Okay, I'm REALLY starting to get annoyed with the Gay/Homosexual/Lesbian/Bi/Christians suck-type threads. (the last one was joke.) I realize that all of them have a valid topic of conversation, and I've posted in half of them, but I would suggest we make a sticky where people can bring up new topics relating to this subject....I don't want us to be like the ED, where half of the topics are "Gay/sTraIT?? gOOD OR BaD~!!?" clones. I'm just suggesting it here, rather than making a new subject... I just noticed that there are about 5 threads on the main page about it...

Heh... wouldn't bother me. You know, all but ten years ago nobody would have been talking about this. Hell, all but FIVE years ago nobody would've been talking about this a lot either. It's a fad topic. It'll wane. Eventually.

It's a fad topic. It'll wane. Eventually. That's my point...As long as it remains a fad topic, people will make clone threads...I think, just to clear the air, we need a sticky on it to save space and make it more coherent..Then when it dies down, debate can continue on slower basis.. (sorry about changing the tread topic! sweatdrop )

It shouldn't effect your religion, then again, if you're doing really bad things, then ex-communication will come! I'm not sure God would be very happy with whoredoms. In my church, we're taught very strictly not to have sex until after marriage. I'm a Mormon, by the way.

Not really. But the religion I was raised in (Catholicism) and my parents sheltering me did cause some problems with accepting my sexuality.

I'm Unitarian Universalist and I'm bisexual. This just urges me to continue being a part of the church, because I know I'll always be accepted.

I was really raised without any religion (but with a lot of Jewish culture in my life) and I knew I didn't believe with the doctrine of the church. It took me a long time for be to find a religion that fit me, and that was Unitarian Universalism, and I am a lesbian which is openly accepted by the churches/fellowships/societies.

ღஐღ For a Buddhist, attachment is attachment, regardless of the object (or person). This means that the orientation itself is irrelevant. The only problem that can arises does so in the mind, based on attachment to temporary sense-pleasures. Mistaking them for being something permanent, lasting, or somehow real.

I'm Christian but I'm very open in my beliefs about homosexuality... but in theory my denomonation is too... the United Methodist church "support open and loving relationships between consenting adult".
That kinda cracks me up xd
Anyway, I understand God would want me to love everyone even if I disagree with their beliefs, I have gay friends who are awesome, so I don't let it bother me too much.

loneguardian Islam most strict probally scientology would accept it the most Actually... Scientology is the most strict. Islam is second. Scientology disagrees with homosexuality to the point that they believe they can cure you from it. To them, they only way a homosexual can be "cured" is by joining the Church of Scientology and go through special auditing sessions.

Oh, man, that is messed up and I find myself laughing (at the sci-guys). Someone said something earlier along these lines. I think Homosexuality(etc) is an important topic to discuss. Homosexuality is here so everyone might as well discuss what they opinions are so we're clear with eachother. I also thing that homosexuality has a lot to do with one's religion, or mre their personal beliefs.
