Stormrunner its what he told me to do, bcause theres no way for me to do any real damage to his warband until then. he has a merc warband with a rating of like 375+. I could go against the dwarf warband which is 500+ since its only lost once when it first began. I find it a weak point of view, to just sacrifice some models in an attempt to gain some quick experience. And just because he tells you to do that does not mean that you should do that.

The only warband i have a chance against would be the nuns. Sisters of Sigmar I believe. Thats only because I can tie up the big threat since it gets close fast. My shadow weaver has shadowbind and is fairly good about rolling over 9.
I would rather lose the two in hopes of getting sniper and shadow pool. That way I can keep my guys alive a little longer since they die like tau in close combat, and from shooting.
But I noticed something on my list. It says maximum size is 12, is that just elves? could I have more mercs?

Though Swords for hire are in some cases expensive.

Mount him on a horse, best way to use a highwayman in my experience. Mobile, good at shooting and can do some damage on the charge.

Fielding two can be risky, as there is a chance that both of them will steal treasure from you. Also not cheap to use two, but if it's required, go for it.

Come to think of it, the Tilean Marksman and Tilean Duelist would make good additions to a pirate warband. Maybe even the assassin?
As for the Marianna rules, it's about time really.

Im going to be making a Beastmen Warband soon, but I hane one question. One of the special skills lets you weild a two handed weapon in one hand, if you use this skill, can you weild two of them?

Or you take out your own missle wepons My response to that: A goblin Spear Chukka and a unit of Black Orcs with Great Weapons. -3 Armor saves from the orcs(who should charge, especially with the Waaagh! banner), and -4 to armor saves from the champions attacks. Plus, they're WS4, WS5 for the champion. What the ******** are you talking about?!
