. "Hello," she greeted the workers in a throaty voice. She already whipped out her wallet. Isi glanced up from where he was reaching underneath the table for another shirt to put on display, since Eiry had taken the one that was for his own advertising. "Hullo, Miss!" he replied, straightening his spine and giving her his best smile. "Can we-""Uncle! Uncle Isi!" came a cry form the side of the booth, "How do you tie square knots?!""Eirdirsceol, be quiet! I'll help you in a moment, I'm busy with a customer!" Isi called back to the impatient frei. Eiry muttered something about gravity that he had read once before in his Edgar Allen Poe book, and continued working with the balloons. He was finally attempting to tie them in a different fashion for easy access. "Can I-""Uncle Isi? Do we have a net?"Isi sighed visibly, gave the customer an apologetic look and replied hastily as he leaned back in his chair to give Eiry his evil eye, "No, we do not have a net! Hold on, will you?!" Then he turned back to the customer and gave another large smile, "-help you?"

Rivener took the bills, smiling in a tolerant manner at the woman. She wasn't by any standards chatty, but any word from a woman was one too many in Riv's book. For some reason though, this one wasn't excessively annoying.
"Come back as much as you need," he said in an overly honeyed voice.
The Frei looked down at his hand and the money he'd been handed. Two folded bills? Frowning, Riv made sure he saw right. Yes, there were indeed two. Rivener reached out to the lady, proffering one of the two bills. "Hey lady, you gave me one too many," he said curtly.

Revanica smiled indulgently, "Why not help him untangle the mess? In the process you could get me a fantastic balloon." She ended with a giggle.
Revanica's golden eyes darted back and forth between the two. Uncle was something reserved for family according to humans. Yet these two were not related at all. She wondered about the phenomenon while keepting the smile plastered on her face.
"And then you can tell me about the Lab that..." She groped for a word for the second time for the day, "exss-ploded." She supplied with a slight snake-like lisp.

Niksia smirked faintly at Rivener's reply, was that part of the script for today? He was a little charmer, and not in that way that made her skin creep. She took another sip of lemonade, enjoying the taste while condensation started forming on the glass.
Extra bills? Oh ho ho, the other stallholders hadn't noticed last time. Drat.
'Did I really? I might have done that when I was at the other stall too, oh gee. Can't take me anywhere these days.' It was called charming sarcasm, if she'd pulled it off right and he knew what she meant. A bit of money here or there wasn't a big deal, it was fund raising!
'If it makes you feel bad keep the other one, call it a tip. Don't people serving drinks and whatnot usually get tips?' It was worth a shot.

"Because I can't get up and help him. I can't leave the seat and he knows that I told him to wait," Isi said, smiling awkwardly at the lady. Then turning to Eiry again, Isi called, "Could you get this nice lady a balloon, Eiry?" Then, chuckling lightly, confused by the amount of people who didn't know what the festival was for (He was sure Sevilin had plastered the town with enough flyers for everyone to know what was going on, but apparently not). "One of the Lab's raevans, the first one in fact, blew up the lab while he was growing into his next stage. So now we're raising money to rebuild Lab 305. The Lab creates beings, like Eiry here, and guardians are chosen to watch over them."
Eiry had luckily just untied one of the balloons in his attempt of reordering the floating plastic spheres. Without even a grimace or sigh, Eiry happily floated around the booth and handed the balloon out to Revanica. "Here you go, miss! Anything else?"

Josh was slightly taken aback by the twitch at the corners of the raevan’s lips giving the smile an overly warm expression. It was almost to the point of be overdone… even for a fake smile. Josh just nodded at Rivener’s statements and began to repeat his order a bit slower than before, “Oh, I’m sorry! One pink lemonade please.” He watch as the raevan negotiated with the red head who had come over to the stall. Rivener wasn’t the most sunshiny raevan Josh had met… that was for sure. Alas, the creature did do a decent job of acting a good mood out. Josh followed the other’s extended thumb towards his silver haired booth companion. Hopefully, this was the perfect chance to impose a few questions and proceed with a conversation. “So do you know Lazarus well?”

Rivener did catch the drift. He didn't know people felt generous today... For some reason he hadn't expected it. This WAS a fundraiser, wasn't it? Shrugging, Riv placed both bills in his till. "Thanks," he said, "but I don't need to buy anything. I'll put this dollar with the rest."
Rivener watched the woman for a moment, raising an eyebrow. She hardly took that scarf off even to drink. "Aren't you warm? You should take that off," he said, pointing at the big red garment.
Turning back to the younger boy, who had clarified his order, Riv smiled tolerantly again and "bent" over to retrieve a glass, some ice, and lemonade. He placed it on the counter and declare: "One dollar."
At the question about Laz, Riv glanced over and blushed a bit, before getting control of himself and regaining his normal color. "Yeah, I know him. He's Dr Kyou's, made of Fire and Incubus." He shrugged, figuring this is what the kid wanted to know.

"Ah, so that is what happened. I understood that something horrible happened, but not the clue as to what it was. I also remember attending another.. 'shin-dig'... Birthday," She was glad she rsearched it after the fact.
"Oh yes, Eirdirsceol, a Medium sized shirt. You are a great advertiser. Well I think you look rather nice in it," she added in her automatic response. Once a scuccubs always a succubus.
She looked down across the table as if searching for something. I don't suppose I could leave a donation? She thought. "Hmm, can I leave extra as a donation here? Let me get my check book."
Not parting with my horde, no. Just the drawer perahps, she thought idly and wondered how much was in there. Twenty thousand? Oh definetly less. She'd donate five grand since lately Revanica had a taking to building. She was prospecting for her own shop to run. It was costly to build come to learning about it. ... Maybe ten grand. ... Chump change for her. Yes.
She clicked out a smallish pen from her pink toned leather wallet from a hidden compartment and flipped it open with a flashy smile.

