"I beg to differ," Lore replied slowly, but honestly trying to fumble through the thoughts and words that went on in his mind and in his heart, "I've met many people, talked to many and worked with a few more over the past several decades, I've read a lot and observed a lot, but you continue to surprise me," he reached out gently pushing her hair back, "I think it's because I don't feel much like an outsider around you."

His assistants meant well he knew, but he never felt part of thier world. Yuki and Tris had each other, the world of dance was more their world than the library. He would suspect that after their time was over, they would go back doing what they did, tip toe upon tight ropes and dance upon air. Rune herself, would continue to see more of the world around her, watching and studying everyone.

He put the shoes aside as he used Tris' tie to tie up his hair into a ponytail even though it did nothing to take away from the fact he looked like a very pretty girl, but that wasn't going to keep him from taking the male role as he took her hand.

With her back against his chest, she took his hand out stretched as she moved her feet into position, like it was second nature. Why not after all, they had been doing this for what would seem like forever to them. Gaining height upon her toes they began to take their first steps together.

"You lead," she whispered.

"I'm glad of that," Elnara smiled, looking up at him, still blushing. "And if it means anything, you've also helped me feel more like I belong - for the first time since I came to this world."

She paused. "What I'm curious to know ... is ... what is it about me that surprises you?" Her expression changed to curiosity, though the flush never left her cheeks. "Am I so unpredictable?"

Skye kept looking down the aisles of books that she passed, and close to the end she spotted some people who ... weren't looking at books. She paused, half hidden behind the end of the row of shelves, peeking around the corner to watch them. What were they doing?

"The way you can put aside your own hurts for someone else's," Lore replied remembering the long talks they had, "I'm ashamed to admit, I did not take who I was with grace," he motioned to the library, "I spent fifty years of my life in these walls trying to look for a so-called cure to my condition, and spent another fifty drowing myself in work after I realized that in a way I was a cure to a different disease, it's a bitter pill to swallow," he admitted, "I couldn't do what you've already done in a short time. You won't spend a century of your life over bitter things."

He contined to hold her hand as he walked her through some of the more complex ballet steps, support her leg, arm or waist as she dipped, and posed upon on the tips of one foot. Yuki held her waist firmly as she dipped down and up again, as if to say, I'll always support you, because that is what he did, he supported her. Yuki bent himself back, his back arching in a way that suggested he was still quite flexible compared to most people.

Still on the tip of one foot, with her other leg stretched outwards behind her, Tristan leaned forward resting her head lightly upon Yuki's chest. Using more of her hands, which was also there for support, that is how she danced. Resting her head on his arm or chest, she moved out of position, the toes of her other foot back on the ground as she too began to bend backwards her arms raised up in an arch over her head, so far most would have fallen over had not someone like Yuki been there to support her back. She trusted him, trusted him to catch her if she fell, normally she would have leaped to shown that trust, but in the confines of the library would not allow that move.

But the meaning to her was still the same, she trusted him.

Skye tiptoed a little closer to get a better look. Whatever they were doing, she liked watching it ... and it looked like fun ... she wondered if she could do it too. She watched for a few more moments, then raised her own arm high (or at least, high to her) above her head and leaned backwards ... and fell backwards, landing hard on her backside.

Elnara was surprised by Lore's words, and her expression showed it. For several moments, she was thoughtful, and then she said softly, "I was bitter ... for a long time. And sometimes, I think I still am ... and I know I would be still if not for all those here who have made me feel not only accepted, but loved."

She hugged the book close to her chest. "Being alone is the biggest contribution to bitterness. Having those around you that you can trust and even love is the best cure for it. I'll never be as carefree or trusting as I once was, but if not having those experiences, the ones that made me bitter, means that I would not have met those I know today ... my new family, friends, and you ... then I would gladly have them repeat."

"Did you hear something?" Tristan asked, pausing in mid movement, she thought she heard a thunk, "Yuki let me down," she told him sternly, "I think someone is here."

She gave him a look that said no tricks, otherwise she might end up in another positon she did not wish to be in.

Lore looked down for a moment, he had never thought of it that way. Would he repeat it all, just for this one chance? Could he honestly say that? To be honest he wasn't sure, within a few weeks his life had turned upside down, but... he knew, he would like to help uplift her even more.

