(Actually, the Sol mail is an armor, it's just called mail.) Skyeheart would have to do something unexpected to get out of this one. So he gave a quick freeze blast from his mouth. The impulse shot him back like a cannon, giving him time to build up a guard with his guantlets. He then breathed the frigid ice again, freezing the ground in front of the man. There was no way he could keep his balence in that position and speed, and if he jumped up, it would be the best time to get in a hit.

((Armor, Mail; same weakpoints.)) Smiling slightly, he liked that power. He might have to take it... Seeming to disappear again, there was no diconfiguration on the ice. The man did not move on the ground, hence the reason there was no noise when he ran. Appearing for only a second at Skye's side once again. Three attacks were made from this point; one at the neck, one at the unner elbow and another at the hip. However, that was onlt made with one blade; the other blade was held with him, preparing for a counter attack.

The man was too incensed at his oppenent however, to realize just where he was. Skyeheart had backed into the wall, making only frontal offensives unhindered. His blade scraped the wall, screeching like a thousand nails, and ended up missing. What happened next could not be predicted either. Skyeheart aimed his attack not at him, but his weapon. With both fully charged gauntlets, he pincered the flat end of the blade, shattering it completely. This offensive didn't come without a safeguard either. Skyeheart's wings extended, preventing the man from immeditely using his other arm.

((Damn it, you need to say when change the terrain. -.-)) Skyeheart had now set up an obstacle... but one that could easily be overcome. With a slight jerk he flung himself back, keeping the blade in a defensive position. As soon as his feet touched the ground spikes shot from the wall, ground and ceiling. This left the only option to go foreward... but that too would be very dangerous. In a fraction of a second the leftover sword had changed into a halberd, which was expertly thrust at the neck of his enemy. If Skye tried to dodge the spikes he would get his head cut off. But, if he blocked the halberd he would get impaled. Both attacks were moving fast enough to breack through almost anything, armor or scale.

(Sorry.) Skyeheart was pincered, but he was used to such tactics. He wouldn't be able to block with his arms, that would take too much time, but he had another plan. He lunged forward away from the spikes, and opened his mouth. In a snap, he caught the blade of the halberd between his fangs, biting down hard. Once again, the weapon snapped, being stressed from both sides. Skyeheart then thrust his own weapon, his Fire Fang forward.

Normally such a tactic would work, but the entire halberd was made from metal. When the halberd broke it left a jagged, spiked end. Moving the pole just slightly, he thrust it it again at a slight downward angle so it would hit his throat again. No more blocking with his mouth, for it would push the eblade back. No reaction time. The sword would fall short because of the pole's length.

But the pole would never reach the neck, not solid anyway. The pole and Fire Fang were so close, the intense heat instantly melted the pole into a molten compound. Metal could harm the dragonewt, but heat? He simply gained strength from it, as did his Sol Mail as the molten liquid fell helplessly onto the breastplate. Now the Fire Fang was at point blank range. To add to that, Skyeheart spat the halberd's edge which had melted in his mouth too at the man's eyes.

With a single flap of his massive wings the man was far enough away from the blad to not get hit, and made enough of a gust to easily push back a creature; even one clad in armor. Without another moment of hesitation there was another halberd in his hand and he charged Skye again, aiming for the neck. There were three reasons why this one was special; one it was longer. Two it was made from Jumi ore, which was a mineral that fire did nothing against. The third reason... well, he would have to find out.

(No, come on. You could have avoided it two posts back, but you decided to press the attack and got closer. I said it was at point blank. I'm logging off now anyways.)

((If it was point blank in a thrusting motion, the flames never would have touched the halberd pole. And I overlooked the fact that even if you are of dragon-kin, a halberd would still get you considering the length of the point and the sides of the blade, would still get your entire inner mouth. I also overlooked the fact that metal doesn't instantly melt, especially when exposed to air. Like when you make a blade, the ore doesn't just melt, it isn't lead.))

(Sorry. I understand I'm pressing my limits, I just want to hold my own until Reeve and Ziven come like they said and we all team up and beat this guy as planned. That's the overall plot right? By the way, I'm going to be on Gaia for less time in the near future, got college preparation issues to deal with.)

Blast it, I'm getting nowhere like this. Skyeheart took the chance to evade when the man gave him some distance and then attacked again, changing weapons to his tidal trident. If it was a game of lances his wanted, he would find out that Skyeheart was just as adept with it as he was with swords, not to mention endurance was one of his specialties. Still...my attacks have only done minimal damage. Even Aliator would at least have a flesh wound from my previous manuevers. But then again, he prefers power over speed as well.
And those attacks, I thought magic was nullified in this dimension... Then Skyeheart had an epiphiny. Or maybe the correct saying...is his dimension...

Stepping through the tear, Reeve looked around for a moment. He could hear movement in the room, and for a moment he seemed to disappear. Suddenly he was at the door, the blade already lodged into it. Suddenly a loud scream was heard from the blade and the door was literally blown into small particles. It didn't matter if his presence was known, as long as Ziven and Skyeheart managed to leave. He seemed to disappear again, only to reappear right above the man; his sword positioned to tear his father in half.
Seeing the door blow apart made the man smile a bit, no longer caring about Skyeheart. There were only three other people that could do that here, and two of them were already under controll. When Reeve reappeared the man turned violently with the halberd. Hitting the blade would be useless, so the attack was aimed for the outter arm.

Reeve seemed to move so fast, she could hardly keep up with where he went. Running after him, she kept an eye out to see if there were any other dangers, but there seemed not to be. Arriving in the room that he was now in, she realized they were all together now, the Dragon man and Skye too. Moving around the other men, she went to Skye's side. "It is good to find you friend."

"Lady Ziven....I'm glad you're here. I just had an idea how to level the playing field. It's a bit of a gambit, and if I'm wrong, I'll be losing a few thousand years off me. Then again, with the average lifespan of dragonkin, what's a few thousand? If you helped me with this, it could be more successful. First off, do you know about the properties of existance?" (If you've watched Shakugan no Shana, you'd know what he's talking about)