Niksia wasn't quite ready to believe that the black and red Raevan didn't have anything he needed to buy, but she was willing to let it slide. The lemonade was turning out nice, if increasingly watery, and she'd managed to make him take the money. This could be a fun game, how many people could be slipped extra money by 'accident'?
Ah, the scarf. She forgot about it, again. She did take it off, sometimes, but old habits died hard. Oh well.
'Hehe, I am a bit warm now. Didn't realize it was going to be so nice out when I went walking. I just wear it for... Not protection, but close enough, I need to keep my secret identity secret.'
She snorted. It was stupid to say, but the automatic defenses were hard to repress. Pulling the scarf down so it hung loosely around her throat, grinning instead of smiling now that her face was properly exposed.
'Sorry. What I really meant to say was that the scarf is my secret, the kind you hide where everyone can see it. I might risk taking it off properly if it gets any hotter around here.'

Josh dug into his pockets for the money he had borrowed from Revanica and glanced up with plenty of time to see the color change on Rivener’s features at the mere mention of the incubus. Josh piped up as he set a dollar and some change on the counter unceremoniously, “Oh, do you have some sort of special relation with him?” Josh could barely hide the smile forming on his lips as he made a slight jest at the other. “What do you mean made of fire and incubus?” Josh instantly had his curiosity jarred and it demanded contentment. He knew about the Lab, but not about the experiments that happened within it.

"Oh, the Birthday Party! I was there too, but I don't think I ran into you. I was sitting down most of the time. I'll get the shirt, Eiry," Isi said, reaching underneath the table. Sliding his hand into the open box, he pulled out a shirt, found it was a large, put it back in, and drew out a medium. "That'll be sixteen d-"
Then he spied the checkbook. Checkbook? For sixteen dollars? No ... No, she wasn't doing that, she was ...
Isi gawked.
"Thank you, miss! I'm helping Home Base!" Eiry piped in his giddy childlike excitement. He puffed his chest out happily and then floated in a happy circle. He saw the checkbook flip open too and his brows furrowed in confusion.
"Lady Miss? That's not money," he stated flatly in confused wonder, floating closer so he could 'bend' over and nearly obscure her writing view with his head.

RoChan tucked a stray tendril of blue hair behind her elf like ear, a pout forming on her pink lips as she stared over the top of her sunglasses at colored booths and gathering people. She was hesitant to enter the park as it had been not easy to get her to come to the event. ===== Dark, fathomless eyes stared back at RoChan with just a tint of emotion that soon ebbed away with a blink. Raven held in her hands a bright flyer announcing some sort of festival that was happening in one of Barton’s parks. RoChan didn’t even read it all the way, however the word “charity” boldly popped from the page. That word alone was what had started this staring contest.
“It was placed in our mailbox.” The deep, soft voice patiently spoke, as if she was gently reprimanding a small child.
RoChan gave a soft snort, crossing her arms before her stubbornly. “We don’t make enough money to give away in the first place, Raven.” It was true a magical shop that selected its customers wasn’t the type to be able to be generous to anyone.
“It’s free admission.” Raven mentioned as if she was commenting about the weather. However, the sentence contained the one magical word that would sway even the tightest of wallets.
“Free?” RoChan’s ears perked. “Well I guess it couldn’t hurt to take a look.” RoChan snatched the flyer from the dark haired girl scanning the colored sheet for directions. ===== So here she was, attending a “free” admission festival on this perfect summer day. Of course she had buried the idea that it was to raise money for something or another. Ah, but maybe she could get away with some trinket from here she thought as she strolled to the first booth she saw. For free of course.

"No indeed, but it represents money. What I can do with this bit of paper is put down any denomination of money and donate it for your noble cause for Home Base as you so charmingly put it, my little ghost-creature," She explained rather kindly. Which in retrospect should have surprised her.
She scribbled out the number. One, zero, zero, zero, zero a period and then two more zeroes. Ten thousand dollars. "I love biology, and not to be, callous, but I find you creatures a curious itch I can not scratch."
She reached into the main part of her wallet and spilled out the rest of the money for her actual purchase. With a smile she signed her chicken scratch name: Revanica Josephine Reeves. It was still difficult with her hands. Dragon paws are not used to gripping how she needed to, but she managed quite nicely if even oddly and handed it all to Isi.
"I bid you a good day and I hope Home Base will be repaired in quickest possible time." Was her last statement and wink before gathering herself back up to wait for Josh back at the bench.
((Night! ))

Rivener glanced back over at the woman and lifted an eyebrow. He was an expert at acting, and could easily see through most acts. This woman was hiding something, and she'd been almost serious about that secret identity thing. His curiosity piqued, Riv thought that he should like to find otu more about it.
That's when the other boy made a jab. Rivener's eyes snapped back to Josh, and they narrowed. "NO. We do not have a special relationship. He is my elder, that's it." A slight frown had formed on his face, and Riv decided to keep an eye on this kid. As soon as he wasn'y paying attention, even for a second, Rivener would SO poison his drink.
"And what I meant is just that. He's made from Fire and an Incubus, like I'm made of Night Sky and Scorpion. All Raevans are made with different things." His voice was mellow again, and the only hint that he might have been displeased was the slight rasp in his voice; being a gifted actor, not many people could see through him when he got it through his head to pretend.