"Trust, isn't fully a problem for me," Lore replied softly, "There are people I trust, but they live... metaphorically speaking, a different world than me, sometimes I feel."

Yuki chuckled at that as he set her down gently, looking around carefully for the sound, "Hmm... now who do you think stumbled upon us eh?"

He chuckled as he walked, walking still like a ballerina would, instead of a person, it made him quieter to walk like that.

Skye looked up at the two people from where she was sitting on the floor, her legs out in front of her in a V. Her wings were fluttering slowly as she watched the one of them approaching her. It was the girl from earlier ... except she looked different. She looked funny. Odd funny, not laughing funny.

She tried to remember the girl's name, but ... no one had told it to her.

Elnara's brow furrowed with sadness. "I know the feeling," she murmured sympathetically. "But still ... being with those you trust is more healing than anything else. As long as there's someone to help you ..."

She shrugged, fighting the urge to give him a reassuring hug. But she knew he needed his personal space ... still, she couldn't shake the feeling that he needed one.

Where were Skye and Serenity when she needed them?

"Hey, it's that kid that elven lady was looking for, the one who's card Lore took care of," Yuki tapped Tristan on the shoulder as he sqauted in front of the little girl, "Hey there," he waved, "Uhm... looking for your Mommy?"

"I know," Lore murmured looking into her eyes, "You have helped me so much more than the time passing has."

He just wasn't sure how to express it, or if he even shound for that matter. A part of him was still looking for permission.

"Yuki," Tristan gave him a look with her arms crossed over her chest, "I don't suppose you have a name to go along with that, since kid doesn't cut it."

She sighed, the poor mother must be worried sick she thought.

Skye smiled and waved back at Yuki. She seemed like a nice lady! Skye lowered her hand, and her smile widened. Maybe she could make some new friends!

She patted herself on the head and said, "Skye!" Then she pointed up at the two funny people that were just in front of her and asked, "Who you?"

Elnara looked up into Lore's eyes, her gaze moving from one to the other and back again, and she blushed, almost positive of what she saw there. But this was the library ... not only was it Lore's work place, but there were lots of people here.

She hugged the book closer so that she wouldn't do anything rash that might jeopardize his job here. And so that she wouldn't do anything to embarrass either herself or him. Besides, what if she was wrong?

"I'm glad," she replied simply, her smile and eyes adding more meaning. A far more personal one.

Lore wondered if he was reading her the way he shouldn't, that maybe.. well he couldn't think about it here, not when he told his assistants to try keep the touching down to a min while in the library (though it didn't stop them from dancing at times).

"As am I," he told her sinerely, "But..." he put a light hand on her shoulder, "I've kept you away from your children a bit too long."

He knew, these children meant a lot to her, and even though he trusted Rune, Rune was only well... as any other person.

Yuki chuckled, now here wasn't a shy one, kind of like himself he thought, "Yuki," he put his hand over his heart before touching Tristan on the shoulder, "Tristan."

"Cute kid," Tristain murmured watching the little angel, she was cute all dressed in blue and with blue wings, which she thought was unusual, but then again what did she know? She rarely travelled until she started to track down the b***h who called herself a lady.

Skye blinked at Yuki, confused. "Uncy 'Kito?" she asked, cocking her head. Then she shook it. "No, not Uncy 'Kito," she said solemnly, her eyes not leaving the two strange people. " 'Ki?"

And she had missed the second one entirely. Well, there was one way to fix that. She got to her feet and skittered up to Yuki, holding her hands up to her. "Up!" she smiled.

The best way - the only way - for her to get their names right would be to watch their mouths closely, and feel their throats as they spoke.

Elnara blinked, then laughed softly. "Has it been so long already?" she murmured. She wasn't quite sure how his hand on her shoulder felt to her. The movement had been unexpected, but she didn't mind it at all. It was comforting ... and friendly. More? Or did she only hope?

"Yes," she smiled, looking up at him again. "I suppose I should find them back again. And I've kept you from your work for far too long as well, I'm sure. I'm sorry."

Sorry for being a bother - but glad to have spent time with him again.
