I agree. Lavendar really annoyed me, too.
As for the book, I really enjoyed it. Good job recapping in my opinion. Not too much, but enough to jog the memory. I've only read the books once and have recently begun collecting my own copies -- I borrow from friends. Most of my buddies cried with Dumbledore, and I'm not sure about Snape. I hope he comes around.. I really find he's often misunderstood, and I would be happy if he does end up helping in the end..

She's yet to really show any signs of being particularly brave or noble, or any of the other Gryffy qualities. I don't dislike her or Parvati particularly, but if there was a 5th house that was known for gossip and giggling, that seems like it'd be more their speed. I hated a lot of the recapping in the earlier books because it just seemed excessive and dull. I definitely liked the way she did it this time around, by actually pulling it into the story and thinning it out a bit. Dumbledore = crying heart . Snape = heart . I'll be hoping for goodness, too. *keeps fingers crossed for the next 2 years* ... surprised

That would be interesting to find out, but I wonder whether Hogwarts will reopen or not since Dumbledore's gone as then we might not know what was going on with Lavendar -- I am curious as to if they'll show her grow out of the giggling stage? I really like Minerva (especially in the films), and hope she is able to carry out headmistress duties, but I don't know if others will attend school? They really made it sound like v.i.p. students were going to be skipping their graduating year, which came as a huge shocker to me...
