I have Xbox 360 AND Wii. And I can tell from experience that the Wii only has a few awesome titles that makes it worth buying. But only because of those games. I name Zelda, Brawl and Metriod Prime 3.

Xbox has a ******** huge variaty of games and majority of those games rock. I go for Xbox 360. I just love it when 3 dudes die when I empty my NS3000 on them in Battlefield Bad Company on Xbox Live

You should be hung. The Wii sells well for 2 reasons:
1) It's cheap
2) It appeals to non-gamers

This is great for sales, so Nintendo made the right choice. The downside is that Nintendo has completely forgotten, if not betrayed, all of the serious gamers that have kept it afloat over the years. Shame on you, Satoru, shame on you.

To anyone with at least half a brain, the Wii is a fruitless 5-minute gimmick that shouldn't be called a real console, rather a casual gaming machine.
Well, for one, you seem to be under the impression that the population that walks this earth are indeed, gamers. You, sir, are misinformed. As nintendo grows, so does it's fans, and son, '5 minutes' is all people have time for nowadays. I know I can't catch a break. You make it seem like a casual gaming console is a bad thing, I think it's great. I can get home from work, chill on the Wii for 20 minutes and work on my portfolio and get my thesis's sorted without feeling I've missed out on gaming time.

See, I think it's a misconception that the Wii is targeted for a younger audience. I like to believe it's directed for an older generation of gamers that have real world s**t to deal with.

And Super Smash Brothers Brawl is the only fighting game ever to not lose it's novelty after a week. You can take your Soul Caliber IV and insert it right up your a**s.

To be honest, I agree with Shane. I don't dislike any gaming console. I just prefer the Wii, simply because it's the most sociable gaming console around. Call some of your pals around, get a couple of crates (John Smiths onli 8D) and you're laughing. It beats a night out in town sometimes. I don't see the point in console wars, each one has it's strengths and fails in certain criteria. The Xbox 360 is a beast of a console, you can deny it if it helps you sleep at night, I don't give a ********.

I at no point said or even hinted at the fact that I believed most of the world's population to be gamers. If anything, I stated the opposite. I agree with you in some part: that the Wii is great for people without much time; however, the other three consoles are also perfect for said people assuming they don't go out and buy Oblivion or Final Fantasy; games which require a lot of time - this is the reason why both Microsoft and Sony offer an online marketplace system where you can purchase, wait for it, casual games, which are designed for busy people and/or people who just don't care enough about serious games. This is one of the reasons I prefer the competition - they offer versatility in their gaming which may not appeal to everyone, such as yourself.

Now, I know what you're going to say: "Who would go and buy $400 PS3 just for casual games?". This depends on the person; are they interested in only the gaming aspect? I recommend the Wii. Are they interested movie playback or media centre support? They should get one of the other two consoles.

Now, about the social aspect of the Wii. Yes, I agree with you. But I don't want to play Mario Party 8 with my family ALL the time, and I don't ALWAYS want people at my house, just to justify playing a game which is terrible alone. Sometimes, I want to sit alone in a dark room and blow some evil aliens to pieces with a big gun.

Still, though, this argument is pointless, because PC gaming wipes the floor with all the consoles, including the Wii.

Hold on a second. I used to be a drooling Sony fanboy, just like you. The fact that I'm hitting 19 changes everything, trust me, when you get to my age, you'd probably be singing a different tune. And yes, you did hint that a majority of people are gamers, in some aspect that is correct. The reason I play video games is to escape reality, it's like smoking or drinking.

is versatile and it's just class. It's pure class, you're never going to see your girlfriend do half the things she does on an Xbox that she does on a Wii (Up for your own interpretation), I'm telling you now. It is good times. Lulz are guaranteed.

f**k you, are you serious? As if anyone would spend £800 on gaming consoles, please. Times are hard with this inflation and credit crunch. Times are hard. My point is, I'm not a miserable person, I love a laugh with my mates which is why I like the Wii, it's simply more suitable for me, it's cheap, it is versatile and it's just class. It's pure class, you're never going to see your girlfriend do half the things she does on an Xbox that she does on a Wii (Up for your own interpretation), I'm telling you now. It is good times. I know the Wii is lulz; I have one, remember? All I'm trying to say is, while it may be entertaining, it's extremely short-lived. That might be my fault because I'm the kind of person that needs constant change to stay happy, but the point is the same: The Wii only kept me entertained for about 2 weeks, which is a bit of a record for a console, and I haven't touched the thing for months.

On that note; however, there is a game coming out on the 26th (I'm not gonna say the name because it's embarrassing , see if you can find it yourself) that could change my opinion on the Wii.

P.S. I like the way you used my real name in the second quote. That leads me to believe Rhys has told you about me and he's probably told you about the Sony fanboyism I was a victim of about a year ago. But, seriously, I own all three consoles and I play 2 of them on a pretty regular basis, so how can I be a true fanboy?

I still can't agree with you that the Wii is a short lived console, it keeps me entertained for weeks on end. Seriously, get a couple of your pals 'round, get a couple of crates and put on Brawl. Good times.

No, Rhys hasn't really talked about you much. I did inquire as to who you actually were a while back, and he told me you were 'That Annoying Paladin that You Didn't Like'.

And oh, if you're talking about that Tiger Woods game, I'd find you, then I'd do terrible things to you and your children. Other games coming out on the 26th include:
Brothers in Arms: Don't put to much stock in this, seriously, FPS and the Wii don't go hand in hand.
Wario Land: Let the good times roll.
Harvest Moon: Thats really kind of homosexual.

building your own PC?

Expensive, probably, a good PC that is abouve the 50-60% mark will fetch you about 600 to 800 if you have none of the parts from you're previous PC (screen, speakers, keyboard, cd drives, operating system)

But time consuming? Not really, 3 hours max to build a pc, max. If I'm in practice, 1 and a half.

Of course, when you are building a pc, you are not just building a gaming platform, but many other things as well.

speaking of which, I just built my new PC yesterday......installing s**t today and hopefully by tomorrow I will have made a new back up of my data from my dying laptop (micro fractured motherboard and such) to my external hard drive anmd then over to my new computer, leaving only the installation of the programs a don't do tonight (most likely games and the stuff I can't get off the internet). That and transferring all my save games, user setting, add-on/plug-in, bookmark and playlist files from their back up folders to where they need to be for them to work.
