Her expression growing hard, Lasha practically spat..
"Usstan ssrig'luin nau uss. Whol nau uss ssrig'luinen uns'aa. Ele ph' dos ji curious? Usstan orn'la inbal ssiggrin exile orn'la inbal morfel dos wary d' udossta valyrin." She remembered now, the story, the male drow that was exiled because of his dangerous advancement in magics. He was a threat to the race if he remained.
The pain in her head was slowly, but surely fading for now. But her frustration and anger showing clearly by her glinting eyes.
"I do not fear what these two hear. They have proved their own hearts to me not a half hour ago, and I trust them." The slender female gave Imo and Yolanda a trusting look before those inky black eyes turned back to Ravenar, softening a bit as her fury ebbed.
"I am truely sorry for house DeMirro, they were strong in arms and in magics, But forgive me if I do not trust you right away. ..I believe there is a human saying fitting for this..'Old habits die hard'.

Imo struggled to try to understand their conversation; the effort was a little bit like trying to untangle one particular thread from a mess of yarn scattered about a room; possible, but difficult, and easier with practice. He'd gotten used to normal human speech long ago--its thread was thick and easy to find, even without looking. Drow speech, on the other hand, seemed a line of the finest spider silk twisted into endless loops and hidden in the dark corners...
The ancient dragons could easily understand any language, from sheer practice if nothing else. Imolaured was having a tad bit more trouble, especially since he wasn't in the best physical or mental state to attempt anything remotely trying.
((short, but it wouldn't have made any sense for him to jump in on the others' conversation so suddenly...))

"Well, mine have had time to die. And if you know my story, you'd know that I fear no Drow." Ravenar's crimson eyes shone with a rare dangerous aura, knowing that his spells could easily penetrate the innate Drow magical resistance.
"As far as your habits, it is quite understandable. However, I have just aided Yolanda here in your recovery... I think that we all, including Yolanda, Imo and myself, deserve a bit of an explanation as to why you are here... A serious one, mind you..." He said.
If there was one thing he did not like, it was those that would not trust. The pure stubbornness angered him easily, grated at his nerves. He would not harm her but he may be tempted to shout or simply just raise his voice above the normal level that he kept it at.
He would see if she would cooperate...

Imo's eyes narrowed. "I need no explanation from her. If anything, I feel one from you is required in this case, but I do not and will not demand it, especially as Yolanda has at some point found reason to trust you with Lasha's life." He shifted onto his haunches, raising his head to glare at the male drow from above.
Having stated his defense of Lasha, Imo returned to his quiet observation of the procedings. The drow had a right to state his own desire for an explanation, but he had no right to claim the desire for all three of them. The statement had rankled him greatly, no less for the fact that it resembled the beginning of unneccessary interrogation. Lasha would tell them what she wanted when she willed.

"Point well taken, Imo... Forgive me, both of you," He turned in turn to Yolanda and Imo, "For speaking on your behalf..." He stood up, turned, and walked a few steps, before turning back to face the Drow.
"Well then, I would tell you my story, but I am certain that you already know it, Miss Lasha... You do not mind if I call you Lasha?" He didn't really wait for an answer.
"Yolanda knows my story, of course, but Imo, you do not. So therefore, I shall enlighten you." He said with a nod towards Imo.
"I am an exile. I was thrown out of my home due to my ability to pierce the innate Drow magical resistance with ease, without even trying. My magics just pierce right through... And for some reason, when my master attempted to down me with the most powerful spell he knew, one that should've worked, it bounced right off as if it were nothing... and subsequently killed more Drow around us... I was blamed." He said. "I did nothing wrong. My instruction was to cast those spells upon those mages as practice. I knew not I would kill them. I would never take a life without good reason..."

Yolanda, through all this time was thinking. Since she had nothing to say and could not even faintly understand the strange Drow exchange, she thought. Since they were in the mages district, the two of them were safe. However, there was a limit to her hospitality.
While she listened to the familliar story that Ravenar told, she wondered about Lasha's. She couldn't have left on her own will. There was something about her that seemed as if she did not exactly wish to be here on the surface.
"I agree with Ravenar," she stated, "If you don't mind, I would like to know more about your situation." She turned to stare at Lasha, her eyes holding little emotion, besides curiosity.

Once more looking from Yolanda to Imo her eyes flickered to the other drow before sighing resignedly. She knew that this male could do as he said, though he did not know it, one of Lasha's many brothers was of those that were killed. The dark elf had been there that day to watch, and that day had ended in tears and a hard heart. Though she had been much younger then, it was still something that hurt. And even though Lasha had dyed her hair and become a different person, she still struggled with childish fantasies.
"You have left because you had to, I had no choice in the matter. You would know that my two older sisters, Vil'ania and Sharette, were both assasinated before you were banished, leaving me next in line for my mothers position. It was simple, I was kidnapped by some merchants from the surface world, and brought here.
Though the merchant train was attacked by bandits soon after leaving the cave entrance to below the ground. I was released to help defend the band and ended up running instead." Pausing for a moment her eyes hardened even more and dark lips twitched into a half-snarl.
"A slave is what they wanted me for, nothing else but an exotic slave for some rich-t'zarreth." Gritting her teeth, Lashantha closed her eyes a moment in an attempt to calm herself. When she had succeeded in doing so she finished.
"I havn't been able to find that cave to this day, since I was kept in a chained wooden box the whole time. Any spell I knew then that would get me out would blast me apart as well."
Because the female was too weak, thats why. That was always her answer, and the reason she pushed herself so hard. She was too weak to have escaped the pale worms that had taken her, too weak to defeat them untill she was let out. Just too weak.

"I did not have to leave, you know." Ravenar said. "I could have faced execution, but the Grand Matron decided it better to leave me alive, letting me live the rest of my days in what she thought would be prosecution, torment and hiding like a coward... But no. I found a friend, one who decided to look beneath the cover and find what kind of person I really am..." He turned his back to the group.
He shook his head. "There was no choice in my matter. I was nearly flayed alive by the Handmaidens, and they dragged me, bleeding, before the Grand Matron, who, in her 'mercy'," He nearly mocked, "Healed me, then threw me out of the Underdark, unconcious..."
"And as far as finding a way back, Lasha, do you think you would be welcomed? They would think you weak because they are cold and heartless, believing only in strength in power and not good will, peace or anything that humans hold dear. Humans are much more logical, much more forgiving and kind. They are like us in ways, however few. But it makes no difference."
"Know that had I the choice, even if I would no longer be prosecuted for my power, I would still live here with the chances of being caught and beaten and possibly killed by humans..."
Ravenar was more than sincere about this statement.
"But my point is, Lasha, I know for a fact they would not take you back in. They are not that forgiving... They would see you weak for being kidnapped by humans and throw you back out again." Ravenar turned to Lasha, having had his back turned to her the whole time.
"You know I am right, Lasha."

Yolanda looked from Ravenar to Lasha, noting the tension between them. Clearing her throat, she decided to intervene.
"It's late, why don't we get some rest?" she offered, "There are rooms upstairs." Turning her attention back to the male Drow, she added, "You can stay too, if you like."
What little she had learned about Drow society, she had learned from Ravenar. It was so different from the surface where she had lived her life. According to her friend, the Drow were heartless and cold. After meeting two of them, she wondered weather it was true or not. Both were certainly powerful, but they didn't seem...like she had first imagined.
While she had been pondering, the faint edges of a vision washed over her, like a wave. It had been awhile since she had summoned a vision and even longer since one came of it's own accord.
The vision was more of a feeling than anything. Only fleeting images came, but the effect was like hitting a wall. The mage shuddered. Something was not right...something very bad was going to happen. Yolanda's hands began to shake and she needed her staff to steady herself. Her face paled as the vision assaulted her. Unprepared, she tried to push it away, but to no avail. Her dark green optics widened as the feeling of dread seemed to consume her.
"No..." she breathed, the room's temperature seemed to drop, although it stayed constant.
((Ooh! I wonder what's going to happen... ninja ))

Glaring at the male drow a moment she smoothed her face over when the mage cleared her throut. Leaving his accusations unanswered, she knew he was right and Lashantha did not like it. Then Yolanda began to sway and the drow was on her feet in an instant.
The human had helped her so much already, the least the slender female could do was this.
"Whats wrong? You need to sit down.." And with that she gently, but firmly guided her to the couch, pushing away the sudden headrush from standing so quickly.
"Imo? What do you sense my scaled friend?" Her own sensitive drow senses knew something wasn't exactly right with Yolanda, but it didn't seem life threatening.

"She has... magic... around her. Different from normal human magic, I think..." Imo approached the mage, sniffing carefully at her person from about a foot away. "It's... more like dragon magic than anything human. I doubt she has much control over it," he added with a slight frown of concern. "But I don't understand its purpose at all."
Imo sat back on his haunches and cocked his head to the side as he studied the human, tail twitching absently with his thoughts. He wasn't quite as attatched to Yolanda as he was to Lasha, but he had the same duty as a friend to both of them through their exchange of wares. After a couple seconds he yawned widely; the action of exhaustion showed off his long, thin, forked and blue-ish tongue against his canines.

"I think I will, thank-" He was cut off as Yolanda swayed to the side. He had never seen her do this before, or had he? He didn't remember... his memory was fickle at times.
He did not panic, however, as it did not seem to be serious. He heard Imo's comment. "Indeed, I have not seen something like this... I think." He added thoughtfully.
Had she done this before? He tried to remember... He would, most likely, but right now... he wasn't so sure if he would.

Yolanda shook her head, the vision finally subsiding.
"I'm fine, really. It was just...a strange feeling," she sighed and rubbed her head. Hopefully there wasn't going to be a headache tonight.
"I'll find you a place to sleep for tonight," She smiled softly, using her staff to stand and keep herself steady. The vision had been sudden, but not severe. Still, the feeling lingered like a cold wave, washing over her. She shuddered.
Her visions almost always meant doom. Rarely in her memory can she recall a happy vision. The problem with being able to read the future was that she was unable to prevent it. Once you were told what would happen, the future predicted would be inevitable.

Keeping a close eye on her, Lashantha stepped back to let Yolanda stand on her own. Upon seeing her sword by the couch, the drow quickly snatched it up and tied it to her belt.
Lasha loved that sword, for it had kept her alive through many situations. She wasn't sure still what all its properties were, but it had shown a few of them over time. The slender femal already knew that it never needed sharpening or oiling, and that it seemed to pulse whenever she was near something unusual or secretive, but that was about it so far.
Waiting for the mage to show the way, the females black eyes flickered to the male quickly before settling on Imo.
"I guess it would be your turn to pass out now" She chuckled. Though it would not be very amusing if it actually happened. Lasha had grown very fond of the young dragon and didn't want anything to happen to him.
